Husker Huddle

Huskers are in a regional! Although, we got SCREWED with our seeding! This week, Lance and I discuss the success of Husker baseball and if there is ANY way we are able to come out of the Arkansas regional.  Also, Jacquez Yant received a scholarship and Delano Banton declared for the NBA draft.  Will we see him back in a Husker uniform?

This week Lance and I break down what we liked and disliked about the Red/White Spring game.  Also, the Huskers finalized their 2021 schedule with some changes AND we had some formers Huskers drafted and signing free agent deals.  We will discuss who we think has the brightest future in the NFL!

Nebraska Sports are the BEST at the offseason! This week, Lance and Derek discuss Nebrasketball's new coaching addition, Tim Miles getting a new gig, a top 15! recruiting class for basketball, baseball in 1st place and receiving votes in the Big Ten, AND some spring football. What a great time of year!

March Madness is here! Lance and I discuss our brackets this week and see where the big surprises are coming this year! Also, we discuss the PR nightmare of Nebraska trying to dodge the OU game...what a joke! 

Lance and I are BACK after a week hiatus! We will be moving to a bi-weekly schedule over the next month. This week I have the painful discussion of the current state of Husker football, basketball, and baseball. What has caused the long period of suckage? What program will have notable success first? Also, the St. Louis Battlehawks played their first home game at the Dome! What an ELECTRIC crowd. I breakdown the game and give my prediction for week 4! And Finally, there is already a player in the XFL that had college eligibility left. I discuss Kenny Robinson's situation and what is means for NCAA/XFL.

This week we get to talk BASEBALL! Will Bolt and the Huskers took on Baylor last weekend and I will give you my full breakdown of how our Huskers performed and what my thoughts are for the season! We will also dive into more of the XFL! St Louis Battlehawks will be my primary point of focus this season as DPE and Brandon Reilly are on their roster. This last weekend saw XFL referees change the course of a game! I will dissect that blown NO-call. And the Football team was ranked 22nd in the ESPN FPI rankings. I debate where that stands in my completely (not at all) logical fandom test.

On this week's episode, I breakdown the ups, downs, and in-betweens of XFL week 1, potential future competition for players between the XFL and NCAA, and try to wade through the mess that is Nebraska basketball. Fred Hoiberg will get this turned around...but when? I will give you my reasons for optimism heading into next basketball season.

This week Husker Huddle takes a look at more of a national perspective. I discuss the previous week of Nebrasketball, preview and predict the score of Super Bowl 54 between the Chiefs and 49ers, and pay our respects to one of the greatest basketball players of all time in Kobe Bryant. I give my 3 top moments of his legendary career and get a little "deep", as well. RIP Mamba

This week, we are able to FINALLY put to bed most of the coaching carousel rumors. Matt Lubick was officially named the OC/WR coach for Nebraska. I will give my take on that announcement. I will also discuss the comparison between Patrick Mahomes and Adrian Martinez. Where does Martinez need to improve to get on that level? And last, but not least, Nebrasketball! I will discuss recent and upcoming games and let you know why this season is NOT lost.

It is a sad day as college football is officially over for the year. On this week's episode I recap the National Championship between LSU and Clemson, make the comparison between 2019 LSU and 1995 Nebraska (it is closer than you might think), discuss the rollercoaster Nebrasketball season, and discuss the rumor mill in regards to coaching changes.
