A podcast where two sisters banter over a variety of topics and talk to interesting people in our lives who are striving in their own ways to create a path for themselves. We weren’t always close, given that we are 5 years apart, but our relationship has deepened over the years. Our best talks have always been either around the dinner table or during long car rides. We want to replicate these conversations and have an open dialogue about topics that we feel as though aren’t talked about enough.

Welcome back to stuff my sister says! In this episode, we question how is everyone affording to go overseas and also fully fill up their gas tank! Is social media lying to us? We compare different social media to see what people are posting vs. what they're saying. We also take a look at how Kiana, being an influencer herself, feels about constantly promoting products while also being a part of the consumer culture as well. Before all of that, we start the episode with a brief catch-up and talk about stuff on our minds, where we talk about everyone getting skinny again and question why everyone and their mother is coming out with a product line! Welcome back to stuff my sister says! This week we had a different episode planned, but like the rest of the country, we were shocked about what happened in Houston this past weekend at Astroworld. First, our hearts are with the families during this difficult time. To start the episode Kiana and I talk about the events that occurred briefly and then take a deeper look at different reasons why this tragedy happened. We talk about celebrity culture, social media and how rapidly we consume content, violence in our society, and American individualism. We also reflect on our past experiences going to different concerts and festivals and really look into Travis' fanbase and what he is able to incite within them. We look at the pandemic and see if being cooped up in our homes for almost two years added another layer to this all occurring. Welcome back to stuff my sister says! In this episode, we talk about stuff that's been on our minds for the past week and then get into the documentary Seaspiracy. We talk about what stood out to us from the documentary like greenwashing, microplastics and what commercial fishing is and the impact it really has on our ocean's ecosystems. We also take a critical look at how the information in the documentary may be doing more harm than good when convincing the general audience about moving forward to help our oceans.
