Four years ago, Vladimir Putin rolled Russian tanks into Ukraine at the start of a full-scale invasion. Now, as peace talks lead by Trump and the USA fail to make progress, there is no easy end in sight for the most deadly conflict in Europe since World War Two. With host Latika Bourke (The Nightly) in Kyiv for the anniversary of the war, she joins Kylie Morris in speaking to official Yuiry Sak about why Ukraine is emerging from Winter 'stronger and more united'. Research shows a clear link between digital maturity and HR's strategic influence — organizations with high maturity are twice as likely to have HR seen as strategic. Yet Nordic organizations score just 2.9 out of 5, and only 7% report advanced HR digitalization. The gap isn't willingness — it's exposure. Anna Carlsson breaks down different types of events HR professionals should know about, from local conferences and international HR tech shows to community meetups and vendor events. She shares a three-horizon framework for choosing the right mix, explains the difference between paid and free events, and uses data from the Nordic HR Trends and Tech Report and Sapient Insights Group's 28th Annual HR Systems Survey to build a concrete business case for getting budget.
SCALES - THE TIPPING POINT, min., South Africa Directed by Bruce Young Bruce Young is a deeply curious filmmaker from South Africa who is fascinated by pangolins, an animal on the edge of extinction. Scales is his third film about the animal. This time he is on a personal quest to find out why these quiet, shy, harmless, and yet charismatic little creatures are the most trafficked mammals on the planet. And if there is any hope that they will survive. —— Subscribe to the podcast: Tweets by wildsoundpod https://www.instagram.com/wildsoundpod https://www.facebook.com/wildsoundpod

“That's the buzz word: every time somebody says, ‘tipping point', you must drink…” Whether it's measured by a string of commercially successful albums or one's own personal preference, almost every metal band has (at a minimum) produced a TRILOGY of albums that represent a three-album run of back-to-back-to-back awesomeness. “That's the law, man…it's gotta be three…rules is rules.” Granted, we're all very well aware that some bands have far exceeded such a phenomenal feat THRICE in a row. But to keep things fair, we limited our parameters to the perfect TRIFECTA of albums representing a band's turkey, hat trick, or as we refer to it here at Bunkerpoon Palace, “the power threesome of perfection”. “It's a quadraplatic-ogy…” When in doubt, remember that “y'all should be more like Paul” and keep in mind that you “can't say that word!” because “all therapists are gonna be upset”. Church Answers researcher Ryan Burge recently released a stunning and sobering report on the ages of congregants of various denominations. It's not a pretty picture. Many churches will soon die or become moribund because of one simple factor: their church members are dying and not being replaced. Jess and Thom examine four aspects of this demographic decline and death. The post When the Average Age Lies: The Demographic Tipping Point appeared first on Church Answers.

"There is a public health disaster. There is an education disaster. It all can be traced to the same cause, which is the change technology has made in our kids' childhood."Amol Rajan speaks to the American social psychologist Jonathan Haidt. In 2024 his book The Anxious Generation sparked a fierce debate about the impact of social media and technology on young people. Haidt believes it's behind the soaring number of mental health problems but social media companies claim this oversimplifies a deeply complex issue. Now he says we are at a tipping point in our relationship with technology, with countries moving towards much greater regulation of social media use for children.Thank you to the Radical team for its help in making this programme. The Interview brings you conversations with people shaping our world, from all over the world. Larry Sharpe returns to dismantle the NY GOP's culture of losing with a fusion voting strategy that weaponizes state matching funds to eliminate property taxes and bring nuclear power to the Empire State. Larry Sharpe, candidate for New York Governor, joins Brian Nichols to reveal his "Fusion Voting" strategy to break the Democrat