Creeps Over Coffee is all about creepy true stories. We cover anything from unsolved murders, serial killers, UFOs, Bigfoot, unexplained phenomenon and mysteries of all sorts. We do not take ourselves, or our topics, too seriously.
Elliot and Lucy dig deep into their vault of old episodes to bring you the alien abduction of Betty and Barney Hill. This story has it all, aliens, medical exams and some questionable content. We hope you enjoy. Oh and don’t mind the horrible audio quality, this is from our early days.
This week on Creeps Over Coffee we discuss shadow people, the mysterious pitch black blobs of darkness that people have been reporting for hundreds of years. Most attribute these events as being a surely medical condition known as sleep paralysis, but we think there may be more going on.
In this episode Elliot and Lucy look into the 2004 disappearance of college student Maura Murray. She crashed her car on a remote mountain road and by the time police arrived on scene just 20 minutes later she was nowhere to be found. Did she want to disappear or was she taken by a stranger? Everyone has their theory. Also just an FYI we played with some different audio software for this episode, it doesn’t sound the best, but you don’t know till you try it!
In 2014, Wisconsin, two twelve year old girls lure their best friend into the woods and stab her nineteen times in an attempt to please and become proxies of the mysterious Slenderman. The two girls, suffering from slender sickness, sought the attention of Slenderman to escape the misery of their middle school years. Today, Lucy and Elliot discuss the stabbing and the legend of Slenderman.
Elliot and Lucy discuss what it was like to be a pirate on the high sees during the Golden Age of Piracy. Spoiler alert: there was no planks, no buried treasure and no showering for months on end. They also take a look at Blackbeard, one of the most notorious pirates in history. His reign was only for two short years, but he made a lasting impression.
Hey friends, this week we bring you the story of the UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1947, a rancher comes across some mysterious wreckage and reports it to the US military. Several days later, the US Army Air Force releases a press statement announcing the discovery of a "flying disk". The story is quickly retracted, and replaced with the story that the rancher misidentified a crashed weather balloon. Is the government to be trusted?
This week on Creeps Over Coffee, Lucy and Elliot discuss the unsolved murder of Jon Benet Ramsey. Basically, we solve it. It was not the brother. Poor guy gets a lot of heat. This episode was recorded for a previous project Lucy and Elliot did, so the audio is a bit rougher than usual. But it's an extra ep this month, so get off my case, jeez.
Elliot and Lucy take an in-depth look at a 1981 unsolved quadruple homicide. Three members of the Sharp family and a friend are brutally murdered, and possibly tortured in the living room of the Sharp’s cabin in Keddie California. All while 3 young boys were left unharmed in an adjacent bedroom. The remote run-down town didn’t provide many suspects. Who was capable of such a violent crime? A friend, an ex-boyfriend, corrupt law enforcement, or a complete stranger?
The Enfield haunting is the tale of a poor family harassed and eventually possessed by what they thought was a poltergeist but turned into a demon. Over thirty creditable witnesses observed the phenomenon and testified to the events. After a year and a half investigation, no other haunting has been more convincing. Also there is some poop. Ghost poop.
In the first episode of Creeps Over Coffee (yay!), Lucy and I detail and discuss the mysterious disappearance of Caylee Anthony. In 2008, Caylee Anthony went missing. Her mother, Casey Anthony, did not report her disappearance to authorities until 31 days after she was last seen. During that time Casey, her mother, carried on about her life as if nothing had changed. She even competed in a "hot body contest", which is I guess what people do in Florida. Her mother was eventually tried for Caylee's murder, but was acquitted.
