Gaslit Nation has long warned that the test for our democracy is whether Jared and Ivanka will be investigated, and whether they will face any charges. Instead, they follow a long family tradition of using their immense illicit wealth to live above the law. In this week's bonus show, we respond to reports that New York Congressman and House Speaker hopeful Hakeem Jeffries secretly met with Kushner, the president's son-in-law, himself the son of a convicted felon, and the shadow secretary of state traveling the world while representing both the American taxpayer and his own grift. They claim Kushner doesn't have an official White House role, then why is he in the middle of every major geopolitical conflict, meeting with dictators and other kleptocrats? (It's the money!) News of the Jeffries/Kushner meeting set off a debate in this week's Gaslit Nation Salon over whether Jeffries is the right leader for Democrats in Congress during this dangerous time, who would be better positioned to replace him, and why we must demand accountability if we're ever going to rebuild our democracy. We are in the fight of our lives against a neofascist transnational crime syndicate obsessed with gutting your voting rights and turning the DOJ into a petty MAGA HOA. But if you think it's time to curl up and surrender in despair, here to wake you up is Maya Wiley, President and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and the daughter of relentless Civil Rights organizers, to break down exactly how we defeat this authoritarian coup. The MAGA mob is breaking laws and shredding democratic norms for one simple reason: they are absolutely terrified of our collective power. Maya's parents faced down the exact same terror during the Civil Rights Era, landing on Nixon's enemies list while fighting off a corrupt government, and they won. Maya carries their legacy, reminding us that despair is the oppressor's weapon. Her message is a powerful call-to-action: organized joy, relentless community building, and "fighting forward" are how we create the next era of civil rights. They want you exhausted and apathetic, but we will rebuild our democracy. Gen Z, you especially have the sheer numbers to help stop the coup if you show up for the kind of world you want to live in and flex your power. What if the thing that is going to change your career is not the next certification, the next platform, or the next viral moment - but getting ruthlessly honest about what you actually are? Ashley Stahl had tear gas in her eyes in Istanbul when she got the email inviting her to give a TEDx talk. She had never given a speech in her life. She propped her iPhone against a bathroom mirror, recorded herself talking, and called it a speaking reel. She got the gig. And what followed is one of the most honest frameworks for personal branding, career clarity, and trusting your own gifts that this show has ever featured.SUMMARY & GUEST INTROIf you have been trying to build your brand by showing up everywhere and it is slowly draining the life out of you, Ashley Stahl has a different instruction. She started her career in counterterrorism under the Obama Administration, gave her very first speech ever on the TEDxBerkeley stage, and went from no speaker reel to a coaching waitlist overnight. Her second TEDx talk got 8,000 views in its first year and then two million the next - for no identifiable reason other than it was exactly what she had to say. She is the bestselling author of You Turn: Get Unstuck, Discover Your Direction, and Design Your Dream Career, the founder of Wise Whisper Agency - which has helped clients generate over 30 million YouTube views from TEDx talks alone - and she is here to tell you that the internet rewards specificity, not volume. Pick your island. Say what you have to say. Say it loud. Then let it carry you.INSIDE THE EPISODEShe Had Tear Gas in Her Eyes When She Got the TEDx Email. Ashley was sitting in a government protest in Taksim Square in Istanbul when her friend texted: 'Hey, I got you a TEDx talk.' She had never spoken publicly in her life. She googled 'speaking reel,' filmed herself on an iPhone in a bathroom, and sent it in. She got the gig. This is what saying yes before you are ready actually looks like. You Don't Find Your Purpose. You Come Upon It. Most people treat purpose like a destination. Ashley says it is a calibration. The people who really figure it out do not have linear careers. They have been in the experiment. They have used every chapter as a vehicle to get clearer on their gifts - even when the chapter looked completely wrong from the outside. The Personal Brand Island Framework. The internet is not one place. It is islands - TEDx, podcasting, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Substack. Most people try to build on all of them at once and burn out producing content they do not believe in. Ashley's instruction: pick one island, master it for a year, build a workflow, and move to the next one only when you are ready.Your Money Follows Your Gift. Ashley knows she is a writer. All her money is word money. If you look at