We've reached Nebraska's final bye week with quite a buzz around freshman QB TJ Lateef's performance vs. UCLA…looking back at that game, what stood out most to you from Lateef? Matt Rhule is making a push for Emmett Johnson to be in Heisman Trophy consideration…he probably won't get that, but can he beat out Jeremiyah Love for the Doak Walker Award or first-team All-American? What seems like the most likely bowl game for Nebraska at this point? Is there one you personally prefer of the options? It's bye-week time, so we'll talk about T.J.'s first start. We'll talk about the offensive line's resurgence - no, stop it, yes they are. We'll talk about John Butler's Blackshirts. The Special Teams. The receivers turning into a hunting unit. And Emmett Johnson. Yes, all it took was a record-breaking game on an episode of Big Ten After Dark in Los Angeles, but people are noticing now. In under a year, he's gone from backup to “Is he going to declare early?” We'll talk about it all and you will join in, because your comments aren't just requested - on the best nights, they'll run the show. Purdidn't.The Ohio State Buckeyes dispatched the Purdue Boilermakers with one starting wideout and one starting offensive tackle tied behind their backs, winning 34-10 on the road in West Lafayette, Indiana. Ohio State luckily avoided some of the nasty weather we saw in other games around the Big Ten on Saturday, but it wasn't one of the prettier games we've seen in the Ryan Day era. Then again, that can happen at Purdue. We looked back at the Buckeyes' road win, discussed the key players, moments, and plays, and checked back on our picks to click and our final score predictions. After dissecting Ohio State's win over the Boilermakers, we took a quick spin around the rest of the B1G to see how other teams fared. Indiana looked to be in trouble against Penn State on the road, but the Nittany Lions stayed true to their nature and found a way to lose a close game against a top 10 team. We saw a few familiar things from Jim Knowles' defense on the decisive drive. Elsewhere, Nebraska's new quarterback had himself a nice game on the road as the Huskers beat UCLA out west. Oregon struggled in Iowa, but the Ducks pulled out a late win, with an untimely fumble by the Hawkeyes helping the visitors avoid a Kinnick Stadium upset. Rutgers got a vital win in a bid for bowl eligibility but the Scarlet Knights will still have a tough road to get to six wins. And, what do you know? Wisconsin won in conference play. We also looked ahead to the matchups coming up this weekend. The Badgers will probably not win two in a row when they visit Bloomington. Probably. Meanwhile, Iowa will have a tough time bouncing back when they visit USC. There are some fun matchups coming up in Week 12. Finally, we previewed Ohio State's home game against UCLA. The Bruins' quarterback has played a night game at Ohio Stadium within the past year, and this trip to Columbus doesn't seem likely to yield a much better result. A raucous Horseshoe crowd, the nation's most efficient quarterback, and a bad Bruin defense don't seem to make for a good combination. We break down the matchup and provide our picks to click on Saturday on both sides of the ball and make our score predictions. We would love to hear from you, so please reach out with your feedback and questions below in the comments section or send us an email at silverbulletspod@gmail.com. Any questions directed toward us will be answered on our next show.Be sure to subscribe, rate, review, share, and follow the show over on Twitter at @SilvrBulletsPod.As always, thanks for listening! 0:20 - An easy but boring day in West Lafayette. 26:05 - A look around the B1G. Minnie and Fred's latest Monday Night Therapy episode was lighthearted and celebratory after Nebraska's 28–21 win over UCLA. They began joking about Willie the dog, wine at the Rose Bowl, and the high drink prices, before turning to football talk. Minnie described the strong Husker crowd and UCLA's lackluster fans. The hosts praised quarterback TJ Lateef's poised debut—no sacks, no interceptions, and only two incompletions—while also commending Emmett Johnson's consistency and improvement, culminating in his Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor. They credited Matt Rhule's game plan, which simplified the offense and boosted tempo, giving the offensive line a rare “A” performance. Fred and Minnie debated how this new success compares to Dylan Raiola's struggles, ultimately agreeing that Raiola remains an important leader and recruiter for the program. The conversation shifted to Nebraska's development culture, NIL realities, and upcoming challenges against Penn State, which they expect to be a much tougher test. They closed with humor about fan traditions, beer sales, and the resilience of Husker Nation. The show's tone mixed celebration, caution, and camaraderie, capturing both the optimism and realism of Nebraska's fan base.

For the QB, Saturday night was a win for the Huskers.
The Huskers won a Big Ten road game!
Austin, Dak, and Hunter recap the Huskers 28-21 win over UCLA.
This week on Corn Nation Overreaction, Greg, Hoss, and Jake discuss Nebraska's win over the UCLA Bruins at one of the most hallowed stadiums in all of college football, the Rose Bowl. The Huskers led bell to bell and, get this, actually scored a touchdown in the third quarter. It would prove to be the game-winning score as the hard-charging Bruins kept the pressure on late. But a defensive stop allowed true freshman TJ Lateef to finish the game in football's most coveted formation, the Victory Formation. Emmett Johnson had a game like few others, and apparently like no Husker running back ever. The fourth-year player became the first Husker to run for over 100 yards and have over 100 yards receiving. He even struck "the pose" after one of his three touchdowns. The Huskers are 7-3 headed into the bye week. It's a great time to be alive! Go Big Red!

