-First things first---no run happens without beating Troy. We will have Josh Boutwell on later in the show to preview the Trojansand see what their feeling is about the potential of knocking off Nebraska and moving on-As we look at a potential 2 nd round matchup…are we positive Vanderbilt is going to beat McNeese? -Jake NEVER uses forum conversation, but this one seemed fun: a poster asked would you rather have Nebraska basketball win theirfirst ever game in the NCAA Tournament OR have 15 points to randomly allocate to Husker football throughout the football season-Example: Nebraska loses 23-20 in football to someone…you use 4 of your 15 points to win that game…15 points could change a 6 winseason to a 9 or 10 win season depending on how close the games are…but a first round win for Nebrasketball is a first ever…Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Progressive: https://progressive.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

-A lot has happened since our show on Friday---Nebraska fell to Purdue, 74-58, who then went on to win the Big Ten Tournament andget a 2-seed in the Big Dance after an impressive showing. Disappointing result for Nebraska, but on to the Dance-Troy is the competition in Round 1, as both teams try to win their first ever NCAA Tournament games. The Trojans pushed USC earlierin the year in a 3 OT loss and also beat a tourney team (Akron) this season, so they'll be no pushover. Nebraska opens as a 13.5 pointfavorite vs. 22-11 Troy…Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Progressive: https://progressive.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
-It's the 2 nd highest seed in program history, and it will be a raucous pro-Nebraska crowd…but Nebraska is 6-6 since their 20-0 start tothe season. Troy will be difficult but it's the first non-B1G team Nebraska has seen since late December…-The middling previous 12 games have many Nebraska fans concerned…but is a chance of scenery just what they need? Can they avoidthe slow starts that plague them so badly over the past month? Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Progressive: https://progressive.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Jack and Kaleb get together for perhaps their last "duo" show of the year, before the whole crew joins up for the first and second round of the NCAA Tournament, after Nebraska drops their first game of the Big Ten Tournament to Purdue in a game that never really was close. And this one wasn't hard to diagnose, as the two biggest problems for the Huskers were very obvious: turnovers and rebounding. Jack and Kaleb take a shot at diagnosing why those things have become such a problem, if either of them are fixable, or will be mitigated by different competition in the tournament. And folks, we cannot emphasize enough to you that Jack wanted no part of this show tonight, but as usual, he started to come around as the show went on, and in the end, he eked out a smile or two. After they talk through the loss, the guys discuss the potential seed/matchup/venue ramifications of it for the NCAA tournament and start to do some very initial analysis on who the 1st and possible 2nd round opponents might be for the Huskers, and give the listeners some comps to more familiar teams for context. Plus, the Ryan Anderson Memorial (he's not dead) Player of the Game, and, you know this, but Jack fighting with people in the comments. The Nebrasketball Hour is proudly sponsored by Nebraska Realty! -It's not about a player, it's not about a coach---it's the fact that in the year 2026, Nebraska has the chance THIS YEAR to havethe greatest season in the history of the program. Not many schools if any can say that…mostly they can debate what was thebest year…not here-Without a shadow of a doubt, if Nebraska wins next week in the NCAA Tournament and gets their most ever wins in a seasonand their first ever tourney win…we all who are alive can say we most certainly saw THE best season ever for this program. Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Progressive: https://progressive.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

-The B1G Coaches were much kinder to Nebraska than the media side (no shock there), as Pryce Sandfort was named 1 st -teamAll-B1G and Fred Hoiberg was named B1G Coach of the Year; Braden Frager also was honored as 6 th Man of the Year and All-Freshman Team-Sam Hoiberg made the coaches' All-B1G defense team, and Rienk Mast was honorable-mention All-B1G…from the media side,Pryce Sandfort was 2 nd -team All-B1G and Sam Hoiberg was honorable mention. It's the 500th episode since Cole started the Saturday morning show in 2015!! Cole Stukenholtz and Nate Rohr are in-studio together, and they start off with some Husker QB talk as Anthony Colandrea met with the media, along with TJ Lateef and Daniel Kaelin. Then, the Nebrasketball roundtable! Wilson Moore from the Omaha World-Herald and Matt Knobbe from Husker Hoops Central join the guys to discuss this historic team. They breakdown the 2025-26 season, including when they all knew this group was different. They also look back at Fred Hoiberg's tenure and where each of them saw the turning point toward program success. Finally, everyone forecasts the NCAA Tournament result for Nebraska. Cole & Nate run down the other sports results from the week: NU women's hoops suffered a tough B1G tourney loss and find themselves squarely on the bubble ahead of Selection Sunday. Softball is in the Top 10 and has won 11 of 12. And Baseball walked off Michigan State in their B1G opener, with starting pitching rounding into form but issues to work out with the bullpen. GBR!!!
-It's a rare world where the final game of the season doesn't signify whether Nebraska makes a postseason tournament or not---that has been known since early January, which is preferred-However, Sunday at 4pm…the Hawkeyes come to town trying to sweep the season series and really send Nebraska into a spiralof confusion heading into the postseason….seems rather important to win, not just for the triple-bye in the B1G Tournament-And, ROLL CALL (sponsored by Madsen's Bowling & Billiards): where are Breakers listening from today? Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Progressive: https://progressive.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
