"That Talk" the podcast is about self development and authenticity. My goal is with this podcast is to help people find, and be okay with who they truly are, without living in fear or judgment. Though my own experiences, I want to pave the way for others
In this episode I talk about drive and why it's more important to find then motivation. Through my 10 years in stunt riding I went though many psychological and emotional roller-coasters that changed what was pushing me though all the ups and downs we see in this game. I take you though the negative and positive drivers that helped me reach the pinnacle in my industry and how you can attach them to your passion.
After 10 years of stunt riding, achieving just about every goal I set when I was a young dumbass kid looking for a creative way to run from my mental battles I've learned a lot. I learned the finish line is not where you find what you're looking for, you find what you're looking for in the trenches. It's in the times that you have no idea what you're going to do and you're about to quit and for some reason you decide to keep pushing. It's when you run out of money and you have to find a way so you can get back to it. it's when you realize that what you're creating, you'd be willing to die for. That's what you're looking for, you're looking for something that you truly believe in, something that unlocks that obsession and grit within you. That's what the bike gave me. It gave me a great foundation for what was going to be the next thing for me. My family. Nothing could really prepare me for a the selfless identity shift that came onto me when my kids were born. I didn't know it would be so easy to give up something I once thought would be the beginning and end of my life.

I share my journey of building a personal brand and following on social media. This was a 10 year experiment that I'm just now starting to understand. I stared picking up major momentum by creating personalized experience for my audience, I take my audience though the process of how I became who I am today, HIGHLIGHTING the adversity and setbacks I overcame along the way. Sharing my come up and creating emotional/impactful content resinates the most.So many people over complicate content, YOU ARE THE CONTENT. Sharing your story is key to building a loyal following on social media. By being vulnerable and authentic, you can connect with your audience on a deeper level by showing them you were once in their shoes. This is the best way to create a personal brand that is relatable and attractive to people who follow you, brands that may want to work with you, and for your future endeavors.
Today I dove into my outlook on mission vs your purpose in life. I believe mission comes from the young egotistical motivation or self discovery and the need to prove you are someone in this world. This drive so powerful you push through all boundaries and obstacles. For the people that have reach their own self centered goals, many of us realize there is still something missing. I believe that something is to give back, in the form or teaching, helping, and sharing what worked for you. Enjoy!
One of the most powerful concepts I've used in my journey. I never have been the biggest, fastest, strongest smartest, but I ALWAYS showed up with the attitude that I'm not taking "no" for an answer. Because behind talent, behind advantages, behind resources, there's a guy that refuses to hear "no" and refuses to stop showing up when he hears it over and over. That guy 910 gets what he wants from his life, because you can't beat or get rid of someone that never quits. Don't take no for an answer.
A very powerful episode, I wanted to shine light on a very important topic about trauma and how it affects us long term. A lot of us commit to the ideas of our trauma and will even go as far as protecting and defending it with how to has changed us or made us development habits and personality traits even though we don't like what it has molded us into. We have to change our perspective to understand if we can find the answer of how we get though and become at peace with what life throws as us, we can share it to serve people and help them.
I sat down with motivational speaker and author Micheal Ivanov. Micheal has one of the most inspirational stories you will hear and some concepts that will change your perspective on life. I was very happy to have Micheal on the podcast because of messages and beliefs we share are closely aligned.
Today's podcast is giving some personal experience and insight on marriage, masculine and feminine energy, sex, and much more. We debate hot topics that have been brought up by fresh and fit podcast and Andrew tate. We wanted to discuss where we agree and disagree as far as individuals and as a married couple.
With so much that we battle in this journey of life, whatever you choose to pursue, make it meaningful. DO NOT give in to the idea that your passion can't be your vocation. Follow the truth within, find the thing that makes it easy not to quit!
New mindset. If we want different we gotta do different and think different. Understand that you are 1 of 1, you were created with intention, sent here for a mission, with a gift that will fulfill your purpose. Let's get it!!
