Money is one of the greatest sources of tension in families—but God's Word offers a better way.In this message from Philippians 4:11–13 and Proverbs 30:7–9, Pastor Corey teaches that financial peace is not found in having more money, but in having more margin. While culture encourages the pursuit of wealth and possessions, he points to the biblical principle that true contentment comes from disciplining our desires and trusting God with what He has provided.Drawing from practical wisdom throughout Scripture, Pastor Corey explains that financial peace is less about managing money and more about mastering the desires that drive our spending. He challenges families to pursue a lifestyle marked by contentment, wise stewardship, and generosity.Through this encouraging and practical sermon, Pastor Corey shares:• Why financial peace begins with contentment, not a higher income• How quality of life matters more than standard of living• The importance of building margin through discipline and intentional planning• Why a budget is an essential tool for faithful stewardship• How debt can limit freedom and create unnecessary burdens• God's biblical pattern of giving, saving, and living on the rest• Why generosity reflects trust in God rather than trust in wealth• How true riches are found in contentment and a growing relationship with ChristFeaturing insights from Philippians, Proverbs, 1 Timothy, Hebrews, Ecclesiastes, and the teachings of Jesus, Pastor Corey challenges believers to rethink their relationship with money and discover the freedom that comes from living according to God's design.

I sat down with Patrick from Ampli live at ConsenSys in Miami for a wide-ranging conversation that ran nearly an hour, and for good reason. Patrick went from studying political science in Germany and France to becoming a crypto tokenomics advisor, and now co-founder of Ampli, a company building the security infrastructure for AI agents that manage money. We got into why blockchain was essentially built for AI before AI even existed, how Ampli's Agent Control Room lets fund managers discover, deploy, and control agents without ever handing over the keys, and why 90% of crypto exploits last year came down to human error rather than smart contract bugs. We also talked about the future of stablecoins as geopolitical tools, why DeFi is bottoming out like the post-dotcom era before a decade-long bull run, and what a world looks like where every phone has a personal banker inside it. This is one of those conversations packed with insight for founders, fund managers, and anyone paying attention to where finance is actually heading. Disclaimer:Nothing mentioned in this podcast is investment advice and please do your own research. It would mean a lot if you can leave a review of this podcast on Apple Podcasts or Spotify and share this podcast with a friend. Be a guest on the podcast or contact us - https://www.web3pod.xyz/ Connect: https://ampli.net/ Key points with time stamps: • [00:00] Patrick introduces himself, political science background in Germany and France, discovered Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2016, drawn in by smart contracts as a governance solution• [04:00] What Ampli is building, agentic capital management infrastructure that lets AI agents autonomously transact money and digital assets securely• [08:00] Why Ampli pivoted from consumer products to infrastructure, the agent capability grew faster than the security stack beneath it• [12:00] How Ampli's separation of powers works, agents only send suggestions, policies are written on-chain, and the agent never holds the keys• [16:00] The 90% statistic, security researchers found that over 90% of exploited crypto funds last year came from human error, social engineering, and front-end spoofing, not smart contract bugs• [20:00] Why blockchain was built for AI before AI arrived, it is cumbersome for humans but perfect for machines transacting value at scale• [25:00] What comes next in the agentic space, purpose-built agents, agent marketplaces, and agents subcontracting other agents• [30:00] The Visa study showing 90% of stablecoin transactions on Ethereum in 2024 were done by bots, proof the rails are ready for machine-to-machine finance• [35:00] DeFi trends, Patrick's thesis that DeFi is bottoming out like the post-dotcom era, with tokenization and institutional adoption set to drive a decade-long secular bull run• [40:00] Companies Patrick admires, Midas for disciplined tokenization and Fortify for MPC-based self-custody• [44:00] Ampli's Agent Control Room, their first product, letting fund managers discover, deploy, benchmark, and control agents• [48:00] Crypto's real product-market fits, stablecoins, yield, gambling, capital gains, and front-loading liquidity through ICOs and TGEs• [52:00] Stablecoins as geopolitical tools, how the US chose private stablecoins over CBDCs to spread dollarization globally, and what a future AI-native monetary primitive might look like• [56:00] Advice for founders, listen to potential clients obsessively, build toward customer needs, and always push toward profitability so investors chase you

A lot of Christian dads think budgeting is only for people who are broke. But imagine standing before God—the true Owner of everything—and saying, “We made money… we just don't really know where it went. And we don't have a plan for what's next.” That's not freedom. That's careless stewardship. In this episode of Abraham's Wallet, we talk about why even prosperous families must budget like serious managers of wealth, how budgeting actually protects your future, and why the habits you build now will serve your family for decades. If you've ever thought “we don't need a budget,” this one might change the way you see money forever. About Abraham's Wallet: Abraham's Wallet exists to inspire and equip Biblical family leaders. Developing emotional intelligence around your money is a critical part of being good with money – but we're not taught how to do it. Starting with this business-style approach to managing your money helps you see it like a tool, rather than an extension of your identity or a representation of your worth. Highlights: Treating your life like a business to give you the clarity you need for success Allocating funds to your