As the green candlelight flickered lower and lower, a group of tireless paranormal researchers who had gathered around a reconstructed ritual circle were casting ancient manuscripts into the flames. Whispers rose with the smoke, and strange omens shimmered where the veil between reality and the land of the Ancient Ones had thinned. They knew the risks. They knew they were slowly losing their minds. Yet, they pressed on, drawn to the truths that lurked beyond comprehension. They were prepared to pay the ultimate price to join the exclusive Club of Cthulhu by Shi Chen from Play With Us Design with art by Keching Chang.Read the full review here: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2025/08/02/club-of-cthulhu-saturday-review/Useful LinksClub of Cthulhu: https://pwud.ga/product/club-of-cthulhu/Rulebook: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/299980/club-of-cthulhu-english-rulesPlay With Us Design: https://pwud.ga/BGG listing: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/445785/club-of-cthulhuSoulaween review: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2022/10/29/soulaween-saturday-review/Sea Salt & Paper review: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/2023/07/08/sea-salt-paper-saturday-review/MusicIntro Music: Bomber (Sting) by Riot (https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/)Sound Effects: ZapSplatLink: https://www.zapsplat.com/Music: Lost Place Atmospheres 001 by Sascha EndeLink: https://ende.app/en/song/7664-lost-place-atmospheres-001Music: Cinematic Suspense Series Episode 004 by Sascha EndeLink: https://ende.app/en/song/5798-cinematic-suspense-series-episode-004SupportIf you want to support this podcast financially, please check out the links below:Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/TabletopGamesBlogPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/tabletopgamesblogWebsite: https://tabletopgamesblog.com/support/
I'm joined again today by my favorite human—my husband, Greg! Together, we pull back the curtain on what it's really like to raise neurodivergent kids, how our parenting style has evolved over the years, and why we've chosen a low-demand, emotionally supportive approach in our home.We talk candidly about:When we decided to get our kids evaluated (and how we did it)Whether or not we medicate—and whyWhat low-demand parenting looks like in real lifeHow we navigate screen time (without losing our minds)Our journey of regulating ourselves so we can show up for our kidsHow we accommodate and support each of our unique kids, especially those with PDA traitsThis is a vulnerable, honest, and hopeful conversation between two very imperfect parents figuring it out as we go—and choosing connection over control as much as possible.Whether you're raising neurodivergent kids or just want a peek into our home life, we hope this episode leaves you feeling seen, supported, and a little less alone.Watch this episode on YouTubeWant help with your ADHD? There was no way out. The cell door was locked, the corridor quiet, and the warders had already done their rounds. A smuggled spoon pressed cold against the palm of my hand, a comb tucked into a loose floorboard, a stamp in my sock and a muffin hidden in the mess. Hey friends, Chase here. Ever feel like you're waiting for someone to hand you the map? You know—the step-by-step plan for building a creative life you actually want. The rules for how to get unstuck. The playbook for doing meaningful work without burning out or selling out. Here's the truth: That rulebook doesn't exist. No one's coming to hand it to you. Not your boss. Not a guru. Not even me. And honestly? That's a good thing. Because if there's no rulebook… you get to write your own. In this episode, I share 11 lessons that have helped me (and countless others) carve a path when there wasn't one. They're not “rules” in the traditional sense—they're more like signposts. Principles you can remix into a guide for your own life. Here's a taste of what we cover: Why “get sh*t done” beats overthinking every single time How to make your own rules—and know when to break them Why practicing your craft relentlessly matters more than chasing shiny shortcuts Why helping others isn't just nice—it's a success multiplier The big idea? Stop waiting for permission. Stop looking for the perfect plan. The only way to build the life you want is to start where you are, with what you have, and figure it out as you go. There's no perfect path. Just your path. So grab a pen. Start drafting your rulebook—messy, incomplete, and uniquely yours. Because the life you're craving? It won't come from playing by someone else's rules. Until next time—stay bold, and keep creating.