where your income is actually coming from, it will tell you more about your real skillset than any assessment ever could. Pick platforms that let your gift lead, not platforms that require a gift you do not have.8,000 Views. Then Two Million. Ashley's second TEDx got almost no traction in year one. She knew it was her best work. She did not change a thing. Year two: two million views. The lesson is not about the algorithm. It is about consistency and commitment being almost impossible to sustain if you do not actually believe in what you are saying.Your Intuition Can Only See 0.01% of What Is Real. Humans see 0.0035% of the electromagnetic spectrum. We cannot see radio waves, microwaves, infrared, X-rays, gamma. And yet most of us make all our decisions based on what we can prove with our 0.01% eyeballs. Ashley makes the case that intuition is not woo. It is an intelligence system. And ignoring it is as absurd as insisting radio waves do not exist because you cannot see them.If You're Walking Through Hell, Keep Walking. Churchill. Don't change your postal code for your bad feelings. Ashley's entire framework for getting through the hard chapters of life and career is this: sit in the feeling, extract the lesson, and keep moving. Victim mode is an alarm - a signal to get curious, not to stay stuck.RESOURCES & LINKSWise Whisper Agency: https://wisewhisperagency.com/Book: You Turn: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1950665690Ashley on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ashleystahl/Ashley on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ashleystahl/ ERICA'S RESOURCES & LINKSStart small with me inside HER Jumpstart:https://her-collective.mn.co/plans/1985289?bundle_token=60b2c61d62213cdbd16d437cdc0e4204&utm_source=manual
Thomas Campbell - physicist, systems analyst, consciousness researcher, and creator of My Big TOE (Theory of Everything) - reveals how reality may be far stranger than we've been taught. In this episode of Mayim Bialik's Breakdown, Thomas explains why he believes consciousness is the fundamental information system that computes reality itself, and what that means if we're living inside a kind of virtual reality. He shares how legendary consciousness pioneer Bob Monroe personally taught him remote viewing, out-of-body experiences, telepathy, and consciousness exploration, and why these abilities may be natural human capacities rather than supernatural phenomena.Thomas also breaks down how changing your intent can literally change probabilities, how meditation strengthens consciousness, why healing may be the easiest psychic ability to develop, and how he learned to heal - including the remarkable story of helping a baby diagnosed with brain cancer, while explaining why some illnesses may still serve an important purpose in our evolution. We explore why lowering our entropy is the key to personal growth, how fear causes both individuals and civilizations to descend into chaos, and why love, cooperation, and stronger human connection are the driving forces behind consciousness evolution. We also cover:- What happens if we're all individuated pieces of one larger consciousness- How our reality is "rendered", and whether that rendering can change during healing- Why dogs appear to possess stronger telepathic abilities than humans- Why awareness differs across species and what that says about consciousness itself- How to strengthen intention through meditation and focused awareness- Why setting energetic boundaries may matter if consciousness is fundamentally interconnected- How to connect with another person's consciousness- Why most people never develop their intuitive abilities- Why there are so many different paths and modalities for accessing intuition- Why many nonspeaking autistic individuals may rely on rituals that help them access telepathic communicationWhether you're interested in simulation theory, quantum consciousness, remote viewing, telepathy, healing, meditation, intuition, or the future of human potential, this conversation challenges conventional assumptions about reality, and explores what may be possible when consciousness itself becomes the starting point!Thomas Campbell's paper, audio and e-books, My Big TOE, are available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and his main product, Exploring Consciousness and Everything Paranormal and audio files are on his website: https://www.my-big-toe.com/shop/mbt-product-overview/Regulate your nervous system with Nuropod, an ear based wearable built on 10+ years of neuroscience research. Donald Trump and Eva Braun Natalie Harp are trying to escape us in his ballroom bunker while Kremlin operative Paul Manafort's former lawyer, Todd Blanche, destroys lives. Blanche's DOJ illegally persecuted the Prairie Land defendants Soviet-style, condemning them to sweltering Texas prisons for protesting ICE, which is their Constitutionally protected right. In this week's bonus show Gaslit Nation provides a step-by-step guide on how to write letters of solidarity to the Prairieland Defendants. Longtime Gaslit Nation listener Bethany McKee