Today Sherry sits down and talks about some of the traditions she and her husband have started with their 3 year old, Charlotte. From baking, to crafts, gingerbread houses, to movies, and all in between. With 2020 throwing a crowbar into our lives it is these traditions that Sherry is leaning so heavily on to keep the spirit of Christmas alive in her family. Merry Christmas everyone!

Today Sherry talks about 3 mommy vloggers that she really enjoys! She talks about The Braniff Family from North Carolina, made up of CR, Angela, Kennedy, Shelby, Jonah, Noah, Rosie, Ivy, Amelia, and Benjamin. They are a blended family of biological kids and adopted kids. They chose domestic adoption, international adoption, and embryo adoption! They are an amazing Christian family that homeschools they kids and lives on a farm! They have wonderful children and are just an amazing family to watch. You can find them on Youtube and Instagram at This Gathered Nest. Then she talks about The Swannie Family, made up of Justin, Rachelle, Brynn, Emma, Reuben and Asher. Rachelle is very open about the couples struggle with infertility and the loss of their first born Brynn at 20 weeks. Since her passing they have successfully transferred, through IVF, 3 more children, Emma (2 years old), and Reuben and Asher (twins about 6 months old). It's wonderful to see such a young couple be so open and honest about their struggles with fertility so that maybe other women or couples going through it will have somewhere to feel some sense of belonging. you can find them on Youtube at Rachelle and Justin and on Instagram at Rachelleswannie and Justinswannie. And finally Sherry talks about The Leach Family, however specifically Brittani (the mom) and Crew (the youngest child). In September of 2019 Crew was born and in December of 2019 Crew suddenly and tragically passed away. This story took social media by storm. Since his passing the hashtag #kindnessforcrew has erupted around the world with people doing random acts of kindness in his name to help spread his story. This story was absolutely heart breaking and the internet came together to help support Brittani in this distressing time. However, the small pocket of the internet reared its ugly head and had to say some horrible things to her. I hope we can all remember that saying our mothers taught us as children, "If you don't have anything nice to say dont't say anything at all." You can find Brittani on Youtube at Brittani Boren Leach and also on Instagram at brittaniborenleach.
Today Sherry, Tanya and Joni discuss Cyber Week, new announcements from Disney and their Thanksgiving Holiday.
In the show this week Where or how have you felt most alive this week? Sue’s been helping business owners to find their inner super hero (no small ask at Breakfast time!) and Sherry’s been checking out where her LinkedIn clients are hiding their lights under bushels! (01.25 – 08.44) How have you been challenged? This week we chew over an issue commonly faced by senior leaders in organisations, entrepreneurs and small business owners alike…. isolation and loneliness in leadership. There’s no doubt that leadership can be lonely, and it’s important to have strategies in place to keep you on track, to help you connect & communicate with those around you (and yourself!), and to ensure you stay fully aligned with your purpose – the big Why that led you to this leadership opportunity. We explore some of those strategies and share our own experience of what we’ve learned so far in our own leadership journeys. (08.45 – 28.50) So where are you building momentum right now Momentum is critical in getting past the Tipping Point! Sue’s been grasping opportunities with both hands, not just speaking but also accepting an invitation to talk about Team Building on BBC radio. Sherry gets really honest about an area that’s not gathering momentum….. yet, which prompts a quick discussion on the importance of chunk size in getting things going! (28.55 – 35.05) How have you been inspired this week? Sue introduces us to her six year old neighbour who knows how to ask for what he wants – with a clarity that can be very helpful to us in business. Sherry’s been inspired and deeply moved by the work of Helen Bennett, who helps teenagers to build self confidence and self esteem through creating the opportunity for them to have dinner and discussion with local business leaders. Inspirational! (35.10 – 40.30) What else or what next? Sue notices that our discussion has prompted her to give some thought to how she adds even more ‘wow’ to her work with clients, and Sherry is looking forward to achieving the right level of balance between family and business during the holidays. (40.32 – 42.50) Mentioned on the show and other useful links Today Sherry mentioned her interview with Helen Bennett. Read the article that inspired her to connect with Helen here.
