George Wright III discusses emotional control as a key differentiator between high performers and those who struggle, emphasizing that life is shaped by how you respond to circumstances rather than the circumstances themselves. He explains that emotional control isn't suppressing feelings but preventing temporary emotions from driving decisions, noting emotions provide useful information while still requiring discipline. Drawing on Stephen Covey's idea of the space between stimulus and response, he contrasts reacting automatically with responding intentionally. He offers practical strategies: build awareness by identifying triggers and separating yourself from emotions, pause before acting to avoid permanent decisions from temporary feelings, challenge the story and meaning you assign to events, and return to values by asking who you want to be in the moment. He invites listeners to share feedback via social or george@g3worldwide.com and previews upcoming topics including business, authority connections, and AI automation.00:00 Why Emotional Control Matters01:01 Emotions Versus Suppression02:45 Where Life Tests You04:34 Stimulus Response Space05:41 Awareness First06:39 Pause Before You Act07:26 Rewrite the Story08:29 Anchor to Your Values09:29 Freedom to Choose ResponseThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. George Wright III interviews Lane Martin, founder of Modern PurAir, about scaling a “boring but essential” indoor air quality service business through systems, technology, and franchising. Martin shares how he grew up in duct cleaning, bought into the family business in 1992, sold it in 1996, returned in 2001 after losing money in a furniture venture, and began scaling by hiring technicians despite initial resistance. Inspired by 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, he learned franchising lessons directly from Brian Scudamore and built a roadmap to expand. Modern PurAir now has 38 territories and 22 franchises across Canada with over $20M in system sales and is expanding into the U.S. They emphasize documenting everything with Loom/Scribe/Trainual, delegating to an 80% standard, and tracking KPIs like same-store sales growth and profitability guided by a three-year vivid vision.00:29 Meet Lane Martin01:35 From Duct Truck to Franchise03:07 Scaling Across North America04:21 Hiring First Tech Breakthrough05:50 Franchise Spark from Got Junk07:45 Operator to Visionary Shift09:20 Systems Beat Talent10:59 Documenting SOPs with Loom13:58 Delegation and the 80 Percent Rule18:12 KPIs and Vivid Vision Focus22:43 Boring Business Opportunities25:12 Indoor Air Quality Future and US Expansion27:36 Franchise Due Diligence AdviceThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. George Wright III discusses how distractions—environmental, digital, and emotional—can pull people off track from their goals and “true destiny,” especially as the year ends and many reset intentions. He urges listeners to become more intentional by first recognizing core distractions (email, phones, social media, busy work, circumstances) and also identifying feelings that derail progress (anxiety, stress, fear, anger). He recommends reframing problems as opportunities, setting boundaries (e.g., delaying email, reducing screen time), and using tools like music, affirmations, accountability, mentors, and support groups to move through distractions faster. He emphasizes getting outside the mind by physically moving, resting, and avoiding short-term fixes like addictions. The challenge: pinpoint three distractions to cut, reduce, eliminate, or delegate to improve focus and growth.00:58 Why We Drift02:32 Spot Your Distractions03:21 Emotional Distractions04:12 Reframe and Set Boundaries06:07 Get Out of Your Head07:08 New Year Focus Commitments07:59 Three Distractions ChallengeThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Writing a book is one of the most overlooked thought leadership moves a female founder can make, and most people go into it completely unprepared. On this episode of Dear FoundHer, Lindsay Pinchuk talks with Ruthie Ackerman, author of The Mother Code and founder of Ignite Writers Collective, about what it actually takes to write and publish a book. Ruthie spent years as a journalist and deputy editor at Forbes Women before losing her job, starting a business, and landing a Random House book deal. Now she helps women in business find their voice on the page, and she's honest about how hard the process is.The publishing world has a glamour problem. Most people picture the finished book, not the 90-page proposal, the years of revision, or the media outreach that a publisher will not do for you. Ruthie lays out what female founders need to know before they commit, including how to choose the right publishing path, what a real publicity strategy looks like, and why treating your book like a business launch is the only