This is Dr. Pennington's first podcast in a new series, “Finding Jesus in Exodus”. The discussion centers around the impact of male genocide in the days of the Pharaohs of Egypt and the increasingly large number of absent fathers and male leaders of households in the U.S. today.

The lesson centers around Jacob leaving his Uncle Laban’s household and traveling back home to face his brother Esau. The podcast gives numerous scriptures to support the conclusion that the man Jacob wrestled with was the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ in Genesis 32:22-32.

Jacob had worked for and been mistreated by his Uncle Laban for 20 years. He plans to return home to his father’s land in Canaan. He leaves the house of Laban without notice and is chased down and confronted by his uncle.

The Bible lesson discusses the reason why Jacob had to flee from his father Isaac’s house, the dream he had at Bethel, and his interactions with his Uncle Laban. The discussion also includes his marriage to Rachel and Leah and the birth of his first four sons.

A discussion connecting the spiritual warfare waged against sin in heaven and on earth and the purpose for the birth of Jesus Christ.

In this special Easter season podcast, Dr. Ben Pennington discusses a number of topics that relate to the first Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He discusses why Jesus Christ is the most important person in history, the deity of Christ, the creation of angels and the spiritual war that took place in heaven before the Garden of Eden and the continuation of the unfinished spiritual war in the Garden of Eden that led to the Genesis 3:15 Messianic prophecy. Dr. Pennington also discusses how God’s plan for our redemption came through the genealogical line of descendants involved Adam, Seth, Noah and Abram. The podcast makes an interesting comparison with Satan’s temptation of Eve and Jesus Christ. The podcast ends with a discussion of the trial of Jesus Christ, the crucifixion, the empty tomb , the resurrection, the beginning of the Christian church and the martyrs for Christ.

Genesis 11 begins with the narrative surrounding the Tower of Babel and ends with the accounting of the descendants of Shem. Abram was from the genealogical line of descendants that were declared righteous including Abel, Seth, Enoch, and Noah. There are 10 generations from Noah to Abram. Abram was living during the time the Tower of Babel was being built. Abram lived in Ur of the Chaldees, which is about 210 miles from Babylon. Are there parallels between the life of Noah and the life of Abram? Is Jesus Christ a descendant of Abram? Are there parallels between the life of Nimrod and the life of Abram? Was God’s call of Abram part of His plan to fulfill the Genesis 3:15 prophecy that the seed of the woman would bruise the head of Satan? Why was Abram’s nephew Lot Captured? Was the encounter that Abram had with Melchizedek a Christophany, which an appearance of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament? Dr. Ben Pennington uses as his texts Genesis 9:1, Genesis 10:8-10, and Genesis 11:1-9. He discusses Nimrod, the Tower of Babel, biblical prophecy against Babylon, the Antichrist, and the Day of Pentecost. Dr. Pennington uses bible-based references to answer the following questions concerning the texts: . Did the flood deliver mankind from the curse of Adam and put an end once and for all to sin? What did God command Noah and his sons to do after the flood? Who was Nimrod? Was Nimrod the first king in the bible? Where was the Tower of Babel located? Dr. Ben Pennington uses as his text Genesis 6:9-15, 17-18,and Genesis 7:1-5 concerning Noah and the Flood. The world was corrupt and filled with violence. God saved Noah and his household from destruction because he was a righteous man. Dr. Pennington answers the following questions concerning the text: 1) What is an ark and how is an ark different from a boat? 2) What structure is similar in size to the ark that Noah built? 3) How long did it take Noah to build the ark? 4) Is there a biblical significance to the rains lasting for forty days and forty nights? 5) How long did Noah stay on the ark? 6) Who is Ham and why did Noah curse him? 7) Are there parallels between the life of Noah and the life of Jesus Christ? 8) What did Jesus say about Noah and the flood? 9) Why was Noah called a preacher of righteousness? 10) Will God destroy sinful mankind again by rain and flooding?

Dr. Ben Pennington discusses a series of questions taken from Genesis 6:1-8 regarding who were the sons of God and who were the daughters of men mentioned in the passage. Dr. Ben explains that there was a 400 year Intertestamental Period that spanned from the end of the Book of Malachi until the Gospel of Matthew when God was silent. During this period of time there were no prophets and there was no prophecy from God. Dr. Ben explains that during this period of silence from God the books of the Apocrypha (hidden things) and the Pseudepigraphal (false writing) books were written. None of the books were inspired by God and none of the books are included in our Bible. One of the Pseudepigraphal books, titled The Book of Enoch, which was not written by Enoch, claimed that the sons of God were fallen demonic angels that had sex with the daughters of men and produced a mutant race of Nephilim giants that were part-demon and part human. Dr. Ben states that this pagan superstition does not line up with scripture. In Genesis God made it clear that each species is able to reproduce according to their kind. Angels are spirit beings and are incapable of having sex and reproducing. Only God can produce life, not angels. The resurrected Jesus Christ told his disciples in Luke 24:39 the angels and spirits do not have flesh and blood. The podcast also discusses the long life spans of humans before the flood and concluded that God destroyed the world by flood because of the wickedness of man. The podcast ends with Noah finding favor with God and being spared, along with his family, from the flood and destruction.

Genesis 4:2-6 says, Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a tiller of the ground. In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel for his part brought of the firstlings of his flock, their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is lurking at the door; its desire is for you, but you must master it.” Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let us go out to the field.” And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel, and killed him. Dr. Ben Pennington discusses this passage of scripture and asks several questions: 1) Why did God accept Abel’s offering? 2) Why did God reject Cain’s offering? 3) What was the Old Testament principle of giving to God? 4) Is giving to God also a New Testament principle? 5) Is God a respecter of persons? 6) Does God show favoritism? 7) How did Cain’s anger result in Abel’s murder? 8) What does being our brother’s keeper mean?