Jojo from Jerz brings together legal heavyweight George Conway and historian Heather Cox Richardson for a candid, unscripted conversation about the chaos of June 2025. With Trump launching strikes on Iran, Congress sidelined, and the world on edge, Jo, George, and Heather cut through the noise to ask: How did we get here—and what happens next?George & Heather swap stories from their Harvard days and dig into the psychology of Trump's power: Why do smart people keep caving to him? Why does the GOP keep bending the knee? And what does history tell us about strongmen, performative politics, and the collapse—or survival—of democracy? From the performative presidency to the dangers of unchecked executive power, the trio breaks down the legal, historical, and human stakes of this moment. They talk about the Supreme Court, the role of institutions, and why—when the rule of law is on the ropes—the only thing left is for people to get out in the streets and fight for what mattersSubscribe and Follow Jo:https://linktr.ee/jojofromjerz Hosted on Acast. The goal is super simple. Get all of your four pawns from one end of the nine-by-nine grid to the other. It seems like a long way and as your opponent has the same goal, you need to be clever and outmanoeuvre them. Choose the right card to move your pawns in a pattern that allows you to get around your opponent's pawns and get closer to your goal. However, if you're not careful, one of your pawns will get knocked out. I am so excited to be back behind the mic for a brand new season that's all about breaking free from what we “should” do and reclaiming our right to design a life that truly feels like our own. This year, I'm tossing out the old rule book and embracing honest, messy, and unfiltered conversations. You'll get more of the real me—no more hiding the dust bunnies, the yoga pants, and the chaos that comes with following your purpose. I'm opening up about what freedom, fulfillment, and blending business with life actually means, and I'm here to give you permission to do things your own way, unapologetically. As a sneak peek into where we're heading this season, I'm kicking things off by sharing my own story—the winding (and sometimes messy!) journey of how I built my freedom lifestyle. From my 16 years of feeling trapped in the nonprofit world, to embracing the unexpected twists and turns of entrepreneurship, I'll walk you through the real behind-the-scenes: the doubt, the breakdowns, the creative pivots, and the lessons I learned about letting go of traditional expectations. Instead of relying on one thing—one job, one business, one role—to give me everything, I discovered how to blend my passions, careers, and personal life into a unique mix that truly lights me up. This season is all about shining a light on those unconventional paths and inspiring you to craft a version of success that feels right for you. I can't wait to walk this journey with you!

When Jeany Cronk moved her young family from London to the south of France, she did so on a mission to not only make delicious wine, but shake up the whole rose tradition in the process. The co-founder of Mirabeau, Jeany and her family decided to put sustainability at the heart of their company. After waking up on the vineyard, we are treated to a tour of Jeany's farm, which is the first Regenerative Organic Certified accredited vineyard in France. There, along with meeting a couple of pigs and llamas, we learn more about the risk and reward of taking the plunge to work with the outside world.A huge thank you to Jeany Cronk, who has recently released At Home in Provence, a book that charts a culinary and family journey in the region along with life on the farm and its regenerative practices. Mirabeau has recently welcomed a new Rose to the family, called One Day. When I sat down with Eric Dominijanni, the founder of FIOR Scotch, I knew this was going to be more than a conversation about spirits; it was going to be about reinvention. Eric's background in beverage alcohol and his vision to bring a new type of scotch to a new kind of drinker made this a compelling deep dive into brand building, innovation, and identity. FIOR isn't trying to be your grandfather's scotch. It's a bold, flavorful, and inclusive brand crafted for those who might have never considered sipping scotch before. Eric shares how he's breaking category conventions, embracing American culture while honoring Scotch tradition, and creating a brand that welcomes the “new wave” consumer. Whether you're a spirits enthusiast, a founder, or someone fascinated by modern brand storytelling, you'll find something inspiring in Eric's journey. Here are a few highlights from our conversation: * Why Eric calls FIOR a “cultural remix” of old-world Scotch and modern American vibes * The branding decisions that make FIOR feel more like streetwear than traditional spirits * How flavor, accessibility, and breaking rules are central to winning over a younger, more diverse audience * What Eric learned launching a premium alcohol brand without relying on the “usual suspects” of Scotch marketing * His candid reflections on risk, resilience, and trusting your gut as a first-time founder Join me, Ramon Vela, in listening to the episode and hear how Eric is shaking up one of the most traditional categories in spirits—and why the future of Scotch might just look a little different than the past. SummaryIn this episode, Chase and Chris talk about why you don't need to be perfect when tracking your food. They share stories from their own journeys and from their clients who thought they had to do everything just right. But really, tracking your meals “most of the time” is what helps you reach your goals. You'll learn how taking small steps, like tracking a few days a week or not worrying about hitting exact numbers, can actually get you further. They talk about making things simple, having meals you repeat, and why being flexible helps you stick with it longer. If you've ever felt like you had to “start over” every week, this episode will help you break that habit and keep going strong.Chapters(00:00) Welcome to Episode 2 of Macros Made Doable(01:10) The Perfectionism Trap in Tracking(02:20) Why One Off-Meal Leads to Giving Up(03:34) Chase's “Perfect