approach that works. For anyone building a personal brand and wondering whether a book belongs in that plan, Ruthie also speaks directly to the PR for small business reality. Getting press, landing speaking opportunities, and reaching the right audiences all require the same intentionality you bring to every other part of your business. A book done right is a long-term thought leadership asset, not a project you finish and walk away from.If your story has been sitting in the back of your mind waiting for the right moment, this episode is worth your time.Episode Breakdown:00:00 Thought Leadership Starts With Your Story03:51 Ruthie Ackerman's Path From Forbes to Random House05:59 Getting Laid Off and Launching Ignite Writers Collective08:21 How Ignite Writers Collective Grew During the Pandemic10:35 Starting a Book Three Months After Having a Baby12:08 Five Questions to Ask Before You Write a Book13:57 Traditional Publishing vs. Self-Publishing vs. Hybrid15:50 What a 90-Page Book Proposal Actually Looks Like18:35 Why Authors Have to Be Their Own Marketers20:07 Three Tips for Making Time to Write22:08 What Not to Do When Writing a Book24:10 How to Find a Literary Agent26:41 All the Hats You Have to Wear as an Author28:55 How Ignite Studios Supports Authors End-to-End32:11 Ruthie's Three Actionable Steps for Aspiring AuthorsConnect with Ruthie Ackerman:Follow Ruthie on Instagram Subscribe to The FoundHer Files Follow Dear FoundHer on Instagram Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm Hosted on Acast.

George Wright III explains that many talented people fail to reach their potential because they hesitate, overanalyze, and wait for certainty, allowing self-doubt to grow and others to outpace them through action. He argues confidence is not innate, arrogance, or loudness, but the calm belief you can act, adapt, and recover regardless of outcome, and it is built through accumulated evidence from taking action. He highlights three major sources of self-doubt: carrying past failures as identity, comparing yourself to others (especially social media highlight reels), and breaking integrity with yourself by not following through. To build real confidence, he recommends keeping small promises, acting before you feel ready, reframing failure as feedback, monitoring negative self-talk, and building competence through learning and practice, emphasizing growth over perfection and asking, “What would I do right now if I trusted myself completely?”00:00 Why Confidence Matters02:04 Action Before Confidence03:37 What Confidence Really Is04:45 How Confidence Shapes Life05:35 Three Sources of Doubt07:15 Keep Small Promises07:49 Take Action and Learn08:49 Fix Self Talk09:33 Build Competence Not Perfection10:52 Weekly Challenge and Wrap UpThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Have you ever thought about what you want to be known for? Stephen, an executive we interviewed, says it starts with your personal brand. And your personal brand starts with asking yourself "What do I want to be known for?" So how about you? If your co-workers were asked about you, and who you are, what would they say? We challenge you today, to take this question "What do I want to be known for?" and pen and paper and sit with it until you have an answer. And then, start intentionally beginning to LIVE IT OUT, consistently where you live, work and play. Ephesians 5:15 exhorts us "So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days."
George Wright III explains that while everyone wants growth and success, few want the pressure and discomfort that create them, emphasizing that adversity is part of the process, not an interruption. Focusing on entrepreneurs and leaders, the episode builds on prior topics like clarity, discipline, identity, and neuroplasticity to show that resilience is the learned ability to recover, adapt, and keep moving under pressure. Many people misinterpret setbacks as failure, triggering fear, doubt, and overwhelm that can lead to quitting and lost confidence; the key issue is the meaning attached to challenges. The speaker outlines a resilience pattern—resistance, adaptability, and growth—and advises reframing events by asking what they can teach, separating setbacks from identity, focusing on controllables, and prioritizing recovery through sleep, exercise, and mental resets. The episode closes with a call to lean into pressure and a preview of a future discussion on confidence and self-doubt.02:14 Mental Operating System Recap03:10 Why People Break Under Adversity04:18 What Resilience Really Is06:01 The Three Stages07:27 Reframe the Meaning09:45 Recovery Builds Confidence11:47 Lean Into Pressure12:54 Wrap Up and Next EpisodeThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. On The Daily Mastermind, host George Wright III interviews Jonathan Otto, founder of Red Life, about aggressive health optimization, including