stronghold and why the NY GOP's "weak resistance" results in a 24-year losing streak. Larry explains how running on the Republican, Conservative, and Libertarian lines simultaneously allows him to bypass the "spoiler" effect while weaponizing New York's matching funds system to finance a liberty-focused revolution. He breaks down the failure of the current establishment to address the exodus of residents and details why the "Red Team, Blue Team" mindset is destroying the Empire State. We expose the reality of New York's broken political machine and how Larry plans to use a Sovereign Wealth Fund to eliminate school property taxes overnight. You need to hear this blueprint for decentralizing education, rejecting federal funding to fire bloat-heavy administrators, and empowering local communities with 50% ownership of new nuclear power plants. This isn't just a campaign speech; it's a tactical guide on how to dismantle a one-party state from the inside out using actual policy solutions rather than empty rhetoric. On this Health & Wellness Wednesday episode of https://RushToReason.com, John Rush asks questions most people avoid—until it's too late. John explores how everyday choices quietly shape long-term outcomes, from skin health to cancer prevention. Leo Park, CEO of Soul Beauty Club (https://www.seoulbeautyclub.com/), challenges Western skincare thinking, explaining why Korean beauty focuses on hydration, skin-barrier health, and long-term routines—not quick fixes. Why are men increasingly paying attention too? And are Americans damaging their skin by doing too much, too soon? Then the conversation deepens with oncologist Dr. Francisco Contreras, Director of Oasis of Hope Hospital (https://www.oasisofhope.com/), who delivers a surprising message: cancer is not just about genetics—it's about lifestyle. Can happiness, real food, and movement dramatically lower cancer risk? Why do developed countries see higher cancer rates? And what happens when conventional medicine is combined with natural therapies instead of competing with them? This hour doesn't offer hype—it offers perspective. If you think health is something you “deal with later,” this conversation may change that mindset entirely. Guest Timestamps * Leo Park – Soul Beauty Club: -14:57 * Dr. Francisco Contreras – Oasis of Hope Hospital: -30:56 HOUR 2 Hour 2 opens with a powerful and timely conversation as Richard Battle (https://RichardBattle.com) joins John Rush to reflect on the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln. As the nation marks Lincoln's birthday, the discussion draws sharp parallels between Lincoln's era and today's divided America. Was the country actually more fractured then than it is now? And what can Lincoln's perseverance, humility, and commitment to unity teach a modern nation struggling with identity, sovereignty, and purpose? The hour then shifts gears as Sunny Kutcher from Young Americans Against Socialism https://yaas.org) joins the show to break down rising political unrest in Los Angeles, outsider candidates challenging the status quo, and why younger Americans are starting to disengage—or re-engage—altogether. From voter ID and election integrity to civic responsibility and constitutional citizenship, this hour asks hard questions: Why is identity verification expected everywhere except the ballot box? And what happens when citizens finally push back? This is an hour about history, culture, and consequences—connecting America's past to the crossroads we face right now. Guest Timestamps * Richard Battle – Author / Historian: - 1:53 * Sunny Kutcher – Young Americans Against Socialism: - 28:00 HOUR 3 Hour 3 delivers a wide-ranging, no-holds-barred conversation that moves from culture and politics to markets and the future of work. John Rush is joined by Jim Pfaff of The Conservative Caucus (https://theconservativecaucus.com/), breaking down Super Bowl halftime controversies, media hypocrisy, and why conservatives must hold their own side accountable, not just the left. The discussion sharpens around the SAVE America Act, voter ID, and election integrity—asking a blunt question: can a republic survive if its elections aren't trusted? The hour then turns inward as John addresses Colorado politics, party loyalty, and the real cost of running unaffiliated. What happens when a candidate leaves the party structure—and who pays the political price? The final stretch shifts to economics and innovation with Scott Garliss of Bent Pine Capital (https://www.bentpinecapital.com/). Together, they unpack surprising job numbers, inflation signals, Fed policy, and why AI may be accelerating productivity faster than policymakers realize. Is manufacturing quietly rebounding? Will AI eliminate jobs—or force businesses to reinvent? And is the Federal Reserve already behind the curve? This hour challenges assumptions—and dares listeners to connect the dots. Guest Timestamps * Jim Paff – Conservative Caucus:-1:11 * Scott Garlis – Bent Pine Capital: -27:13

