Oh, the Places You'll Go November 16-17, 2024 Genesis 39:19 – 41:14 Philippians 1:3-6 Sometimes we find ourselves in difficult and impossible places. We can still have a heart of gratitude. 2 Corinthians 12:9 Ephesians 2:1-10 Philippians 4:4 We can be thankful and rejoice because: 1. The place we are in does not dictate our relationship with God. Psalm 34:18 2. The place we are in does not determine our relationship with others. 3. God uses every place to shape us for His purpose.

People Along the Way Gratitude Adjustment November 9-10, 2024 Genesis 39:1-23 People along the way in life's journey can be some of the greatest challenges in our life. We need to learn to trust and thank God for those people. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Romans 12:1-2 Philippians 4:6-7 We can be thankful in all circumstances because a transformed heart sees above betrayal, disappointment and our present situation. 1. A transformed heart sees God's steadfast love above betrayal of others. Matthew 10:22 I can thank God, even when I've been betrayed by someone because His steadfast love never fails. 2. A transformed heart sees God's faithfulness above the disappointment of others. Deuteronomy 31:6 1 Thessalonians 5:24 I can thank God, even in disappointment because He is always faithful. 3. A transformed heart focuses on the presence of God above present circumstances. I can thank God in my current situation when I recognize His presence. God's purpose is always people, and we can make an impact on people along the way.

Broken Dreams Series: Gratitude Adjustment November 2-3, 2024 Genesis 37:1-30 God's purpose is bigger than the circumstances we can find ourselves in. God can be trusted. Even when the dream is playing out like a nightmare. 1. Consider the source of our dreams. God will not give a dream that is contrary to His word, heart, or character. 2. What is my response to the dream? 3. God reconciles broken dreams. Our choice: Trust God. Adjust our gratitude toward Him. Submit to Him.

More Than Series: Impact 2024 October 19-20, 2024 Acts 6:1-8 Serving is always more than a task. Problems, even good ones, provide opportunity to examine ourselves and ministry. Problems help exercise faith in the Lord and in others. Problems provide an opportunity to express love. The result: The church was unified, and God multiplied! 1. Impact happens when we are led by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Ephesians 4:11-14 2. Impact happens when we are listening to God. Am I asking God to reveal my place of serving Him by serving others? 3. Impact happens when we choose to obey God's call. Acts 6:6-7 Acts 6:8

Series: Enduring Words September 21-22, 2024 John 17:1–26 The High Priestly Prayer offers a deep insight into Jesus heart and mission. Jesus prays for himself. Jesus prays for his disciples. Jesus prays for all future believers. Jesus prays for unity, sanctification, and mission. Showing us eternal life is knowing and glorifying God together. 1. Jesus prays for our unity. John 13:34-35 Our love for each other is a divine reflection of God's love. 2. Jesus prays for our sanctification. We are set apart from the world for God's purpose. 3. Jesus prays for our mission. What are we showing the world in our words and actions? Let's be a church on mission to see more people glorifying God. Let's be the people Jesus is praying for.

Series: Enduring Words September 14-15, 2024 John 16:16–33 Jesus is speaking hope. Even when things look bleak and dark, Jesus promises hope. 1. Hope is finding beauty in the mess. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 2. Prayer connects our heart with the hope of God. Luke 22:42 If prayer aligns our will with God's, then our needs change to align with His purpose. Hebrews 12:2 3. Hope leads us in peace. Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of God no matter the conflict. Even in our darkest moments of sorrow and weeping Jesus offers peace, joy, hope... Himself. Jesus asks the question: "Do you now believe?"

Series: Enduring Words September 7-8, 2024 John 16:4–15 Help: Concerning sin. Concerning righteousness. Concerning judgment. There is no salvation without the Spirit's conviction. As disciples we have a big mission, and we have to have help. Jesus sent the Helper to help us! We ask for help! 1. Asking for help places my dependency on God, not myself. 2. Asking for help reveals who I really am. 3. Asking for help reveals the path of truth. Where the Holy Spirit is at work, there must be truth. Need help? All we have to do is ask.

Alec Jacks (9-1-24) 1. Jesus calls us out of different backgrounds. (2 Timothy 1:5) - We can consider how our background shaped us without forgetting that God is using it for good. - The Gospel is bigger than our background. - We are all someone else's background. 2. Jesus calls us to pour into the next generation. (2 Timothy 1:6-7, Titus 2:1-6, Deut 6:4-9 ) 3. Jesus calls us to guard what he entrusts us with. (2 Timothy 1:12-14) - Stewardship is an invitation to trust God. - We can experience the discipleship of a Paul, and the joy of discipling a Timothy. - We are each building a legacy we will be remembered for. How is God calling you to engage the next generation in this season of your life?