Everyone you admire possesses two things, they use their experiences to serve others and they have a savage story that is told around the world. I encourage you guys to live your life as if you're writing a book or scripting a movie. You must understand the adversity is always the exciting part of the movie, it's only when the main character makes it out the other side that he becomes the hero. Come out the other side, be your own hero, then help others become theirs.
A long overdue guest on the podcast, my good friend James Storms is a 25 year old day trader and entrepreneur that made 1 million dollars in 3 month last year. As you guys know, the that talk podcast isn't about the accomplishments but the mindset though the adversity that these high performing people go though on their journey. The value given in this conversation is unmatched. Enjoy.
My idea and mindset behind why are have the uncontrollable urge to compare ourselves.
One man army mindset. Projecting your visions within yourself!
If you don't love what you do you will quit!!
This episode we're talking about 3 tips I have for dealing with adversity. 1. Don't give the problem the power2. Keep the end goal in mind3. You choose how the story endsReally listen and see how you can apply these 3 principles to your life. I really think it will help you in your situation.
All I ever hear from successful people is how much they sacrificed to get where they are. I get the concept but it can be confusing for others that haven't started the journey and understand what it truly takes to get where you want to be. That's why I came up with this idea of not sacrificing anything at all, but prioritizing your dreams and goals. Sacrifice means "to give up" in a world where you can have everything you ever dreamed of, why would you ever give up anything? Instead we give ourselves the power and choose whatever we want. When you truly do what something you don't have to give up anything. It becomes easy for you to choose your goals over anything else you once engaged in but was only a distraction to you. If you change your mindset to "I choose my goals over everything" you will no longer feel like you're missing out on anything. Wherever there is choice, there is power" - Nasty Nate
My guy Jean is a beast in every aspect of the word! He came from Mexico in search of the American dream. After going through major hardships that he says he put himself though. He decided to make the change of his life by taking full responsibility for where he was at, and where he truly wanted to be. He now owns a meal prepping company in Portland (PDX Meal Preps) and trades the Crypto currency market, you can even get mentored by him now! Crazy how far he has come in such short amount of time. I can't wait for his personal growth and our friendship to grow.
Even is a credit specialist and forex trader. His mission is to help people create investment opportunities using other peoples money! Is there a better way? He's on his way to create a empire by simply helping people take their power back using what they already have, but aiming at a different target. Great conversation!
D is a rapper, Entrepreneur, humanitarian, as you heard him say. D has been in the rap game for 10 years and he has had so many great experiences and opportunities it's unreal. Opening up for many of your favorite artists, and being involved in Paris fashion week. If you listen to D's music you can really tell how much he loves what he does. Theres there's something different about an artist that will stop at nothing to perfect their craft. D doesn't have to say that's what his goal is, we can tell. On an every day basis he's constantly motivating through social media by encouraging people to follow their dreams. We talk about the imaginary "island" feeling that we feel like we're on when we follow our dreams. You feel like you're crazy, mostly because everyone tells you you're crazy. You doubt yourself and you feel like folding. D's response to everyone else "respectfully, fuck y'all". Believe in yourself, because self is all you really have to make your vision come to life. Nobody else can see it.
My guy Edgar Castro! This episode was a long time coming. We talk about E's journey in his music which he took a break from, then started back again when he was diagnosed with cancer. My main interest was his mindset during his time at the hospital, how he was able to remain positive and stable mentally. This is a hard working, interesting guy! You will see him on stages!
Zach stopped by the studio today to have a conversation with me about mental health and breaking through what is all holding us back... ourselves. We talk about the similar things we've been though, and how we worked though them. As we work though the conversation we got to touch some topics where we have some different views and opening talk about them. The best thing I pulled from this conversation, YOU'VE ALWAYS HAD THE POWER.
I had to do a part 2 of "the story". Today I talk a little bit about how your mind will always MAKE YOU RIGHT. Whatever you think about will happen, is it magic? No. It comes with the behavior behind the thoughts. We have to be aware of our self talk for this exact reason. The best lesson I gave in my last episode was "your thoughts become your actions and you actions become your results". So that being said, our story is very important.