Otto's controversial advocacy of urine drinking and his focus on red light therapy. Otto shares his background growing up in Australia, early philanthropic drive, and severe childhood and young-adult illnesses that led him to seek non-allopathic solutions. Through investigative journalism and producing The Truth About Cancer, he connected with doctors and began researching and supplying red light devices to clinics, citing long-standing medical interest in urine extracts and red light use. He explains that many chronic issues relate to mitochondrial dysfunction and that red and near-infrared light support cellular energy (ATP), circadian “switching,” and may improve eyesight when used in the morning. They discuss wavelength differences, flicker-rate concerns, practical usage, and accessing studies via AI tools. 00:00 Global Problem Solver00:42 Daily Mastermind Intro01:23 Urine Therapy Explained02:37 Cellular Root Causes04:28 Jonathan's Origin Story06:57 Childhood Illness Journey08:43 Truth About Cancer Path10:27 Red Light Basics11:32 Eyes Open and Timing14:28 Colors and Flicker Rate16:35 Morning Red Light Fix17:38 How Light Powers Cells19:14 Wavelengths and Device Quality20:58 Researching Studies Fast22:06 Stress Anxiety and Performance23:33 Stop Glorifying Burnout25:31 Why Red Light Is Core25:51 Grandma Recovery Story26:56 Where to Buy and Discounts29:35 Portable Options and PricingThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. What if your productivity problem is not really about productivity? In this episode of Your Passion, Purpose and Personal Brand, Lisa McGuire explores why so many high-achieving entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals keep reaching for better systems, stronger discipline, and more optimization—when the real issue may be identity. After a book club conversation about productivity, Lisa realized the people in the room were not struggling with time management. They were struggling with deeper questions: Who am I when I stop performing? What if the success I worked so hard for no longer feels meaningful? What if the version of me that built this life no longer fits? Lisa unpacks why self-knowledge is becoming one of the most valuable assets in business, leadership, personal branding, and the future of work. As AI makes information more abundant and execution easier to replicate, your lived perspective becomes the thing no one else can copy. You'll learn why the "Category of ONLY" is not a branding trick, but an identity concept that helps you name the clear, ownable difference your life has already built in you. This episode is for the successful person who looks productive on the outside but feels restless, misaligned, or quietly disconnected on the inside. In this episode, you'll learn: Why productivity struggles often point to identity questions The hidden cost of performance-driven success Why optimization cannot fix a life that no longer fits How self-knowledge becomes a business advantage What makes your lived perspective irreplaceable Why your Category of ONLY is uncovered, not invented Maybe the real work right now is not becoming more impressive. George Wright III explains that the brain is rewired daily through repeated thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and that neuroplasticity means neural pathways strengthen with use (“neurons that fire together, wire together”) and weaken when ignored. Building on prior episodes about clarity, focus, discipline, identity, and habits, he argues many people condition themselves accidentally into stress, self-doubt, procrastination, and fear because the brain reinforces whatever is repeated, not what is empowering. He identifies three sources of mental programming—repetition, emotion, and environment—and outlines intentional rewiring steps: increase awareness of recurring thoughts and emotions, interrupt negative loops with pattern breaks, consistently repeat new thoughts and actions, use visualization with emotion and certainty, and align environment to support growth. He warns against expecting instant change, using affirmations without action, and staying in limiting environments, and invites listener feedback via social channels or email.00:00 Your Brain Rewires Daily00:47 Foundation So Far01:37 Conditioned Without Intention02:42 Neuroplasticity Explained03:41 Why It Changes Everything04:29 Three Programming Sources05:52 Rewire Your Mind Steps08:06 Common Rewiring Mistakes09:11 Daily Audit QuestionsThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. Corbin Cowan explains how he connected with Board of Advisors after leaving a disappointing Florida mastermind while trying to turn around a near-bankrupt company. This lead to deals, meeting Kevin Harrington, selling that company, and later helping a med tech referral raise about $18 million and go public on Nasdaq. Corbin describes his Founders First Advisory, which prioritizes increasing what founders personally take from their businesses, starting with a tax strategy using an Inflation Reduction Act investment tax credit program (about 35%–40%) and bonus depreciation, structured to eliminate current-year income tax and potentially recover about 75% of taxes paid over the prior three years. 