provided a handy presentation here and in the show notes on how to do so that you can write letters whenever is convenient for you. The conversation also includes a discussion with Finale Norton and Katherine White of the grassroots powerhouse Network NoVA and their 10th Women's Summit happening this weekend in Tysons Corner, Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. Who's scarier than Donald Trump? J.D. Vance, a true believer in America's tech-dystopian future, and he's one heartbeat away from the presidency. This week, independent journalist Gil Durán joins us to discuss his explosive new book, The Nerd Reich: Silicon Valley Fascism and the War on Democracy–the book Mark Zuckerberg doesn't want you to read. (Duran has been blocked and blacklisted from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) Duran exposes how billionaire oligarchs like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk are weaponizing crypto, mass surveillance tools like Palantir and Flock cameras, and extreme wealth to overthrow our democracy. Their most dangerous trojan horse is JD Vance. Vance is the kind of opportunist who made the Third Reich possible. In our chilling interview, Durán discusses how Vance is a true believer in tech-fascism and entirely a "creation of Peter Thiel." From fantasizing about purging the civil service to openly defying the courts, Vance is prepared to go much further than wrecking ball Trump could manage. We cannot let billionaires buy our government. Support fearless independent journalism by pre-ordering The Nerd Reich today and supporting shows like Gaslit Nation, and tune in to the full episode to learn how we can fight back! The brilliant Wajahat Ali, author of Go Back to Where You Came From, and playwright of The Domestic Crusaders, had me on The LeftHook to share my new book A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women: 20 Steps to Find Your Purpose and Power in a World on Fire. Watch or listen to the full discussion on how to overcome the very real and urgent threat of fascism. (Side note: In France, Marine Le Pen is campaigning for president wearing an ankle monitor, following in the footsteps of her fellow Russian asset, the convicted felon/Epstein wing-man). Trump is doing to our country what he did to the East Wing of our White House. How do we rebuild from the wreckage? That's what A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women is about. It's for anyone tired of Steve Bannon trying to demoralize us and flood the zone with sh*t. It's about concrete steps to stay grounded and focused in a world of chaos, to align your deepest needs and dreams with a higher purpose, creating world domination for the collective good. My own journey begins with being raised on stories of the government trying to kill you, and blame you for the crime, helped by Western corruption to cover-up the torture and murder. I am of course speaking of my Ukrainian heritage and the Holodomor, Stalin's genocide famine in Ukraine. In all my years of studying my family's history and the two monsters, Hitler and Stalin, who drove that history, I look back on America's own, and see the authoritarianism that established this country. The white supremacy blood lust terrorizing Black Americans, Native Americans, mass discrimination and violence against immigrants, and the list goes on. Trump, Stephen Miller, Peter Thiel, and too many others carry on that violent legacy. That's why they're aligned with the Kremlin, which sees Ukrainians as inferior. In Ukrainian culture, we're taught to fight for our very lives, our voice, our art, our culture, our language, because no one else will. They want to erase us, so we must do the opposite and shine, shine, shine. In Ukrainian culture, art is literally survival. The coded language of poetry preserves historical truth, our shared humanity, our courage and defiance. Life is incredibly stubborn. Creativity is how we fortify our resilience. A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women provides 20 concrete steps for women–who are the favorite target of fascists, because they fear the fight in us–and their allies–to dream big for themselves and the kind of world we want to live in. That is how we reset the culture, overcome their darkness with our light, and gather our people to create a better world. We are the alternative to their dystopian vision for our future, a future that belongs to us. To better get to new my new and most personal book, I put together this Q&A: Empowerment can be a privilege. Many nonwhite women, especially immigrants, are juggling several jobs just to survive. How does this book make space for different lived experiences A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women is based on my own lived experience of being raised in a Ukrainian immigrant family. My grandmothers both worked as maids to survive. So I take nothing for granted when it comes to the diversity of demands on women today. Throughout the book, I share wisdom and insights from women across history. There's also a recommended reading guide in the book, featuring