“You know what I'm hearing? This sounds like it could have been…the sidepiece…to The Black Album…” There's almost a strange, sarcastic satisfaction in knowing that the new self-titled MEGADETH album will forever be known (at least in our neck of the woods anyway) as “The White Album”. “Every time you keep talking, I just see shapes and letters…” Released on January 23, 2026, MEGADETH is the 17th studio album from Dave Mustaine and Company and represents the final chapter in the 40+ year history of the angriest, snarliest, and most progressively technical thrash band of The Big Four. And oh yeah, it debuted at NUMBER ONE on Billboard and at the top of the charts all over the world!!! While MEGADETH represents the band's epilogue, it contains all of the elements that have defined the band's sound and the ethos of the genre that they co-created with the rest of The Big Four. All of the essentials are there: insanely technical riffs, face melting guitar solos, triumphant twin guitar harmonies, as well as some more straight ahead, laid back and accessible material that screams “radio friendly” without being dull or boring. If you're a fan, you'll dig it. And if you're not a fan, who knows? You too may also dig it. “Maybe it's not pronounced ‘Tey-Muu'…it's pronounced ‘Steve'.” Always remember that “Rugby is a man's sport that should be having grindcore bands playing the halftime show…” and that “You're gonna paint secret little bushes like you paint secret little bushes… (and don't you tell anybody). On this week's Tipping Point conversation Paul and Wally discuss numerous important issues in the New Mexico Legislature: SB 17 the anti-gun bill passes New Mexico's Senate SB 18 (the attack on energy and New Mexico's economy) awaits a vote on the Senate floor though Sen. Sharer has used a parliamentary procedure to slow debate. SB 131 by Sen. Moe Maestas would reform numerous zoning and other housing restrictions. Sadly it was killed in its first committee Anti-ICE bill HB 9 passes and is signed by MLG. The Gov.'s free child care plan has been revised to include copays for wealthier beneficiaries. SB 2 road bill signed by MLG including new taxes (bad) and a new fee on EV's. $1.5 billion in new road funding. HB 99 medical malpractice changes are up in the House Judiciary today. Can it be made effective by stripping out an unfortunate amendment? Democrats, superintendents, and other defenders of NM's status quo have produced a report claiming that NM is better in education than believed.
In the episode Mark has a conversation with Aaron Goodman about how human beings change. In Aaron's words, "Vulnerability is the tipping point of change." Change is hard. We oftentimes try to change by doing something impressive, or powerful. But we actually change through the pathway of being vulnerable. In this episode Mark talked about The Purpose Challenge. THE electronic bill of lading has been one of the most talked-about innovations in container shipping for years now. Advocates say it can slash costs, cut fraud, and ultimately unlock an entirely new world of digital trade finance. Sceptics say we've been hearing that promise for a decade — and paper still dominates. The latest DCSA figures put global EBL adoption at around eleven percent. That's growing, but it's a long way from the one-hundred-percent target that container shipping carriers have set themselves for 2030. So where do we actually stand? To find out, APAC editor Cichen Shen sat down with two people at the centre of the shift: George Guo, the chief executive of IQAX, one of the two largest EBL providers in the world by volume; and Peter Hartz, Maersk's head of ocean surcharges, value-added services and energy products.