01:06 Founders First Advisory02:03 Board of Advisors Origin03:23 Deals and Exits Through BA04:13 Who He Serves04:43 Tax Product Overview06:55 How the Credit Works08:07 Eligibility and Intake09:54 Found Money and Peace11:00 Reinvest or Pocket ItThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. In this episode of the Creator Method Podcast, Gary Lipovetsky sits down with Sophie Elgort, a fashion and celebrity photographer, Forbes 30 Under 30 alum, and creator of Portrait Mode with Sophie Elgort, a PBS/All Arts series that began as an Instagram idea during COVID. Sophie has photographed names like Brooke Shields, Naomi Watts, and the Jenner sisters, while building a career that extends far beyond being behind the lens. Together, Gary and Sophie unpack why talented creatives often stay invisible, why being great at your craft is no longer enough, and how personal branding has become a major advantage for photographers, artists, stylists, makeup artists, and behind-the-scenes creatives. Sophie shares why getting credited matters, how social media can become a form of outreach, and why putting your work out consistently can create opportunities that traditional networking often cannot. The conversation also dives into Sophie's journey of building her own name while growing up as the daughter of legendary photographer Arthur Elgort, the pressure of proving herself in a competitive industry, and the reality of balancing creative work, business, content, and motherhood. Sophie opens up about being repeatedly rejected while pitching her show, learning to keep going despite rejection, and turning a simple creative experiment with her father into a PBS series. Gary and Sophie also discuss the future of creative work, including how creatives can build repeatable content systems, capture situational content, use writing to deepen their voice, and leverage tools like AI without losing authenticity. George Wright III explains that lasting success comes from small actions repeated consistently, not intentions, motivation, or one big decision. He connects prior themes—clarity, focus, discipline, and identity—to show how identity shapes behavior and habits automate it to create long-term results. He defines habits as automatic behaviors formed through the habit loop of cue, routine, and reward, emphasizing that environment often shapes behavior more than willpower. To build better habits, he recommends starting small, using habit stacking by attaching new behaviors to existing routines, controlling the environment to make good habits easy and bad habits hard, tracking activity, and reinforcing identity by keeping promises to yourself. He warns against trying to change too much, relying on motivation, unrealistic goals, and quitting after one missed day, and challenges listeners to commit to one habit for 30 days.00:00 Small Things Compound00:27 Intentions vs Habits01:06 Foundation and Identity01:52 Why People Struggle02:36 Define Habits Clearly03:19 Momentum and Compounding04:24 The Habit Loop05:51 Build Better Habits06:51 Environment and Tracking07:54 Identity and Sabotage09:13 30 Day Habit Challenge11:02 Wrap Up and Next StepsThanks for listening, and Please Share this Episode with someone. There is a kind of loneliness high achievers rarely admit. It does not always come from being alone. Sometimes it shows up when your calendar is full, your business is working, your title still earns respect, and everyone around you assumes you are fine. But underneath the performance, something feels disconnected. In this episode of Your Passion, Purpose and Personal Brand, Lisa McGuire explores the quiet loneliness that can emerge when an old identity, role, room, or definition of success no longer fits. She names the "Identity Eclipse" — the in-between season when the world still relates to who you were, while another version of you is beginning to emerge. This conversation is for entrepreneurs, founders, leaders, and high performers who look successful on the outside but feel the gap widening between what still functions and what actually nourishes them. Lisa shares a personal story of returning to a networking room from an earlier chapter of business and realizing, without drama or bitterness, "this is no longer my room." From there, she unpacks why traditional personal branding can become another form of performance, and why true visibility begins with knowing your Category of ONLY™ — the unique combination of lived experience, essence, perspective, and impact no one else can replicate. In this episode, you'll explore: Why success