an incredible list of women authors, like Mikki Kendall and trans activist Raquel Willis. I also share a troubling story about a Black mentor telling me to get a white man to join me for my pitch meetings and just sit there. I'm sad to say it did make a difference. Planting seeds of hope and change – whether that's through launching a dream project like a film, book, business, non-profit, or some other ambitious goal – can be a grind. Does this book highlight organizations on the frontlines doing that unglamorous work in the shadows, helping us build that collective power? Yes, absolutely! And I made sure that the blurbs (endorsements) featured at the front of the book included voices from grassroots groups, to promote their efforts to a wider audience. Julie Delaurier of Rise and Resist began as an organizer in ACT UP and helped organize Tesla Takedown and No Kings. She also organizes to track and resist ICE raids in NYC. She read the book and provided a heartfelt endorsement. So did civil rights leader Maya Wiley, President of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and Holley Atkinson of the grassroots group the Media and Democracy Project bringing legal challenges to the existence of Fox News. Isn't self-help ego-driven? A Reasonable Guide is all about collective action. Individual choices produce collective action. Think of A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women as Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way meets Timothy Snyder's On Tyranny. Self-knowledge isn't the end goal here; it's the foundation for knowing where you can make an impact. It cites women across movements and their advice on how to stay creative and build power in a time of mass destruction. But isn't this focus on the self just new age nonsense which is a slippery slope to fascism, given reports of new age online movements being breeding grounds for fascist cult recruitment? This book follows an ancient tradition of taking on an empire with the power of ideas. Ideas cannot be killed. And you cannot stop an idea whose time has come. Know thyself was popularized by the ancient Greeks, most famously by Socrates who was a champion of women for that time. The Greeks were conquered by the sadistic and corrupt Roman Empire. A couple hundred years later, the Greeks conquered them right back through the power of self-knowledge and ideas. Greek became the dominant language of the Roman Empire. Self-knowledge is not ego. The book walks you through steps to think creatively and conquer doubt in order to build meaningful collective action. I had to produce my film Mr. Jones myself because no one wanted it. Mr. Jones was a film to bring historical justice and truth to a massive genocide by the Kremlin, covered up for generations, including with the help of Western corruption. A former Ambassador to Ukraine called Mr. Jones Ukraine's Schindler's List. A screening was shut down in Moscow, and Memorial, Russia's once largest NGO that dared to screen it, was liquidated. There were death threats and harassment during the making of the film, but still the team and I fought on, holding on to the power of our creativity and voices. That is what A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women is about: remembering the power of your voice in a world that wants to silence you and kill you. It's also a damn good time. I hope you will consider checking it out and pre-ordering A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women, which helps build buzz in the industry and gets the word out. Thank you to everyone who has supported my work over the years. It means so much.

What do you do when life changes in an instant—and the future you expected disappears? Advocate, activist and author Katie Piper explains how she rebuilt her life after surviving an acid attack on a London street at 24 driven by a man she'd briefly dated. It's a special conversation about resilience, personal reinvention and leading through adversity. You'll learn: -Why real confidence comes from knowing you can adapt and recover -The importance of accepting situations as they are, and releasing expectations -How to see challenge as a way to recommit to your purpose -How acceptance, discomfort and a self-authored identity can help you start again -Why vulnerability and empathy are strengths in leadership Katie Piper is a bestselling author, television presenter and founder of the Katie Piper Foundation, which supports burn survivors through rehabilitation. She is also a survivor of male violence and an advocate for people with burns and visible differences. The session opened with a reading of Psalm 149, emphasizing humility, praise, and divine victory. Michael then drew a parallel between marketing language (e.g., "extra fresh") and broader societal pressures that discourage critical thinking. The central message: individuals must actively filter media and consumer messaging to pursue genuinely meaningful, experience-based happiness rooted in faith rather than material acquisition.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-love-trust--3493635/support.