In less than three years, the amount of tokenized real-world assets has grown eightfold, to more than $30 billion across equities, fixed income, private assets, real estate and more. And that's just the start of the tokenization revolution, experts predict, because of four main drivers: Increased liquidity for illiquid assets, broader investor access, operational efficiency, and global distribution and interoperability. Our guests for this episode are:Ric Edelman, who launched Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals, the first education platform helping financial advisers responsibly navigate crypto, blockchain, and tokenized assets.Scott Lucas, Head of Markets Digital Assets for J.P. Is the middle class getting priced out of pet ownership? With headlines warning of rising pet debt and skyrocketing veterinary costs, I sat down with Lane Kent, former CEO of Independence Pet Group, to discuss the affordability crisis in pet care and the role pet insurance can play in addressing it.Lane shares why pet insurance adoption remains stuck at 4% despite over 90% of Americans considering pets family members, what's fundamentally broken about current product designs, and why he believes we're approaching a tipping point that could see adoption reach 10% within the next decade. We also discuss the 43% increase in veterinary costs since COVID, how employer-sponsored benefits could drive adoption, the promise of telemedicine and wearable technology, and why the current reimbursement model needs to evolve.Key topics:→ Why buying pet insurance is like buying homeowner's insurance after a fire starts→ The structural flaw of underwriting health insurance as property & casualty→ Signs of change: major insurers entering the market→ Lane's prediction for pet insurance adoption→ The PAWS Act and tax-deductible pet expensesAbout the Guest:Lane Kent is the former CEO of Independence Pet Group, one of the largest holding companies of pet insurance brands in the United States, encompassing approximately 25 brands including Pumpkin and Pets Best Insurance Services, LLC.About Peter Kenseth & Petworking:Peter Kenseth is the host of the Petworking podcast and Vice President & Partner at Maia Strategy Group, where he leads the Pet Care & Animal Health practice. He is also the founder of the Petworking Angel Fund, which provides financial assistance to families facing economic euthanasia decisions for treatable conditions.
1. U.S. Government & Political Context The podcast opens with a brief discussion of the government shutdown that ended quickly, and is evidence of political posturing rather than substantive conflict. The transition sets the stage for broader national security concerns rather than domestic legislative issues. 2. Emergence of the Polisario Front as a National Security Threat The Polisario Front, a separatist group in Western Sahara founded in 1973, is presented as an underrecognized but growing terrorist threat. Iran is funding, training, and supplying the group, attempting to turn it into a West African proxy similar to the Houthis. Alleged activities include: Collaboration with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Hezbollah Use of drones, weapons transfers, and regional destabilization Labeling the group as a terrorist organization is essential, this represents a dangerous blind spot in U.S. counterterrorism policy. 3. Accusation of Institutional Caution and “Deep State” Resistance State Department officials are portrayed as intentionally evasive during Senate testimony. The analysis claims this reluctance stems from: Ongoing diplomatic efforts in Africa Desire to avoid disrupting negotiations involving Morocco and Algeria 4. Iran at a “Tipping Point” Iran has become internally fragile, facing: Widespread protests Mass casualties allegedly ranging from 10,000–40,000 protesters The Iranian regime’s actions (e.g., drones near U.S. naval assets, attempted tanker seizures) are interpreted as provocations meant to rally domestic support and distract from internal collapse.: Negotiations with Iran are a delaying tactic The U.S. should support Iranian protesters directly, including by providing weapons Regime change is framed as: Preferable if carried out by Iranians themselves Potentially the largest positive national security shift since the Cold War if successful. 5. Global Domino Effect Narrative Iran is grouped with Venezuela and Cuba as regimes allegedly near collapse. Simultaneous democratic transitions in all three would represent a historic geopolitical realignment in favor of U.S. interests. 6. Netflix–Warner Bros. Merger & National Security Concerns The proposed $83 billion Netflix–Warner Bros. merger is criticized on two main grounds: Cultural and ideological influence The entertainment industry is portrayed as overwhelmingly left‑leaning and hostile to conservative or pro‑American perspectives. Concern that increased market power could amplify ideological “propaganda.” Foreign influence Alarm over foreign (especially Middle Eastern and Chinese) capital shaping American entertainment content. Content has been altered or censored to appease foreign governments. The merger is not merely an antitrust issue but as a matter of national sovereignty and cultural security. A surge of federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis and surrounding communities has pushed questions of public safety, federal power, and civil liberties into the national spotlight. After two fatal shootings involving immigration officers, national polling shows growing concern about ICE tactics and increasing support for oversight and reform. We break down how Americans across party lines are reacting, and whether these events represent a broader shift in public opinion on immigration enforcement. Then, we turn to sleep deprivation in America, a widespread but often overlooked public health issue. New polling shows that a majority of adults say they would feel better if they got more sleep, even as long-term trends reveal declining sleep duration and uneven sleep quality across age, gender, income, and education. We examine how sleep shortages shape daily life, health, and well-being—and why so many Americans struggle to get the rest they say they need.We close with a very arty fun fact!

