Jesus poured himself out so that we could be filled with all the fullness of God. Thanks so much for listening. We're continuing our Multiply series this week by studying Isaiah 2:2-5. God's presence is better than everything we chase after on our own. We think we can reach the mountaintop experience, but only God's presence can satisfy. His presence is with his people, so as we enter into his presence, we reflect that to others. Let's live on mission for him this week by bringing others up the mountain with us!

This week we finish Esther in chapters 8-10. We see how violence gave the Jews rest from their enemies in this story, but how that foreshadows a greater rest that Jesus would win for his people. He would allow violence to befall him, rather than his enemies. And we're his enemies. His grace conquered our greatest enemy on our behalf.

As we continue in Esther chapters 5-7, we'll see that the only identity worth having is the identity God gives us. Esther finally steps into who she is as one of God's people, and he uses her to deliver the remnant of Jews throughout the Persian empire. Haman, on the other hand, is consumed with pride. He tries to find his identity in something that leads to destruction. We hope you'll check out this message from Esther, and that it challenges and encourages you to grow deeper into your relationship with Jesus. The identity he gives you is the only one worth having.

This week we dive back into Esther, chapters 3-4. We see Esther finally recognize that it's her moment. God is giving her a choice: step into the moment for his purpose, or continue to live for her own purposes. We have the same choice. Will we live for God, or ourselves? Thanks for listening. We must learn to grow in our love for Jesus. Maturity isn't a state of being, but a state of growing. We have a guest speaker, Andrew Hopper, today! Andrew is the Lead Pastor of Mercy Hill Church in Greensboro, NC. Mercy Hill sent our church planting team to Roanoke to launch Redemption Church! This week, Andrew teaches from Proverbs 1 about wisdom and folly. We have a choice in life: live in the wise path, or live by folly. One leads to heaven, the other to hell. This week as we look at Psalm 8, it teaches us about human dignity. It's based on God's majesty, and he has made us to be like him in the world. That affects how we view things like abortion, and other justice issues where people are marginalized or devalued. We often conflate justice to favor ourselves, but true justice come from the True King. We also look to understand Mercy as something we have been given but do not deserve. Prayer can never result in apathy; it moves us to action as we get to participate in God's mission with him. What's the key in this process? Meditation. We study Genesis 23 this week, talking about death. It's never a fun topic! But we will all face death at some point. The only sure thing in this life is that we'll die one day. For those who follow Jesus, death can be the beginning of eternal life with God. We'll learn that God fulfills his promise of life through death. We hope this sermon encourages your faith and challenges you to live more like Jesus.

This week we look in Genesis 22 at Abraham's test and God's faithfulness. God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son, Isaac. Why would God do that? And why did Abraham obey? Because he finally learned that God is trustworthy, and that God will provide. So Abraham finally learned to surrender everything in his life to God. We must learn to surrender everything to God, as well. Thanks for checking out this week's message! We hope it encourages you to grow deeper into your relationship with Jesus.

Have you ever made a promise you can't keep. Of course! You're only human. But God always keeps his promises. He protects them, and we can celebrate when we see his promises fulfilled. as we study Genesis 20-21, we'll see that fear can lead to some serious consequences, but God's faithfulness is sure. And when we put our faith in him, it leads to joy and celebration. We hope this message is an encouragement to you as you dive deeper into your relationship with God.

We're continuing in Genesis 18-19 this week, looking at how Abraham is God's friend, versus Lot who is the world's friend. God doesn't want our destruction, he wants our friendship! But in rejecting him, we necessarily reject life. So Christians are called to intercede for the world, so that God will work to save the lost and make them his friend through Christ. We hope this message, while it deals with some hard topics, will encourage your walk with Jesus.

This week we continue our Made For More series as we look at Genesis chapters 16 and 17. Abraham and Sarah bring chaos into Hagar's life by sinning against her. They doubt God's promise, and commit a sin similar to Adam and Eve in the Garden. But, God brings order out of chaos. He enters into their story and shows care for the sufferer while he also shows grace to the sinner. Thankfully, he would deal with the chaos brought into the world by becoming the ultimate Hagar and the better Abraham in Jesus.

This week we're continuing our Made for More series in Genesis 15. God promises to bless Abraham, but Abraham's response is... doubt! But God isn't put off by his doubt, God doubles down and guarantees his own faithfulness, even through Abraham's doubt. Our God is faithful, even when we're faithless. We hope this message encourages you to bring your doubts to God, and to turn to Jesus, his guarantee to us that he loves us and will make us right with him.

This week we continue our series in Genesis looking at chapters 13-14. Abraham and Lot both have ambition, but one is for material wealth while the other is for God's mission. We'll see how ambition is good when it's directed at the right thing. Let's be ambitious for God and his kingdom and we'll always be satisfied and filled with joy!

As we begin a new series in going into Abrahams Story today, we look to Genesis 12 to set the framework of this series. We see how God calls Abraham to get out of himself and into God, and that God calls us all to get out of ourselves and get into him!

Thanks so much for joining our last message in this series from Acts 2:14-47. Peter preaches the first sermon after the Spirit descends and 3000 people repent and get baptized on the spot! His sermon shows us how to read the Old Testament, how to engage people in the culture, and it prompts a response: surrender. We have to learn to surrender the throne of our hearts to Jesus, and when we do, we'll be left in awe of all he's done in and through us. Then we'll want to devote ourselves to God's Word, each other, and prayer.

We're continuing our Witness series in Acts 2 today, looking specifically at Acts 2:1-13. The Holy Spirit descends on the believers like fire, then they go out and preach the gospel in all the known languages throughout Jerusalem. What in the world is going on here and how does it apply to us? We'll dig in to see how the Spirit of God fills all believers, and the gospel is for all cultures.

This week we continue our Witness message series by looking at Acts 1, and focusing on a few verses. When we believe and trust in the Risen Savior, he gives us his Spirit, and it turns us into witnesses of the gospel in the world. This message captivates our heart. Are you captivated by the gospel? Are you witnessing its power in your life?

Join us this Palm Sunday as we have guest speaker, Brant Gordon, from Mercy Hill Church as he goes through Ephesians 2:1-10. He shows us the Gospel, what that truly means for our lives, and the gift God has given us!

This week we conclude our series in 1 Timothy by looking at chapter 6. Guest speaker, Bryan Miller, asks us to consider what we seek in life. If we seek things of this world, like material possessions and wealth, we'll never find satisfaction. But if we seek God through what Jesus has done for us, then we'll always be satisfied!

As we get close to finishing 1 Timothy, this week we study 1 Timothy 5:1-6:2 to learn more about honoring one another. When we honor others, we show them deference, respect, and care, especially those who've cared for us and others. The problem is, we fail to honor God and others because we want to honor ourselves more. But Jesus took the dishonor we deserve and gave us his own honor before God. Now God honors us because he sees Jesus perfect life and death in our place. Let's respond by honoring God above all else, which will naturally push us to honor others.