America's oligarchs are selling the country for parts. What happens when the people finally reach a breaking point? This week, Gaslit Nation is joined by Casey Michel, author of the new book United States of Oligarchy, for a chilling, and ultimately empowering, look at how extreme wealth, floods of money from our foreign adversaries, and decades of dismantled anti-corruption laws brought American democracy to the brink. Michel is a longtime investigator of kleptocracy and authoritarian influence sanctioned by Russia. His new book examines how America's wealthiest people have allied themselves with dictators while weakening democracy at home as major law firms and media jump aboard the gravy train. At the center of our conversation is oligarchy poster child Jared Kushner and his extraordinary record of failing upward: from buying and hollowing out the once-revered New York Observer, to the disastrous $1.8 billion purchase of the ominous 666 Fifth Avenue, to the billions in foreign sovereign wealth invested in his private-equity firm after his years shaping American foreign policy–a grift he continues today as our shadow Secretary of State. Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund invested $2 billion in Kushner's Affinity Partners shortly after he left the White House, even after the fund's own advisers reportedly raised serious concerns about the firm. Kushner had cultivated a close relationship with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), who killed dissident and Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi. Kushner even reportedly passed on sensitive intel about Khashoggi to MBS. Casey explains how corporations accumulated political power, how post-Watergate anti-corruption reforms were dismantled, and why today's concentration of wealth makes the original Gilded Age look quaint. Most importantly, we discuss the reforms that could break oligarchic power and how ordinary people can take back the country from the Epstein Class. Listen or watch now for a clear-eyed guide to who bought America, how they did it, and how we take it back. In this week's bonus show, our conversation continues with the practical question: How do we smash an oligarchy? Casey examines the pressure building beneath America's kleptocratic system, the reforms still available to us, and what history tells us happens when ruling elites refuse to change. Despair is what oligarchs want. Welcome, gorgeous souls, to Episode 443 of Aligned Abundance! ✨This week, I'm joined by Nikita Thakrar for a fascinating conversation about moving from Karma to Dharma, breaking the patterns that keep us stuck and discovering the deeper purpose and direction behind our lives.Nikita shares what it really means to live in alignment with your Dharma and how we can begin to recognise when we've become disconnected from our purpose. We explore why our greatest struggles, wounds and recurring life lessons can often hold clues about the path we're here to walk, why healing doesn't have to mean endlessly trying to "fix" ourselves, and how connecting to a greater sense of purpose can completely change the way we approach our healing journey. Here's what you'll discover in this week's episode:What moving from Karma to Dharma really means and how to recognise your own DharmaThe signs that you may be living out of alignment with your purposeWhy your struggles, wounds and recurring patterns could hold clues about the path you're here to walkPractical tools to help you reconnect with your purpose and begin living in greater alignmentThis episode is a beautiful reminder that the patterns and challenges we experience aren't always here to keep us stuck - sometimes, they can become the very things that guide us forward. When we stop focusing solely on fixing what's wrong and begin asking what wants to be expressed through us, we can start to see our experiences differently, break the cycles we've outgrown and move towards a life that feels more authentic and aligned.Don't forget to share your biggest takeaways with me on Instagram @iamemmamumfordVisit Nikita's website: https://journeywithnikita.com/-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Explore More Ways to Manifest Your Dream Life...
2026-08-02 : Craig Cooper – How to Find Your Purpose
The Learning Leader Show with Ryan Hawk www.LearningLeader.com This is brought to you by Insight Global. If you need to hire one person, hire a team of people, or transform your business through Talent or Technical Services, Insight Global's team of 30,000 people around the world has the hustle and grit to deliver. My Guest: Jack Raines is a writer and investor. At 24, he quit his corporate finance job at UPS, bought a one-way ticket to Barcelona, and spent the next year traveling through 25 countries while writing a newsletter that grew to hundreds of thousands of readers. He went on to earn an MBA from Columbia, help build Sherwood News at Robinhood, and join the venture capital firm Slow Ventures, where he invests in creators. His first book, Young Money: A Field Guide to Finding Wealth and Purpose in Your Twenties, is out now. Key Learnings Jack's Grandma Ruth took him to Africa when he was 11. She was in her late 60s. She had the money. She said: "I can spend it on you now or leave it to you when I'm dead. This is better." Money has no value until you exchange it for something. We need to decide what we want that to be. Every year of your 20s is worth $10 million. (Nikita Bier) You'll never have this window of flexibility again. Say yes to interesting experiences in your 20s. Your income is going to climb exponentially anyway. Don't save $500 at the cost of a memory. Move to where the action is. Jack moved to New York for business school. Then San Francisco for a job. Then back to New York. High slope of learning. High slope of contact with good people. Network amplifies ability. It doesn't create it. A million times zero is still zero. A million times two is two million. The only real risk is not