For the second straight season, the Michigan Wolverines listened to a full season of doubters only to prove them wrong at the end of the day. Michigan took it to the Ohio State Buckeyes for the second straight season, and Nate Dickinson gives an apology to all the fans who had to listen to the hate all season on Locked On Big 10. The Ohio State team came in as the favorites and the higher-ranked team on their home field, but Michigan took a three-touchdown win out of Columbus and the Big Ten East as well. Now, Ohio State waits to see what happens around the country and Michigan gets ready for a Big Ten Championship Game against Purdue. Nate goes over everything from The Game on Locked On Big 10. Later, Nate takes a look at the newest Big Ten coaches in the conference. Nebraska paid for Matt Rhule fresh off a failed stint in the NFL, while the Wisconsin Badgers surprised us all by hiring former Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell. After the moves from over the weekend, Nate looks at the future of the Big Ten West with some new faces around the region. The Buckeyes have waited four years, four long years, to host the Wolverines and they'll get to do so with a lot on the line. No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Michigan decides who wins the Big Ten East and goes to Indianapolis for the championship. There are plenty of playoff implications as well. With all of that on the minds of everyone inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, recruiting is also largely in focus. That's where Lettermen Row staffers Matt Parker and Spencer Holbrook start off in the latest episode of the Lettermen Lounge. It's been quite the last week for Ohio State coach Ryan Day and his staff. The Buckeyes have suffered two decommitments in their 2023 class: four-star quarterback Brock Glenn and four-star running back Mark Fletcher. Ohio State, however, also had 2024 four-star linebacker Garrett Stover send his pledge the Buckeyes' way. #OhioStateFootball #OhioState #CFBNews Subscribe for more Ohio State Football coverage: https://www.youtube.com/c/Lettermenrow?sub_confirmation=1 Ohio State Buckeyes videos from Columbus, Ohio from the staff of Lettermen Row. Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land's I-70 podcast. On this show, we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference's games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. October is full of horror as new scary movies drop, and old favorites end up on streaming services as many of us are searching for a good scare. I watched Halloween Ends, the final film in the Michael Myers series, this weekend and it was not even close to the scariest thing I've seen. That honor belongs to this week's Big Ten schedule as every game ended with a two-score deficit many of them larger than three. The horror doesn't end there, this weekend was full of blowouts, and next weekend's schedule doesn't have a single interesting game or a game with stakes.  The closest game of the weekend was Ohio State vs. Penn State as James Franklin's team continued their streak of playing OSU tough. Penn State was winning most of the game finding ways to slow down the Buckeye offense and held a 21-16 lead with nine minutes left in the game. At that moment it was over as Ohio State flipped the switch and scored 28 fourth-quarter points including a touchdown after a sack-fumble and a pick-six, both by Ohio State defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau. Michigan steamrolled in-state rival Michigan State as the Spartans didnt show fight until after the game when they jumped a Michigan player in the tunnel.  The scariest thing of the year will happen the weekend after Halloween as Northwestern has to spend 60 minutes on the same field as Ohio State. After playing Iowa and allowing them to score 33 points, without a defensive touchdown, Northwestern may want to forfeit this game and cite player safety. The Buckeyes will go into this game looking to fix some issues before they face Michigan with the Big Ten East division title and a spot in the playoffs on the line. This game should come with an R rating, cover your eyes, and don't let your kids watch there will be a lot of blood and gore.  In their weekly pit stops, Jordan laughs at Anthony Davis after his horrid start to the season. In the off-season, AD bragged about not touching a basketball and it's clear he didn't as he struggles early on. Dante thinks that Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson are overrated and should retire as father time is catching up to them.  Connect with us on Twitter: Jordan: @JordanW330 Dante: @DanteM10216 Learn more about your ad choices. Penn State football takes on Ohio State Saturday at Beaver Stadium. To get fans ready for the full experience this weekend, recruiting insider Ryan Snyder joins host Thomas Frank Carr to discuss the important recruiting elements of the weekend against Penn State's top home opponent. They'll also review the reverberating impact of the White Out game and get to Snyder's Best Bets later in the show. Finally, they'll wrap up the show discussing the on-field matchups that will determine the game between the two Big Ten East powerhouses. Subscribe to the BWI Daily Edition on YouTube so you don't miss the show! bit.ly/3KzEcqK Snyder and T-Frank start the show with some good Penn State news. Snyder placed an RPM pick for Penn State on Friday and he discusses his reasons with T-Frank for why he made the move. If Snyder is right, it's a great addition for Penn State in the Class of 2024 and might signal an increased relationship with a quality high school program in the region.  