Haha, I figured if I made a few caricatures of bad evangelistic methods, then you could identify if you are one or more of these caricatures. But let’s be honest, evangelism is a scary for word for some people. It might be a scary word for you too.     I had the distinct honor of speaking at InterVarsity’s National Asian American Staff Conference in Los Angeles, CA. Asian American InterVarsity Staff from all over the United States gathered together to be trained, refreshed, and challenged. The topic for this conference was, “Unleashing a Prophetic Imagination”. We took about 4-5 days to unpack the book of Ephesians. It was a rich and convicting time in the God’s Word. I was asked to give the opening keynote address on Ephesians 1. Session #013 Click to Listen Main Outline Unleashing a Prophetic Imagination Main Text: Ephesians 1 Talk Outline: The Beauty of Ephesians It is the overture of His symphony of the Ages It is the grand schematic of His Will  It is manifesto of His Kingdom God the Father God, the Father, wants to lavish His Spiritual Blessings on you God , the Father, has a plan for you Do you believe in God's Plan for you? Do you need to get right with the Father? God, the Son God, the Son shows us that incarnation is important in our ministry – whether ethnic-specific or ethnic-general God, the Son displays to us that God’s Plan will cost us, there will be suffering as we join God in His Mission God, the Son reminds us that where there is suffering and death, there is sure to bring resurrection God, the Spirit God, the Spirit wants to come to life on your campus, allow the Spirit of God to set His agenda, not merely ours Strategy does not trump the Spirit, but Strategy comes to life because of the Spirit Let us make the Spirit of God our brand! The Prayer of Paul Open Your Eyes God, the Father has a plan God, the Son has revealed that plan God, the Spirit has sealed this plan – the Kingdom wins! Go forth and unleash a prophetic imagination! Has God’s Word affirmed this decision? When? How? Do you have your parents’ (or equivalent) approval? Are you ready to put character over outward appearance? Do you have a similar (not identical) calling in life? Have you considered the practical aspects of life together? Are you the right spiritual maturity for one another?     This podcast session features the LAST part of my LAST talk in the series, "Being Disciples, Making Disciples". This talk is entitled, "Good News and Transformation". Jesus engages in a provocative conversation with a Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus has taught us three important things as follows: Jesus asks us to follow Him to challenging places Jesus models how ordinary conversation at a well, can become extraordinary if we talk about spiritual things, namely Jesus. Jesus illustrates that the Gospel has the power to cross every boundary, like gender, ethnic, and social boundaries. The rest of this conversation will be intense and revealing!
