"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." - Viktor FranklIn that space and choosing our response is where we give things meaning. There are some days like anniversaries that we make mean more than others. There are also experiences from our past that we give more meaning to as well. These experiences are usually heightened by intense emotions we had during the experience and they influence how we view things in our lives going forward. This meaning making is going on all the time either by default or design. In this episode, we go into the mechanics of your "meaning maker". Meaning maker is the term we gave to this process that is going on in your head. We break down how it works and, more importantly, how to take hold of it so you can change limiting beliefs and create beliefs that empower you. This episode is a must listen! The ability to give meaning to meaning is truly a game changer and is key to overcoming limitation and unleashing yourself and living the impossible.Get your own ice bath delivered to your door by Freedom Plunge. Tutuksi television katsojille Heimo Langinvainio tuli valmentajana uraauurtavassa THL:n, Ylen ja Duodecimin terveysvalistusohjelmassa Elämä Pelissä, jota esitettiin useana tuotantokautena vuodesta 2007 alkaen. Viime vuosina hän on kehittänyt työhyvinvoinnin verkkokursseja yhteistyössä Duodecimin kanssa ja toiminut yritysjohdon ja startup-yrittäjien mentorina. "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space, is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." ~Viktor FranklIn today's short episode, I discuss this amazing quote, how it related to a therapy client, and how we can apply it to our daily lives and empower ourselves to control our responses. I also talk about why I believe everyone needs therapy and why it should be accessible to everyone.
Join me every Monday for a quick burst of inspiration on our "Monday Moments" segments. We've had nearly 120 guests on the Live Inspired Podcast. As you know, at the end of the interview, each guest answers the Live Inspired 7 questions, with the first question being: What’s the best book you’ve ever read? As we gear up to celebrate World Book Day, I want to share the most mentioned books by our guests. The Bible has been mentioned by 11 guests including my mentor Brian Buffini from ep. 1 and human rights activist Christine Caine from ep. 82. A Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Franklin has been mentioned by “expectation hangover” expert Christine Hassler from ep. 26 and author Matthew Emerzian from ep. 58. (It's my favorite book, too!) And we have a TIE for the third favorite book! Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach has not only been mentioned by five guests but we had the author Richard Bach on ep. 54! My book ON FIRE has been mentioned by comedian Kathy Buckley from ep. 7, Sergeant Rocky Sickmann from ep. 16 and musician Matt Mattingly from ep. 66.
