It was another low scoring first half with Nebraska leading, 7-6----then Kenneth Williams returned the opening kickoff of the 2nd half for a TD---another TD made it 21-6…but Northwestern somehow got this game tied at 21-all Then, a terrible INT by Dylan Raiola…a big INT by Javin Wright…and a long drive with 4 3rd down conversions helped the Huskers to a much-needed 28-21 win and a guaranteed bowl game. This week on the Five Heart Podcast, Greg and Minnie look back at Nebraska's first Big Ten Conference win of the season, last Saturday's 38-27 win against Michigan State. There was good, there was bad, and to cap off the reference to one of the top westerns of all time, there was ugly. But this Nebraska team is different. There will be a bit of a player focus as the pair spend some time talking about wide receiver Dane Key. While it may not look like the former Kentucky Wildcat has been incredibly productive, stats as well as teammate and coach testimonials tell a different tale. Minnie will share her knowledge of the Maryland Terrapins with the Holgormaniacs and we'll collect predictions for this Saturday's game.

On this episode of Monday Night Therapy, Minnie and Fred reflect on Nebraska's close but frustrating loss to Michigan. They joke about the “rite of passage” of attending a home game defeat, yet emphasize there were positives. Minnie insists Nebraska is “dangerous” despite negativity from fans, praising Dylan Raiola's talent and leadership. Still, the offensive line's struggles dominate discussion, with seven sacks allowed, ongoing injuries, and questions about coaching and recruiting misses. Fred highlights how repeated false starts and unprepared tackles signal deeper staff issues. The hosts note that while the defensive line lacks past power, creative schemes could mitigate weaknesses. They criticize slow-developing offensive plays that leave Raiola vulnerable, calling for quicker passes, screens, and perhaps a more air-raid approach. NIL challenges and limited depth at running back also surface, illustrating how Nebraska lags in the new era of player compensation. Beyond Xs and Os, they recap a rainy fan meetup, praise Jacory Barney's Hail Mary touchdown, and vent about inconsistent officiating. Discussion widens to Big Ten rivals, Indiana's surprising dominance over Illinois, and broader concerns about coaching resources. The show closes with optimism that Nebraska can regroup during the bye week and compete strongly against Michigan State.

This week on the Five Heart Podcast, the team discusses last week's season-opening victory over Cincinnati. While the Bearcats made the game more interesting than Husker fans would have preferred, over 70,000 Nebraska fans went home happy after the final whistle blew on Nebraska's 20-17 win. The Huskers dominated the time of possession and the defense did a good job of shutting down the Cincy offense outside of some quarterback runs from Brendan "The Model" Sorsby. Dylan Raiola completed 78.5% of his passes along with two touchdowns to two Husker newcomers, Nyziah Hunter and Dane Key. Emmett Johnson rolled for over 100 rushing yards, and the defense forced two turnovers. Meanwhile, we got punts away and two field goals including a career best 52-yarder from Kyle Cunanan. Are improvements needed? Yes. But let's not pretend that we lost and the world is coming to an end. Go Big Red. Always.

This episode of Monday Night Therapy opens with Minnie Hunt officially announcing Fred Sacco as her co-host. With just ten days left before Nebraska's season opener against Cincinnati at Arrowhead Stadium, the hosts describe the wait as feeling like the last week of school. Fall camp is finished, and recent press conferences from coaches and players have generated optimism. The conversation shifts to Dylan Raiola's leadership, his polished demeanor in interviews, and excitement about his younger brother's high school success. Fans debate Nebraska's defensive depth, particularly on the line and in the secondary, while praising techniques like the “club and rip” move. The hosts highlight new and emerging players such as Dasan McCullough, Jameer Khan, and Jordan Ochoa, while stressing academics as a foundation beyond football. They discuss tackling fundamentals, Big Ten officiating, and the challenges of targeting rules. There's also lighthearted banter about uniforms, wigs, and fan traditions, including black alternate jerseys and Australian punter Archie Wilson's family visiting from abroad. Looking ahead, Minnie predicts Nebraska will score in the 40s against Cincinnati, while Fred remains cautious but optimistic. The show closes with excitement for game day, reminders about upcoming prediction shows, and the familiar rallying cry: Go Big Red!
