I feel so blessed and honored to have my best friend, Jazmin, be the first guest I welcome on my podcast. This episode is titled “Healing With Others: My Healing Journey with Sobriety and Relationship Building by Jazmin G.” In this episode, Jazmin takes us on a journey. She grew up in La Puente, CA to immigrant parents who did the best with what they knew. She was a child that felt she was missing guidance in her life and tried to find it in other places. This led to her searching for it in things like: sex, drugs, and self-harm. Jazmin is a single mother to a teenager and she talks about her journey of being a mom at such a young age. Understanding herself a bit more, day by day, Jazmin found that she has an addictive personality and decided to want to learn how to live with her addiction to alcohol, sex, and drugs. Regardless of her struggles, that hasn't stopped her from building a life better than what she ever thought she could have for her and her son. I've listened to this episode multiple times, and I see parts of Jazmin's story in many of the women in my life. I am so proud of my friend for the strength to overcome any obstacles in her life and her courage to make choices that align with the enormous heart she has.