doing anything. Every opportunity in life comes through a person. The best networking tool is doing great work. How did Gracie Abrams open for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour? She wrote great music. Taylor noticed. Taylor called. In your 20s, potential is valued at a premium. In your 30s and beyond, proof of work matters more. Experimenting when you are young speed-runs the learning curve. You develop the skill of taking shots. That skill compounds. It's much harder to start being risk-on at 35 if you weren't risk-on at 25. Personal finance is simple. Spend less than you make. Build a six-month emergency fund. Take the 401(k) match. Contribute to your IRA. Don't gamble on individual stocks. Stay invested. Stay employed. Don't go into credit card debt. Don't get divorced. User error interrupts compounding more than anything else. Set up the boring foundation. Then stop touching it. Most retirees never touch the principal. (Nick Maggiulli) They stack money out of fear, then die with more than they started with. Daniel Kahneman on loss aversion: the pain of losing $100 is twice as strong as the joy of gaining $100. That's why people over-save. Your burn rate at 70 is way lower than at 45. No kids at home. No tuition. Less energy to do stuff. Plan accordingly. Bill Perkins' Die with Zero philosophy... A useful insight was in the first chapter: his best friend took a payday loan at 23 to backpack Europe for three months. Same career trajectory as Bill. Just way more fun at 24. People don't want to think about their mortality. So they focus on making the number go up. If you actually internalized that you're going to die, you'd be more intentional about your time and money. Jack's champagne moment a year from now: He sells a ton of copies of it. And it's still relevant. Reflection Questions Where are you spending your best years earning money you'll never actually enjoy? What would change if you accepted that your peak-energy window is closing? Where are you standing still because the risk of moving feels bigger than the risk of staying? What does the only real risk (not doing anything) look like in your life right now? What is the great work you could do that would make the right person notice you? Wear your Sunday best and hang out at the U.S. Capitol building for your chance to chat with a member of Congress. It's a realistic way to meet the people who owe their jobs to our tax dollars, as Andrea explains–based on her own experience–in this week's bonus show. But beware of the sociopathically ambitious, dead-inside Congressional staffers enabling Mitch McConnell, and, before him, Dianne Feinstein, to cling to power long after it was time to step down. The rest of this week's bonus show, available in full to our Patreon, Substack, and YouTube members who power Gaslit Nation, is the recording of Monday's salon. The discussion includes Andrea meeting up with Tori Amos after her show on her tour for her new powerful album In Times of Dragons, with songs like "Shush" about MeToo thanking Courtney Love for being early warning the world about Harvey Weinstein; why the DNC may be running out of money and going into debt–even though blue wave elections have ripped through the country since Trump returned to power. And we also discuss how to tell fact from fiction in the disinformation war driven by Russia in its war on Ukraine and all democracies. We look forward to bringing you important discussions in the coming weeks, including Casey Michel, a kleptocracy expert sanctioned by Russia and author of the new book the United States of Oligarchy: How America's Wealthiest Ally with Dictators, Weaken the U.S., and Destroy Democracy and Maya Wiley, President of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the largest civil rights coalition in America, on how we expand the power of the vote–before it's too late. Sending FBI Director Kash Patel to Moscow right before the Midterms is like sending a coked-up frat boy into a whorehouse in hell, and the FSB will eat him alive. As Trump pushes the SAVE Act to disenfranchise millions, is he calling in Russian reinforcements to steal Congress? Can we overcome a gutted Voting Rights Act, MAGA poll taxes, and Russian cyber warfare and disinformation brainrotting? Yes. By treating our vote as sacred and doing the unglamorous, powerful grassroots work that wins elections–and ensured Zohran Mamdani defeated Andrew Cuomo not once, but twice. We deserve nice things–but we must work for them. That's how progress gets made. Our heroes who came before us felt demoralized and tired, too. Andrea's new book, A Reasonable Guide for Unreasonable Women: 20 Steps to Find Your Purpose and Power in a World on Fire, shares some of their stories and insights. We can put an end to Trump and Putin's dreams of turning America into a Russian-style oligarchy by remembering our power. On this week's show, we're joined by comedian and activist Pete Dominick of the Stand Up with Pete Dominick podcast. We break down the Epstein files, media intimidation, and the growing resistance to authoritarianism. In our bonus show, available exclusively for our Patreon and Substack supporters, we name names of who in the media enabled Trump's rise, and Pete shares what it was like trolling Trump to his face on The Apprentice. We refuse to let them steal our future and our children's futures. Come discuss this and more at the Gaslit Nation Salon this Monday at 4pm ET. Derek Rydall returns for Part 2 with the answer hidden inside your core wound, your lived experience, and the life code that no algorithm can ever replicate.Derek Rydall has lost a son, a fortune, a marriage, and his sense of self more than once, and came back each time with more clarity, not less. In this episode, he makes the full case for why AI is not simply a technology story. It is a meaning and identity crisis unlike anything humanity has faced before. He breaks down why the very disruption you fear may be the initiation you were made