Next, T-Frank and Snyder recap the news of the week in Penn State recruiting. Snyder caught up with several prospects that attended the White Out game last Saturday and he shares some of the reaction he got from players and coaches. They discuss defensive end Joseph Mupoyi, linebacker Anthony Speca and Florida receiver Chance Robinson. Snyder has plenty of positive news surrounding Speca and the relationship with St. Thomas Aquinas.  They round out the recruiting discussion with a preview of the players attending Penn State's matchup with Ohio State on Saturday. Snyder explains why Kyle Altuner is an important player to pay attention to, then updates viewers on the situation with four-star Pittsburgh athlete Quinton Martin. Also, there is a special contingent of players coming from California this weekend, which Snyder details during the show.  Finally, they get to Ryan Snyder's Best Bets of the week. Here are the official plays, but Snyder adds more during the show to sweeten the pot.  Arizona State (-12) at Colorado Notre Dame (+3) vs. Syracuse Missouri (+4) at South Carolina Ohio State (-14.5) at Penn State As always, the game of the week is Penn State vs. Ohio State. Snyder admits that he's struggled with his Penn State picks this year so he and T-Frank discuss the game before he makes his official pick. Tune in to hear what T-Frank thinks of Penn State's chances on both sides of the ball and where he thinks the game will pivot on Saturday. Learn more about your ad choices. When it comes to the Nittany Lions, Michigan fans have a lot of questions. How good and how effective can Sean Clifford be against U-M's defense? Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land's I-70 podcast. On this show, we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference's games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. On Saturday former Wisconsin head football coach and athletic director Barry Alvarez sat in the stands to watch his two proteges face off against each other. Former Wisconsin head coach and current Illinois head coach Bret Bielema and current head coach Paul Chryst faced off in a battle of the Alvarez system with Bielema and the Fighting Illini coming out on top by out Wisconsin-ing Wisconsin.  Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio State secure wins and look to be the top three programs in the Big Ten East as Michigan State had taken a significant step back and Penn State struggled to put away a terrible Northwestern team. Aidan O'Connell returned from injury to lead Purdue past Minnesota in an ugly game from start to finish. After week five the West Division has six teams tied for first place with a 1-1 conference record.  In week six, Illinois looks to secure its place as the best team in the Big Ten West with a win over Iowa. They have a tough stretch with Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota in three straight weeks but two wins out of three will set them up for the stretch run towards an Illbuck championship game. Maryland looks to secure its best season under Mike Locksley with a win over Purdue. There's a chance that Maryland reaches bowl eligibility with a month left in the season.  In their weekly pitstop, the guys celebrate Kent State breaking Georgia. After allowing 22 points to the Golden Flashes, the Bulldogs were down double digits to Missouri for over 50 minutes of a 60-minute game. If Georgia doesn't win the championship be sure to thank Kent State.  Connect with us on Twitter: Jordan: @JordanW330 Dante: @DanteM10216 Learn more about your ad choices. The guys also get into a conversation about Rutgers' identity on both sides of the balle. They also get into the history of Greg Schiano at Rutgers, and how the matchup is a nightmare for Rutgers even past the talent. As the show moves forward, the guys take the match up this weekend as an opportunity to get some College Football playoff thoughts off their chest. They talk about how the Big 12 is probably eliminated. Then they get into a debate about which conferences have the best chances to have playoff representation. The Ohio State Buckeyes who took the field against the Toledo Rockets is the one we've been expecting. Offensively and defensively, the Buckeyes showed up and, for the most part, dominated. There were a couple of defensive hiccups but nothing consistent as Ohio State continues to adjust to a new coordinator on that side of the ball. We break down the key plays and players from the Buckeyes' 77-21 thumping of a Toledo team that is expected to challenge for the Mid-American Conference title. We compare our score predictions to actual events and see whether are picks to click actually...err, clicked. To prepare us for this Saturday's Big Ten opener against the Badgers, we welcomed Rohan Chakravarthi from SBNation's Wisconsin blog, Bucky's 5th Quarter. Rohan got us up to speed on what's different about this year's Badgers, how that vaunted Wisconsin defense is going to deal with Ohio State's offense, the maturation of quarterback Graham Mertz, and where the team is strongest and weakest. Big thanks to Rohan for jumping on with us to talk some B1G football. We took our usual stroll through the rest of the Big Ten scores from Saturday, which featured some surprises — both good and bad — for the conference. If not for Sparty's most recent road trip, the entire Big Ten East would be unbeaten. That's right, even Rutgers and Indiana have managed to avoid defeat thus far. Meanwhile, there are several tire fires ablaze in the West, including what is looking like an exceedingly long season in Lincoln. We turned our attention back to Wisconsin for the final segment, looking at what Ohio State has to do either with or without TreVeyon Henderson on Saturday. Winning first down is going to be a big key, particularly when the Buckeyes are on defense. We're expecting one of those annoyingly close games at least until halftime and then we'll see which team adjusts and has the better second half. We'll be back next week to analyze the Wisconsin game, check on our picks and predictions, and get ready for Rutgers. This is impossible, because one can never truly be ready for Rutgers, but we'll try. In the meantime, feel free to reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or send us an email. