Nebrasketball won last night but did they look good doing it?
Robin joins The Grum to talk a little Nebrasketball!
Nebraska hires a Women's Flag Football coach, and we ask who is more valuable to Nebrasketball this season...Sam Hoiberg or Rienk Mast?
Sip shares his trip to Milwaukee with us, his affinity for this year's Nebrasketball team, what questions he has for Nebraska Football in Spring Ball, and how the team can improve on the field and compete with the big boys.
Matt recaps last night's double digit win for Nebrasketball against Maryland. Is he worried about the slow starts as of late?
Nebraska had the home fans nervous through 75% of the game against Maryland, and then their early-season offense showed up, as Rienk Mast reverted to something much closer to his early season form and the Huskers end up winning comfortable again as a big favorite. Jack and Kaleb convene after the game to try and not use hindsight in describing just now nervous they were, and take a look at what seemed to holding the Huskers' offense back during the first half (besides just missing shots). On the other hand, Jack explains why his takeaway from the game won't be the first 75% of the game, but instead, the last ten minutes where the Nebraska offense came alive, and the surprise player he thinks was the key to the suddenly alive offense. The guys disagree on the Ryan Anderson Memorial (he's not dead) Player of the Game and break down the horse race Nebraska will have with Purdue and Illinois, not only for conference tourney placement, but in sorting out #7-11 in the current committee rankings. And finally, before Nebraska takes on USC, the guys talk about a weirdly exciting Thursday and Friday night of Big Ten basketball coming up in the 48 hours after the show, and an up-to-the minute look at the current Big Ten Conference Tournament bracket!Support the I-80 Club Road Show by buying a hoodie here. Nebraska needed a bit of a stress-free laugher and got it….and Sam Hoiberg was also incredible with a double-double-Leo Curtis saw action coming back from a sprained ankle, but Jamarques Lawrence suffered an ankle injury late in the game, with no update onstatus yet…..Berke Buyuktencel also didn't play with the flu, but Braden Frager played very well in his first start of the yearOur Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

What a change of pace for the Nebrasketball Hour crew, as Jack traded in despair tinged with rage lingering from the Iowa loss for a “wildly pleasant afternoon” as Nebraska cruised past Penn State 87-64.First, the latest on the injury to J-Law and Berke's situation. Then, with Pryce Sandfort tying the school's single game three-point shooting record and going for 33, the guys ask, "is he back" or more accurately "was he ever gone?" Perhaps the former question is better applied to Braden Frager, and Kaleb and Jack both lay out what they saw tonight that indicate perhaps he's gotten over some of the lingering effects of his ankle injury.Plus, some more important questions:At what point in the second half did Penn State have it up to here with Same Hoiberg "trying" so much?Did we just figure out exactly the way Jared Garcia should be used? Why Rienk Mast still just seems... different? What about the Committee's top 16 was annoying Jack today. Why the risk of Nebraska being "caught from behind" in the tourney pecking order may be less than you think. Finally, your chance to join the Road Crew to support the guys' NCAA Road Show, wherever the Huskers are sent for Round 1, AND get some exclusive gear to wear proudly around town. Apparently, we're hitting Connor's question before Schaefer's long awaited Creighton question. Connor and Mike look ahead the rest of the Nebraska basketball season.
-Nebraska has never been an elite rebounding team, but it wasn't questioned a lot with how they won their first 20 games ofthe year. Now, we continue to wonder about rebounding issues over the past 6 games and what can be fixed-Are we seeing a team not working as hard as it did when things were easier in the winning? Too many times the smallest guyon the court---Sam Hoiberg—is the only one diving for loose balls and somehow leading the team in rebounding. -Nebraska heads to Iowa tonight to play Iowa at 8pm…a place that Fred Hoiberg has had some success with some previous teams…canthe Huskers hand the Hawkeyes a 3 rd straight loss in B1G play? We have audio from Fred AND Ben McCollum…-Also, we have a disconnect from the AP Poll and ESPN's Joe Lunardi---Nebraska remains in the Top 10 at No. 9 after the week theyhad, but Lunardi dropped the Huskers to a 4-seed in his updated Bracketology yesterday…you can imagine how THAT went with Huskerfans…and there was one Top 10 matchup yesterday with Houston at Iowa State….Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
-It was a slow start, with the Huskers falling behind 20-12 in the first half before taking a one-point halftime lead….then Pryce Sandfortand Sam Hoiberg took over in the second half to overcome an off-day from Rienk Mast and win comforbably-There was lots of groaning from the fanbase during the game and on social media after despite winning by 19…as if they forgot thatthis Northwestern team led Michigan at home by 16 points in the 2 nd half just days prior…fandom rears its ugly headOur Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
-Of all the games left on the regular season schedule, this one means a lot in terms of how great this season can potentially be. Yes, the2 games in California vs. USC/UCLA will be difficult and you hope to win at least one of those…but this game is the gateway to bigthings-Iowa was hardly competitive at all in a 78-57 loss to Purdue…the Boilermakers road the same recipe to success in their win overNebraska of great rebounding and great defense. Iowa has little going offensively outside of Bennett Stirtz right now…Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