for, explains the core wound as the gateway to your greatest purpose, and shares what writing A Whole New Human truly cost him on a soul level.Dwight opens with a deeply personal reflection on grief and the perennial plant that dies in the fall and returns stronger in spring. Together they explore service as the master pattern of awakening, the monastery story, and why the goal you are not yet capable of achieving is exactly the right goal. What you will learn in this episode:Why the real danger of AI is not job loss but the loss of human meaning and purposeWhat your life code is and why AI can never replicate itHow the core wound functions as a core initiation into your truest purposeWhy self-improvement is an oxymoron and what to do insteadWhat Derek's attempt to live as a monk revealed about who he was meant to beWhy the goal you are not yet capable of achieving is the right goalWhat writing A Whole New Human cracked open that Derek did not expectConnect with Derek Rydall:Website: https://derekrydall.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DerekRydall-YourLegendaryLifeLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/derekrydallFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/DerekRydall/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drydall/Twitter / X: https://x.com/derekrydallConnect with Dwight Heck and the Give A Heck Podcast:Website: https://www.giveaheck.comPodcast Page: https://www.giveaheck.com/podcastYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@giveaheckFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/dwight.heckInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/give.a.heckLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dwight-heck-65a90150/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@giveaheckTwitter / X: https://twitter.com/give_a_heckWork With Me / Be a Guest: https://www.giveaheck.com/work-with-me

In this sermon, Pastor Rick teaches that lasting fulfillment comes from discovering and pursuing God's purpose rather than chasing temporary success, relationships, possessions, or achievements. Using Jeremiah 29:11 and the life lessons of Solomon, he challenges believers to align their lives with God's assignment, recognize the influences shaping their purpose, and evaluate whether they are producing the results God intended.

What do you do when the role that defined you disappears? Many people struggle with mental health challenges not just because of trauma, stress, or anxiety—but because they've lost a sense of identity and purpose. In this episode of Normalize The Conversation, host Francesca Reicherter sits down with Jeremy Stalnecker to explore how identity, purpose, and hope shape our mental wellbeing.Jeremy shares his personal journey transitioning from the United States Marine Corps into civilian life—and the unexpected emotional struggle that followed. Where do I fit now? Why am I here?Together, Francesca and Jeremy unpack how identity loss can impact mental health—from military transition to career shifts, life changes, and even the pressure young adults face when figuring out who they want to become. This conversation explores:Why identity loss can feel like hopelessnessThe difference between who you are and what you doHow purpose can create resilience during difficult seasonsWhy negative environments (including social media) shape our self-perceptionHow community, mentors, and self-reflection help us rediscover meaningJeremy also shares practical ways to begin reconnecting with your sense of purpose—from identifying your strengths to asking meaningful questions about what motivates and energizes you.If you've ever felt lost, uncertain about your future, or disconnected from your sense of purpose, this episode offers a compassionate and grounded perspective on how to move forward. Because mental health isn't just about managing thoughts—it's also about finding meaning in the life you're living.
If you feel like there is something missing, like you are drifting rather than truly living, this episode is for you. I remember at a low point in my life, feeling lost, Googling "how to find your purpose." I did not find the answer there. A mentor of mine used to open talks on purpose by telling a room of two hundred people: you cannot find your purpose by coming to talks like this. Purpose is not something outside you that you need to find. It is something you realise from the inside. There is a story I love of Nasruddin, the wise fool of Sufi tales, racing frantically through the streets of Baghdad on his donkey, looking for his donkey. When we search outside ourselves for purpose, for a feeling of meaning, for the life we are meant to live, we are doing exactly that. Looking in the wrong place. The work is not to search harder. Your purpose is innate. The more you live from your true self, the more it gets revealed, one small breadcrumb at a time. I trained as a therapist purely for fun, with no intention of making it my career. Halfway through the course, I realised: I think this is what I am meant to be doing. You do not need to burn your life down to find your purpose. You just need to come back home to yourself.

On today's episode, I'm joined by Mark Manson, New York Time's bestselling author and creator, to talk about how to stop caring what other people think and start building a life rooted in purpose. We dive into the psychology behind why we're so preoccupied with others' opinions, including the “spotlight effect,” and how that fear keeps so many people stuck. Mark shares why the goal isn't to stop caring entirely, but to care more about what truly matters, and how to figure out what you're actually willing to be disliked for. We also discuss how to build self-belief through small wins, why purpose doesn't have to come from your career, and how to create a more balanced, meaningful life without tying your identity to one thing. If you have ever felt held back by fear of judgment or unsure of your direction, this episode is for you.
