Adam get's Murray to get involved in a “Learning Based Project”   Did your parents get involved in your school projects?   Todd: Yes..My Mom “the English Teacher” usually did.  BUT I loved it!  She made my papers A+++'s!  She would type my papers out (cuz she was a fast typer).    My Mom is super creative..So even in Elementary school, I had cool/different projects than my peers. Taras: My Mom always helped. One time we spent hours constructing a replica of the empire state building. Later, when the party gets out of control, Beverly jumps to the rescue and Lainey is happy to have a mother figure like Beverly in her life, but for how long? Goldberg Chris Bishop September 23rd 1980-something I love how Murray says “I can't hear what Jake is saying to the Fatman” You ever date or have a love interest that was long distance?  Kids nowadays don't realize the difficulty of trying to communicate via long distance Todd:  Yes.  But we'd write letters mostly.  Can you kids now actually fathom the idea of waiting 2 weeks for every text response??? lol!!! Could any younger fans handle a:  “What was it like to live in the ‘80s” We write to set up a date and time to call, because my parents would FREAK OUT if they saw an unauthorized long distance bill.   Bev becomes Laney's Temp Mom You ever have a friends parents act or be your temp parents?  Going on vacation with a friends etc? Todd:  Kinda..I went on one trip with one of my best friends Justin.  I can't remember what we did, but it involved someone tracking us down to where we were staying and hem confronting his parents about whatever we did.  Justin's Dad yelled at both us us..and at one point told me not to hide behind Justin, lol.  I had never been yelled at by someone else's parent before..ha!   Outsmarting the phone company……(ad-ababy-it's-a-boy)

Beverly is livid and brow beats the teacher in charge to change his mind. After the family watches Barry's routine, everyone wonders whether he will be able to pull off the performance… or crack under pressure. Meanwhile, Erica gets coerced from Pops to also perform in the talent show, but will she?   December 9th 1980-something Taras tells how he was a “Rebel Without a Cause” in high school.  He didn't need to try and impress the ladies….his rebel attitude did it all for him. We talk about the “clicks” in high school.  What our social breakdown was in high school…”What we you?”  We had: Jocks Preps Nerds Freaks/Metal Heads   We'd love to hear FROM YOU LISTENERS: - Where are you from and what was/is your high schools "socials classes"? - What's the hierarchy in these classes? - Sports a huge thing in your school? - Was/is Theater big? - What else was/is a “big deal” in your school? Todd talks about his Parent/Teacher conference with his 7th grade Science Teacher Bill Oehrlein.  First Todd hated this teacher, but after Bill told Todd how much he liked him and he as only here to help him out….Todd stopped being such a Deuce-Sack and they became friends! Todd and Taras talk about their Martial Arts experience: Todd: A little Tae Kwon Do, a lot of American Kenpo, Jiu Jitsu, Filipino Martial Arts, Thai Boxing Taras: 6 Classes of something...lots of WWF wrestling   Wrestle-Mania 1 - Andre “The Giant” and Hulk Hogan….Who remembers this? Would you tell your kids if they SUCKED at something they wanted to enter the school talent show for? Story Two: Beverly Worries About Pops Falling Down. Beverly gets Pops a device that helps him if he were ever to fall.  Pops is resistant to wear the device until he throws out his back. Story Three: Erica helps Barry Erica schools Barry on how to get around the driving rules so he doesn't screw up her privileges.     October 18th, 1980-something   Todd & Taras talk about when they first got their license and the rules their parents set for them.  Then we compare our road rules to the rules Beverly Goldberg set on Erica and Barry.   Bev's Rules of Driving: ? (we guess: Follow ALL Traffic Laws) ? In trouble?  Call for help and STAY In The Car Be home by 10 ? ? Total Focus On The Road: No eating, No passengers, No music Doors must be locked and windows rolled up at ALL times Only drive in safe areas.  Bev made a map of appropriate driving zones. Stay in Green zone Call me when you get there!!!   Todd tells us about how he used to hang out in the poster section of Spencer's Gifts…you know where all the barely clothed HOT chicks were at!  Also Todd reminisces about a VERY DISTURBING STORY on a gag gift he got his Mom when he was in his early teens…before he knew how inappropriate it really was.  Here's a hint….it was cylindrical and took batteries.   Taras said his Mom didn't do too many things to embarrass him in front of his friends where Todd's Mom pulled him and his friends out of the movie theater once when she took them to see Weird Science (Which is an AWESOME movie).  It was too much for Todd's Mom to handle, but for the kids….it was awesome.
