Hello, and welcome to Money Moves for Teens by Talia! I’m Talia, and I created this podcast because I think kids my age don’t get a good enough education on how to manage money. This is something we should be learning and talking about now so we’ll be better prepared for the future. In this podcast, I’ll cover topics relating to personal finance, including saving, spending, and yes, making money. My hope is that by sharing this information, you will learn about it with me, and my podcast can act as an introduction/head start for you, as you start on your financial journey. I do all the research so you don't have to! This podcast is for all teens who want to get good with money, or for their parents who want to have constructive conversations with their teens about it. Either way, I’m glad you found Money Moves for Teens by Talia, and I hope you enjoy!

Talia Levy

As teenagers, we’ve grown up hearing from adults to do well in school, be accepted into a good college to get a degree, then go work and and make money through your salary to support yourself and your family; and hopefully as you age, that salary will increase. But, they don’t always mention that there different types of “work” you can do to make money. “What do you want to do when you grow up?” usually results in answers like doctor or lawyer, and while those are very respectable jobs, working 9-5 is not the only way you can make money. I will be talking about 3 types of income: active, portfolio, and passive, across three different episodes. This episode, I’m focusing on active income and I’ll talk about what it is, give some examples, and explain the pros and cons.SourcesFour Pillar FreedomSurvey mentionedIf you liked this episode please subscribe, leave a review, and share this podcast, so this content can help as many people as possible.Print out my outline & discussion guide.Buy me a coffee & support this podcast. Are you a visual learner?