Zeros” Story(05:25) Diet Rules and Macro Carryover(06:06) Old Beliefs About Perfection and Resetting(07:04) Shifting the Mindset: B-Minus Effort(08:27) Taking a Day Off from Tracking (the Right Way)(09:56) How to Dine Out Without Derailing Progress(11:56) What Untracked Days Should Look Like(12:58) Flexible Tracking Plans for Long-Term Clients(14:05) Repeat Meals = Simpler Tracking(14:59) Using Macros as a GPS, Not a Rulebook(15:28) Start with Weekday Tracking(15:42) Stepping Stones Over All-or-Nothing(17:06) Reducing Stress by Ditching Perfection(18:02) The Burnout and Restart Cycle(19:38) Macros as Just Data(21:48) Letting Go of the Weekly Weigh-In Pressure(22:34) Cruise Control vs. 150 MPH: A Client Story(24:01) Why Going Slower Can Mean More Progress(25:00) Sneak Peek: Real Client Story in Part 3SUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS to be answered on the show: https://forms.gle/B6bpTBDYnDcbUkeD7How to Connect with Us:Chase's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/changing_chase/Chris' Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/conquer_fitness2021/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/665770984678334/Interested in 1:1 Coaching: https://conquerfitnessandnutrition.com/1on1-coachingJoin The Fit Fam Collective: https://conquerfitnessandnutrition.com/fit-fam-collective

(00:01) Golf Rules and Fair Play This chapter kicks off with some lighthearted banter about Derby week in Louisville, Kentucky, and the coincidental horse names, Journalist and Publisher, which spark a humorous betting anecdote. Shifting gears to golf, we explore the complexities and often misunderstood nature of golf rules, especially those pertaining to the PGA Tour and the FedEx Playoffs. We question the fairness of giving the top 10 players a stroke advantage and ponder a potential rule change that would start all players at zero, likening it to NCAA tournament seedings. Finally, we address the confusion many amateurs face in distinguishing between one-stroke and two-stroke penalties, acknowledging the challenge of fully understanding golf's intricate rulebook. (11:07) Navigating Water Hazards in Golf This chapter takes a closer look at the differences between red and yellow penalty areas on a golf course, often referred to as hazards. We explore the nuances of each, including how they impact dropping options and gameplay. Red penalty areas, or lateral hazards, typically offer more flexibility, allowing players to drop the ball on either side of the hazard or move two club lengths away from where the ball last crossed the hazard line. Yellow penalty areas, however, are more restrictive, often requiring the player to play across the hazard, as seen in island greens. We also address common misconceptions, such as the belief that a ball only needs to touch the ground on the safe side to be playable, clarifying that it must come to rest there. Through examples like the TPC at Sawgrass and a former hole at Pine Tree Golf Club, we illustrate the practical application of these rules, emphasizing the importance of understanding them to avoid unnecessary penalties. (24:11) Understanding Golf Penalties and Rules This chapter focuses on the nuances of golf penalties and the importance of rule distinctions in the game. We explore how accidental infractions, like accidentally moving a ball to a better position, are addressed with a one-stroke penalty to prevent players from gaining an unfair advantage. Additionally, we discuss the two-stroke penalties for more serious violations, such as playing a wrong ball or from the wrong place, and the potential disqualification if a player fails to rectify the mistake before teeing off on the next hole. The conversation highlights the intricacies of golf rules and suggests bringing in a USGA rules official for future discussions to clarify these complex scenarios. The topic of how the game changes when the ball reaches the green is also introduced, setting the stage for further exploration. (34:13) Unfair Golf Rules Debate This chapter brings back the weekend golf discussions where we explore some of the rules that often irk us, especially the unfair penalty strokes. Jeff passionately shares his frustration about not being able to move a ball out of a divot in the fairway, a rule he finds unfair compared to others that allow for improving one's position in a penalty area. We examine the inconsistency in these rules and suggest that divots should be considered ground under repair, as it would make the game fairer. Additionally, we touch on the humorous yet serious side of rules, like the scenario where a player's ball accidentally falls off the tee, clarifying that intent to hit is required for a stroke to count. This leads us to discuss recent changes in rules regarding accidental ball movement, particularly once the ball is in play, highlighting the evolving nature of golf regulations. (41:47) Debate Over Golf Rules This chapter explores the ongoing debate about the USGA's rules of golf and their impact on both amateur and professional players. We discuss the contradictions within the rule book and the idea that amateurs make the rules for professionals, which some find perplexing. The conversation highlights the concept of bifurcation, where different rules could apply to amateurs and professionals, especially regarding equipment like golf balls. The idea of a professional tour creating its own set of rules is also considered, with an understanding that any changes would be widely communicated due to the sport's televised nature. We encourage listeners to familiarize themselves with the USGA rules by obtaining a rule book, emphasizing the importance of understanding the regulations while recognizing the debates surrounding them.

The 1.5% rally seen in the SPX today is something Logan Gilland considers a "snoozefest" compared to recent price action, though he labels it as a sign of health for markets. That doesn't mean volatility has vanished. Logan believes tariffs are "no way close to being done" and urges investors to brace for more policy changes surrounding them. Earnings season will also have question marks as Logan expects many CEOs to give muted guidance due to tariff uncertainty.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.