The StoryWe all have it running in our head about ourselves and every situation we encounter. Even the smallest situation can interrupt great self talk and turn it into something negative. What I've realized about my life is that my thoughts always bread my actions, and my actions always lead to my results. Whatever I was telling myself is what my life turned into. We always want to be "right" so whatever you're telling yourself you generally make come true. With that being said, the mind is inherently negative. We are trained to survive, so were are always looking for "what's wrong" in order to do so. The best way to change your life is to change how you think about yourself. Start small, you can use something you've written out like me or you can just start practicing by interrupting every negative thought that creeps through and replacing it with a positive one. It's not a difficult task, but it is ongoing and can get away from you very quickly from habit or unconscious behavior.
This episode I opened up with a question I got over an instagram post "How not to be a victim of your situation of circumstance" I came up with a few tips.1. Change your perspective about what is happening to you. Everything else falls after this.2. Ask yourself what is this doing FOR me. How can your current situation be helping you or molding you into who you are supposed to be. Adversity is place in our live to help us grow to the next level. See it that way.3. Take it as a challenge. You have already overcome everything that has ever tried to stop you, haven't you? Take this next situation as a challenge see what you're really made of. All of these steps are based on changing your perspective. Those tips are just different ways to do so.
Today we're talking about arguments. Why they happen, how to prevent them, and how to get through them. Caliah and I talk about what has helped us throughout our relationship, so we can help you. Caliah has so much knowledge when it comes to relationships and how to understand the person you wish to connect with. Come along with us to hear some tips to help you and your partner/ friends and family. We all need help with mastering how to communicate with one another, so we can all flourish.
Caliah and I have been wanting to do this for awile now. Talk about our struggles, how we worked though and help others in the process. We talk about how we met, what we were going though as individuals that gave us issues in our relationship. Caliah had issues with giving so much of herself only in hopes to get change from her partner. This ultimately let her to being more and more unfulfilled, until she realized she was unconsciously seeking transactional love and took the responsibility to make the change. I was dealing with issues of insecurity, thinking that every next woman I met was going to fix my problems. I was unhappy, I had issues I needed to deal with, I had to make me happy. We both made changes to make our relationship work. it hasn't been easy but it's worth it.
Caliah Denon: Mrs. Nasty Nate, Mrs. That Wasn't Shit, Mrs. Why Not Me. Caliah is a brilliant mind, what I love most about her is her ability to be comfortable enough to ask questions about things that have almost become unquestioned overtime. We talk about Covid 19, westernized medicine, anti depressants, depression/anxiety, self accountability and bits and pieces of our relationship. At the end of the episode she gives some tips on healing trauma, which most are what helped me start my journey.
This has been one I have wanted to do for a long time now. How can we as a generation of feelings and strong opinions connect with our parents that don't feel and think the same? You can't tell us shit, we know it all, we don't want advice. The change in perspective is where my relationship did a 180 with both my mom and dad. Tune in to see is anything resinates with you and your family.
This topic had me confused and very anxious. The constant need to be in the "know" has been blocking my creativity. How I also have expressed myself is talking about what I'm feeling. But with everyone being so judgmental about others opinions had me thinking twice. I realized that was making me apart of the "crowd' and I have never been. I am who I am, I think what I think and believe what I believe. My people will hear me.
In this episode I talk about how a lot of people live an unfulfilling life because we are so worried about judgment and the option of others. After many years of building up a "character" that isn't truly who we are, can we start over? how do we do it? come along with me for this talk.
Today's subject gets me juiced... I talk about that wasn't shit. Not a lot of people know what was going on in my life when I created that wasn't shit. Take a listen to hear the stories and the wisdom.
This week I wanted to shared about what I've been up to the last couple months during this pandemic/lockdown. I have gotten more done done in the last 3 months then I have gotten done in a year. I've rode more, produced more content, read more books, started a clothing line and a podcast. My goal when this starred was to not go back to a job, I'm staying committed and going all in.
This episode I talk about manifesting and the law of attraction. My opinions on manifesting and experiences I have with using it for goal setting and other areas of my life.
The first episode of the "That Talk" podcast. An introduction to myself (Nate Tanzman) and how I got the podcast name.