different life "departments" Being proactive and reactive accordingly Investing in growth and efficiency Adopting a "margin mindset" Identifying when your lifestyle isn't viable (and what to do instead) Viewing things from a big picture perspective by taking an annual approach to expenses ORDER THE WARDROBE PROJECT! Love is in the air as Valentine's Day approaches, but while Sarah and Amy are navigating a new romantic milestone, Susie is mostly just finding the whole shift deeply annoying. The duo dives into the social dynamics of the season by dissecting the functional differences between friendship and community, exploring why we need both even if they serve wildly different purposes in our lives. The conversation takes a sharp turn into "fitness cults" as Sarah realizes her old workout routine was less about health and more about a non-religious devotion to a gym leader, before pivoting to a bizarre news story involving a WWI artillery shell and a very delicate emergency room extraction. Naturally, this leads to a candid and hilarious debate over the 69 position; Sarah maintains it is an overrated logistical nightmare, but after Susie's passionate defense, the pair concludes that Sarah's distaste is likely just a result of poor execution.00:00 - New Relationship Dynamics and Valentine's Day Expectations10:19 - Understanding the Different Needs of Friendship and Community16:44 - Film Students and the Decline of Attention Spans24:41 - Manage Your Money and Cancel Subscriptions with Rocket Money26:46 - The Problem with Grading on a Curve in Academia30:47 - A Bizarre Emergency Room Visit: Unexploded Artillery Shell42:07 - Amplify Your Everyday with Thrive Cosmetics and Community Support44:56 - Sarah and Susie Debate the Logistics of the 69 Position49:57 - Experiencing Awe: Aquanauts and the Underwater Overview Effect54:16 - Why Public Dancing is Disappearing and Overcoming EmbarrassmentBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Let Rocket Money help you reach your financial goals faster. There's a tug-of-war between investing in cash and long duration bonds in today's interest environment. The longer-end of the yield curve may look more appealing since anticipation is building about interest rate cuts. Morningstar's economics team and market watchers are predicting the Federal Reserve will lower rates more than once in the final months of 2025. What may matter more is the time horizon for your financial goals. Morningstar Inc Portfolio Strategist Amy Arnott has examined why for some investors, sticking with cash is a less risky and better approach.Oracle's transformation is serving as a reminder that big opportunities to invest in artificial intelligence still exist. The database provider's expansion into being a cloud provider recently sparked a 42% jump in its stock price. That caught the attention of Dan Kemp, chief research and investment officer at Morningstar Investment Management Europe. The author of the Markets Brief says one of the big takeaways is that stocks like Oracle are making good use of AI, and investors should look beyond the popular names. In next week's Markets Brief, Dan will dive into how the Federal Reserve's quarter-point rate cut feeds into changed opportunities and risks in the broader markets for the long term. On this episode:Let's start with an explainer. What is cash? Interest rates are a popular topic now. The Federal Reserve is expected to announce its rate decision this afternoon. Morningstar's economics team and market watchers are predicting lower rates. Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?' In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.   Deuteronomy 14:23 | Learn to Fear of the Lord   And before the Lord your God, in the place that he will choose, to make his name dwell there, you shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and flock, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.   Deuteronomy 8:18 | The Power to Get Wealth   You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.   Matthew 6:3-4 | Give to the Needy in Secret   But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.   Mark 12:41-44 | The Widow's Offering   Acts 4:36-37 | An Open Offering   Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet.   1 Chronicles 29:9 | Whole-Hearted Giving   Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.   Matthew 5:16 | Good Works Glorify God   In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.   Proverbs 21:5 | Diligence Brings Success   The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.   Matthew 6:21 | Your Treasure Leads Your Heart   For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. We're bringing back one of our favorite episodes packed with an inspiring journey of Chris Odegard as he took a transformative turn when he lost 55% of his assets in his mid-40s, prompting him to explore alternative investment strategies. Inspired by Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Odegard shifted from traditional investing methods, such as stocks and 401(k)s, to real estate, particularly focusing on duplexes, apartments, and self-storage through syndication. His new approach not only helped him recover his losses but also generated impressive annual returns of over 20%, alongside strategic tax benefits, including paying zero taxes in 2019. This success solidified his belief in the power of alternative investments and the importance of an open mind when considering financial opportunities. In addition to his personal achievements, Odegard wrote a book titled Get Off Your Ass and Manage Your Money, which critiques traditional investment methods and advocates for more effective tax strategies and alternative approaches like real estate syndication. The book compares conventional and unconventional investment options, helping readers understand why 401(k)s and the stock market may not be ideal for long-term wealth-building. For those looking to explore alternative investments and gain insights from his experiences, Chris offers valuable resources through his website. If you're ready to take control of your financial future, book a free virtual coffee chat with him to discuss investment strategies and gain personalized advice and start your journey towards smarter, more profitable investments.