Travis Justice and Dr. Rob Zatechka are back in the basement; beers cracked, mics hot, and takes even hotter after Nebraska's 28–21 win over UCLA. Travis plants a flag: TJ Lateef is the better fit for Dana Holgerson's offense than Dylan Raiola. Rob parses the nuance: different QBs, different slices of the playbook—but against UCLA, Lateef looked composed and decisive, starting 11-for-11 and finishing 13-of-15 for 205 yards and 3 TDs, plus the legs to punish a defense (31 rushing yards) when the second read wasn't there. Clean sheet, too: no turnovers, minimal penalties, and the offense stayed on schedule. The spotlight swings to Emmett Johnson, who just made himself some money: 28 carries for 129 and 103 receiving—the first Husker RB ever to hit 100/100 in a single game. The NFL loves backs who can block and catch; does Johnson jump now, chase NIL for one more season, or both? The portal/NIL realities get the full Doc Talk treatment, including how backup market value changes overnight and why some players know their next stop before they even hit the portal. Defense? The numbers say “solid,” the eyes say “still leaky.” UCLA went 8-for-14 on third down and hit a couple of chunky scrambles when the contain broke. The pass rush flashed, but Rob wants a few more of those get-off-the-field moments—turn two or three conversions into stops, and the whole night feels different. Beyond football, the guys hit Husker Wrestling—packed house vibes, Mark Manning's machine, and the AJ Ferrari showmanship question (Cal State Bakersfield version, please). Amie Just, columnist from the Lincoln Journal Star, hops on the phone live from Los Angeles to talk NU-UCLA, and whether it would benefit Husker volleyball to lose a set or match before the postseason. On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") and intern India Otto are back in studio previewing an important Fright night home contest against Northwestern. Lead by head coach David Braun, the upstart Wildcats are 5-3 (3-2 in Big Ten play) and had one four-straight games before falling in a close one to Nebraska. The Trojans are coming off a late night win in Lincoln and have a short week to prepare for Northwestern, a program travelling a couple thousand miles to Los Angeles but is also fully rested after a bye week. USC leads the series 5-0 with the last meeting being the 1995 Rose Bowl, a game the Trojans won 41-32. The crew takes a look at some of the key matchups in the game and talk about some of the similarities between the Wildcats and the Cornhuskers. Northwestern has a very effective run game like Nebraska, and both programs excel in pass defense. We saw what the Huskers were able to do to Jayden Maiava, but will the Wildcats be able to do something similar? They also discuss some of the rumors circling around head coach Lincoln Riley regarding the ever turning college football coaching carousel, what it means for the USC/Notre Dame series with the Irish scheduling a home and home with Auburn and the Trojans No. 19 ranking in the college football playoff rankings. Nebraska senior defensive back Ceyair Wright returns home this Saturday, when Husker football visits the UCLA Bruins. Wright has experienced a long journey, from L.A. football standout and actor to one of the most outspoken leaders for the Cornhuskers.
Jack, John, Kevin and Nate preview the UCLA/Nebraska game. We break down the Huskers offense now that TJ Lateef is at the controls. And can Nebraska stop Nico Iamaleava? We break it all down and share our picks for the weekend of college football!
This week on the Five Heart Podcast, Greg and Minnie will recap the game last week against USC. Emmett Johnson's brilliant performance and the epic appearance of the Blackout were overshadowed by Dylan Raiola's season-ending injury and the offensive collapse that came with it. The Husker offense was rendered ineffectual in the second half, mustering just three points after the break. Freshman TJ Lateef struggled at times, but should settle into his new role now that he has a full week of preparation. In fact, Lateef's mobility could prove a useful wrinkle for defenses who have sold out to stop the run. TJ has a strong arm, but he needs to be unleashed. That means that Dana Holgorsen also needs to be unleashed. Let's see how Nebraska responds when they go to the Rose Bowl to face the Bruins. UCLA is 3-5 but has put some interesting notches in the win column. It's time to finish the season strong! Go Big Red!

In this episode of the Podcast of Champions hosts Ryan Abraham and David Woods talk about week ten in the Big Ten that included No. 1 Ohio State tearing the heart out of Penn State, leaving the Nittany Lions winless in conference play heading into November. The No. 19 ranked Trojans didn't play a clean game, but it was clean enough to take down Nebraska in Lincoln. The Huskers not only lost the game, but lost starting quarterback Dylan Raiola for the remainder of the season. Curt Cignetti continues his killing spree, obliterating Maryland before Indiana's debut at No. 2 in the first College Football Playoff rankings. Looking ahead to week 11, the guys preview and pick against the spread for all of the Big Ten games including the marquee game of the weekend with No. 9 Oregon at No. 20 Iowa. The guys also discuss those initial CFP rankings and discuss UCLA suing the Rose Bowl trying to get out of its contract to play there. On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") and intern Riley Sager are back in studio recapping Saturday night's USC's 21-17 comeback "Blackout" victory over Nebraska in Lincoln. It was not the cleanest game for Lincoln Riley and the Trojans, but it was an important result that was desperately needed. Now at 6-2 and 4-1 in Big Ten play, No. 20 USC's hopes of reaching the College Football Playoffs are still alive with three home games and one road trip to Eugene left on the schedule. The crew gives their thoughts on some of the key storylines from the game, including an amazing performance by walk-on running back King Miller. Making just his second start, Miller ran for 129 yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts and was the main weapon for the Trojans offense with Jayden Maiava having an off night. The defense stepped up and made plays after Nebraska's opening drive touchdown, forcing a sack/fumble that knocked Dylan Raiola out of the game and coming up big in the second half, only allowing a single field goal to the Huskers. Kicker Ryon Sayeri was also one of the stars of the evening, hitting both of his field goals including one that was just shy of 50 yards. The steady redshirt freshman from Chaminade High School has converted on 14 of his 15 field goal attempts and has been an absolute weapon for USC this season That was the Trojans second Big Ten plane ride road trip victory of the season and Riley and company have a quick turnaround, facing the 5-3 (3-2 B1G) Northwestern Wildcats Friday night in the Coliseum coming off of their bye week.