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Holy Land's I-70 podcast. On this show we talk all things Big Ten football and basketball. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference's games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. Three weeks into the season and the Big Ten East has been dominant with a combined record of 20-1 the East division has avoided the upset bug that has plagued college football so far. The same cannot be said for the West division who is a combined 12-10 and suffers an upset weekly, with Northwestern being upset by Southern Illinois. In this episode of the I-70 football show, the guys get into what is going on with the West division, surprise surprise from a league filled with bad coaches.  In their week three recap the guys discuss Ohio State's dismantling of Toledo to the tune of 11 touchdowns in 13 total possessions. As we often discuss the Big Ten West is full of bad coaches or coaches making bad decisions and that was the case in Purdue's loss to Syracuse, a game they should have won if not for a foolish decision to run cover zero up four with 12 seconds left. Syracuse subsequently scored a game-winning touchdown in a game that was Purdue's to win. Indiana, as every Big Ten program should, found a way to win against an inferior opponent in a thrilling overtime win over Western Kentucky. Indiana is 3-0 and hoping to carry momentum into the Big Ten slate. Lastly, the guys recap Penn State's blowout of Auburn. It is time to put to rest the discussion that the dregs of the SEC are better than teams in every other conference.  We're officially a quarter of the way through the season which means we are starting to understand who teams are and what their ceiling is. One team we have not figured out is Michigan but that should change after a game against Maryland. Maryland arguably has the second-best quarterback and wide receiver corp in the Big Ten and will challenge Michigan's starless defense. Ohio State plays Wisconsin in a game that isn't expected to be close after Wisconsin's loss to Washington State. Minnesota looks to exert its dominance and gain respect with a win over Michigan State. It is a shame that they are still not ranked.  In their weekly pit stops, Jordan questions the thing that is college kickers. At this point why do they exist and why are they so bad at their jobs? Dante, despite saying he wouldn't multiple times, bought 2K and is enjoying it. Connect with us on Twitter: Jordan: @JordanW330 Dante: @DanteM10216 Learn more about your ad choices. It has finally happened, the Scott Frost era is over and we are all victors. The first of many names on Jordan's list of fireable coaches has been crossed off the list after Nebraska suffered a 45-42 loss to Georgia Southern. A Georgia Southern team led by Clay Helton, who was last year's, Scott Frost. It is a fitting end to a miserable coaching tenure that saw Frost go 16-31 in four-plus years. The guys get into Nebraska's firing of Frost and who should be next on the list. We're looking at you, Kirk Ferentz. Next up the guys review a weekend in which the Big Ten West had a miserable showing as four of the season teams lost all of which could be considered upsets. Wisconsin continues the trend of losing games where Braelon Allen doesn't run for 100 yards losing 17-14 to Washington State. Iowa's offense again failed to show up as Spencer Petras continued his streak of games without throwing a passing touchdown. Without the defense providing some scoring the Hawkeyes lost 10-7 to their in-state rival Iowa State. This makes the first time in six years under Matt Campbell that Iowa State has beaten Iowa. After a week off Northwestern lost to Duke which is not surprising and should serve as the second to last nail in Scott Frost's coffin. After a weekend like this it's time for Kevin Warren to announce the end of divisions effective for the 2024 season. With the false confidence allowed by being competitive in a weak West division many of these programs will never get better until they start catching annual beatings at the hands of "lesser" Big Ten East teams. After a brief stint of complaining about the AP top 25 which once again fails to capture a realistic picture of the good teams in college football, the guys begin their preview of week three. There are some sneaky good games as Penn State faces Purdue, Michigan State plays Washington and Nebraska goes to Lincoln to face the Oklahoma Sooners. In their weekly pit stops, Jordan is tired of the NFL already as the Colts found a way to tie against their much worse division foe in the Houston Texans. Dante celebrates the Steeler's win over the Bengals but acknowledges the season may be over due to injuries to TJ Watt and Najee Harris Connect with us on Twitter: Jordan: @JordanW330 Dante: @DanteM10216 Learn more about your ad choices.
