Join host Kirk Puckett with guests Nisha Williams, legal director with the NC Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and Cathy Roberson, Executive Director of the Cleveland County Abuse Prevention Council, as they discuss domestic violence, service providers, confidentiality restrictions, and working with law enforcement officers. Domestic violence service providers cannot confirm or deny if a person is receiving or has received services when law enforcement is attempting to serve an arrest warrant or locate a missing person. When law enforcement is empowered with the knowledge and understanding of these confidentiality boundaries, then they can provide better partnerships and relationships with their local domestic violence agencies.