can still feel lonely What the "Identity Eclipse" is and how to recognize it Why old rooms, roles, and relationships may stop fitting The difference between performance-based branding and authentic identity How your Category of ONLY™ helps you stop shape-shifting for approval Why real belonging begins when you stop abandoning yourself The loneliness you feel may not mean something is wrong with you. It may mean something inside you is no longer willing to stay disconnected from the truth. Listen now if you are navigating a shift in business, leadership, identity, or visibility — and you are ready to stop performing certainty long enough to hear what your next chapter is asking from you. Personal branding is more essential than ever in 2026, especially as AI lowers the barrier to entry for online coaching and floods the space with homogenized content. Neither ads nor AI can replicate the human connection that drives long-term customer loyalty and lifetime value. As a coach, you need to lean into your authentic personality, show up face-to-camera consistently, and share the behind-the-scenes "knowables" that make you genuinely distinct. The coaches who will stand out won't be the most credentialed or the most polished, they'll be the ones their audience feels like they actually know. In this episode of the Travis Makes Money podcast, Travis Chappell and producer Eric play a fast-paced game of “This or That,” diving into some of the biggest debates in entrepreneurship, investing, and wealth-building. From buying vs. renting and high-ticket offers to personal branding and business partnerships, Travis shares nuanced takes shaped by interviewing over 1,000 successful entrepreneurs. Along the way, the conversation mixes practical business wisdom with hilarious tangents about HOAs, basketball hoops, Arnold Schwarzenegger quotes, and the realities of building a meaningful life and career. On this episode we talk about: Buying real estate vs. renting and how to evaluate a good deal Whether entrepreneurs should stay solo or bring on business partners Why high-ticket offers are often the fastest path to sustainable income The pros and cons of building a personal brand vs. a faceless company How to balance business success, fulfillment, family, and long-term impact Top 3 Takeaways High-ticket offers generally make scaling easier because they require fewer customers, better cash flow, and lower customer acquisition pressure. A strong business partner can dramatically accelerate growth, but the wrong partnership can create massive problems—choose carefully. Personal branding can create long-term leverage and future-proof opportunities, but it's not required for success and shouldn't come at the expense of your health or family. Notable Quotes “It's always good to buy if it's a good deal.” “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” “Money only solves your money problems, but it's easier to solve the rest of your problems when you got money in the bank.” Connect with Travis Chappell: Instagram: @travischappell LinkedIn: Travis Chappell Website: https://travischappell.com A Word from Our Sponsors: Are you ready to start your own creator journey and make it big? In this episode, Chalene Johnson joins Brock Johnson to break down the biggest dangers of using AI for your personal brand and why the future of content creation is becoming less about information and more about trust, personality, and differentiation. They start by discussing how AI is training creators to become forgettable by pushing everyone toward the same styles, formats, and messaging. Chalene explains why so much content online suddenly feels identical, and how this is contributing to what Brock calls the coming “trust recession” on social media. From there, she breaks down how AI is changing the rules of personal branding. Information alone is no longer enough because anyone can generate it instantly. Instead, your personality, perspective, quirks, values, and communication style are becoming the real product. She explains the idea of “assets of differentiation” and why subtle human differences are becoming more valuable in an AI-saturated internet. They also talk about the slippery slope most creators don't notice with AI—where enhancement slowly turns into identity replacement—and how creators can use AI without losing authenticity. Chalene shares how she personally uses AI today, where she draws the line, and why authenticity is quickly becoming a competitive advantage. Finally, they discuss the growing divide between AI-optimized creators and trust-optimized creators, the importance of having an anti-message, and why trust may become the most valuable currency online over the next few years. This episode is focused on helping creators use AI strategically without sacrificing the human elements that actually build connection and long-term influence. Watch On YouTube