Rite of Passage: A Clear Path Into Manhood register now: https://www.braveco.org/riteofpassageEvery boy needs a moment where he's called out of boyhood and into manhood—where his strength is tested, his faith is forged, and a father's voice calls him forward. That's why we built the BraveCo Ride of Passage: a 30-hour weekend where fathers and sons encounter God together, push limits, and come home changed. This isn't a retreat or a conference—it's a rite of passage. (Jacksonville, Florida • February 28–March 1, 2026)In today's live Q&A, I answer real questions men are facing right now: What do you do when your kids vent to you about their mom and they're carrying pain? How do you validate your child without throwing your spouse under the bus—and how do you “bridge” the conversation on the back end to help the family communicate better? I also talk to the friend who's watching a marriage hit a tipping point when one spouse wants help and the other refuses counseling—and why changing one person's skills and boundaries can start shifting the whole ecosystem. Then I share my personal experience with OCD and intrusive thought loops—what it felt like, what actually helped, and the simple framework that changed my life: recognize, relabel, refocus (and how thankfulness can become a powerful reset). We also hit temptation in marriage (curiosity about a past relationship) and what to do when separation is on the table—plus the most practical next step I've seen work when the stakes are high: get the right guide in your life.Chapters:00:00 Ride of Passage: Calling Boys Into Manhood01:14 Live Q&A: Ask Anything (Anonymous Welcome)01:50 When Kids Vent About Their Mom: What To Do02:25 Validate Emotions Without Dismissing Mom03:16 Don't Throw Your Spouse Under the Bus04:01 Be the Bridge: The Back-End Conversation05:12 Marriage Tipping Point: One Spouse Refuses Help05:42 Why One Person Getting Help Can Shift Everything09:04 How I Overcame OCD Loops: The 3 R's19:31 Curiosity About an Ex + Separation: Next StepsCONNECT WITH BRAVECOJoin Our Free Community for Men (ladies, sign up your man): https://www.braveco.orgFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/braveco.menInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/braveco.men/Shop: https://shop.braveco.org/ ABOUT BRAVECO: We live in a time where men are hunting for the truth and looking for the codebook to manhood. Plus a Stupid Milk Press Conference, America's Role, and Harbaugh to the Giants—Paul Rieckhoff with Connell McShane. What's really happening on the streets of Iran? Is the regime conducting executions or not? Reports say yes. Trump says no. During a crazy press conference at the White House about changing the rules for milk in schools. Will Trump hit Iran again? Will Congress do anything?? What does it mean for America and the world? Rieckhoff explains why the protests feel like a potential tipping point, why organic, grassroots uprisings matter, and why the best move for President Trump may be to avoid military escalation while supporting those risking their lives for freedom. From reports of snipers on rooftops and internet blackouts to questions about executions, regime brutality, and U.S. intelligence, Rieckhoff and retired General Richard Newton dig into the realities on the ground and the risks of miscalculation. They explore how regime change in Tehran could ripple across Russia, North Korea, and beyond—and what true American leadership should look like in 2026. Rieckhoff also calls out Congress's responsibility to reassert its war powers, lays out non-military ways the United States can stand with Iranian protesters, and warns against turning a democratic uprising into a Trump-branded intervention. They examine how shifting U.S. assets, Israeli calculations, and a fraying global coalition reveal that America is no longer automatically trusted to “quarterback” world events—and what independent Americans should demand from their leaders now. Because every episode of Independent Americans with Paul Rieckhoff breaks down the most important news stories--and offers light to contrast the heat of other politics and news shows.
