Welcome to Unfiltered! A podcast hosted by Haley Joyce. Every Saturday, we talk about issues completely UNFILTERED. I give my honest, authentic feelings, never straying away from discomfort. I started this podcast to discuss issues that I struggled with during my first semester at college. Since, this podcast has transformed into a type of "spoken diary," reflective of all that challenges me as an individual and a member of society. I hope this podcast creates a space where everyone can find comfort and solidarity in their struggles. Episodes release each Saturday, hope you decide to stay!
Happy Saturday Loves, Starting off May with a NEW season of UNFILTERED. I am so excited to share this episode with you all. Youtuber, Podcast host, and Social Media Strategist Grace Lee joins us today to talk about how she pursued her passion to become a Social Media Strategist, even if it was not the "normal" career path for someone with a Public Relations degree. How she navigates her niche occupation, as it is constantly changing. It was both rewarding and refreshing to hear from someone as accomplished as Grace. Especially when it can feel as though there is only one way to be successful. In addition to hearing all about Grace's social media expertise, we also reflected on the transformative work Grace has been doing on her Instagram to educate people about Americas troubled, discriminatory past towards AAIP individuals and many others. Grace highlights discriminatory practices and acts that are engrained within our history such as the Page Act of 1875, and the long history of sexual fetishization of Asian women. I hope tis vulnerable conversation can inform, and inspire you to continue engaging in difficult work, and standing up against injustices against anyone, and everyone. Interview Begins at 3:33 Happy Saturday Loves, Today I am joined by the biggest ray of sunshine, fashion icon, thrifting enthusiast, and Youtuber Macy Eleni. Macy has such a beautiful energy that welcomes vulnerability and looks for the light in even the darkest of days. She embodies such warmth and brings so much positivity through her inclusive fashion ideals, dance parties, and shimmies. In this episode Macy and I talk about the importance of standing up for yourself, even when you might be the biggest critic. Creating a new way of speaking to ourselves, and finding gratitude even through our struggles. Macy reflects on her extensive history suffering with an eating disorder and reflects on how it really dimmed her light. Moving into a much more fashion forward channel, on Blazed and Glazed Macy now discusses all things fashion, thrifting and inclusivity. Macy rejects the model of only idolizing super thin, white, wealthy models and rather creates a space that involves everyone. Macy speaks about her transition to an account that focuses on honoring each persons’ unique body and individuality - by buying second hand, fun and funky pieces. It was an honor to be in conversation with Macy and I hope you all find our conversation as insightful and impactful as I did. TW: Disordered eating and binging mentioned Hello Friends, Happy Saturday. Today, I am joined by the queen herself, Ali Bonar. Ali is the founder of Kween Granola Butter: “The World’s First Spreadable Granola” and host of Alicast, the podcast. Ali has such a unique gift of saying things how they are, real and vulnerable. Ali invites vulnerability as a means to provide empathy and support. In this episode Ali and I discuss all things related to disordered eating. She shares her story and some of the ways she was able to move towards a more free way of eating and thinking about food. We discuss the immensely harmful effects of eating disorders and the grave consequences of their glamorization on social media. I am so grateful to have had the ability to be in conversation with Ali and I hope this episode can provide some clarity and guidance to anyone who might be struggling with some of these issues and for everyone else I hope this episode can serve as a reminder of the importance of putting all different types of food into your body. Not labeling some them as “good” or “bad.” Finally, with so much going on in the world, remember to take care yourself. Provide yourself grace in doing whatever feels best. Happy Saturday Friends, Today I am joined by classmate and friend Allie Lee. In this episode Allie and I discuss the importance of pursuing your passions and becoming a more conscious consumer. Allie talks about her experience with fashion and the work she did with her account in response to Black Lives Matter. Allie truly provided me with a new perspective about fast fashion. Not only prompting me to question where I buy my clothing from, but also why I feel such a need to have so many articles of clothing. Allie is such an inspiration in all that she does to educate others, and share her work. I am so grateful that was able to come and speak with me, and I hope you all love the episode too. Hi Lovies, Happy Saturday. I hope you are all well. This week I have another solo episode for you that is near and dear to my heart. In this episode, I speak about a lot of my struggles over the past 6 months and how I managed to feel better when feeling better seemed almost impossible to do. I know it can feel so singular, and isolating, like no one could ever know what you are going through and while I cannot pretend to have fought your battles, I do want you to know that you are not alone. I hope this episode can provide some comfort to anyone who is going through it. No one teaches you how to make yourself feel better, when it seems too overwhelming to do so. However, you can do it. I promise you. Lots of love, Hale Also: if anyone would like to discuss more on this issue, my dm is always open: @unfiltered_podcast_ Document with Black Lives Matter Resources: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XHLKAzDwB5fxPCLTbyFK2G-OjocRKwoQlO0ePbo8FFg/edit UNFILTERED INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/unfiltered_podcast_/?hl=en
Hi Loves, This short and sweet episode was actually one of the hardest I have had to record. In reality, I still struggle with my relationships with others ALL the time. Especially, because It can be so easy to feel less than because you don’t have a concentrated group of friends. In this episode I give recommendations on how I work through feeling sad about my social situation. I recommend changing your mindset and understanding the unique position you are in. I discuss the beauty of having lots of relationships with all different types of people, but most of all I try to remind you that you are not alone. With the pandemic it can feel more isolating than ever, I offer creative ways to still feel connected even if you cannot be physically with someone. I hope this episode is useful, and if anyone would like to discuss more on this issue, my dm is always open: @unfiltered_podcast_ Document with Black Lives Matter Resources: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XHLKAzDwB5fxPCLTbyFK2G-OjocRKwoQlO0ePbo8FFg/edit UNFILTERED INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/unfiltered_podcast_/?hl=en

Hello Lovies, This Saturday Morning I have an episode for you all about getting your life together. The systems, and tips I have been using to help me feel a little more collected, and on top of my goals. The truth is, getting your life together is very difficult and unfortunately there is no magic cure to help you accomplish your goals in one day, but I hope in this short and sweet episode you took away some tips that will help you move closer towards accomplishing your goals and feeling a little more in control of your life. In this episode, I introduce topics such as finding out your peak productivity hours and how to best organize and schedule your time. I also discuss how sometimes it is necessary to ask for help, and what a beautiful thing that declaration is. I truly hope you can find some tips out of this episode and remember that wherever you are in your journey the actions you take each day can help you get closer to accomplishing your goals and living a life you want to live. Regardless, I am so proud of all of you. Hi Lovies, Happy Saturday and Happy 2021. Wow, 2020 was a long year, to put it lightly. This week, we are back with the lovely Maya Fleming. In this episode Youtuber and Podcaster, Maya Fleming talks about money, and we both openly and honestly discuss what some consider to be a taboo topic. Maya gives some real, tangible, goals and practices to save that money in 2021. We discuss how to take control of your money, and still be conservative while enjoying yourself. You don’t have to live for the money, but you can still find ways to conserve and preserve it. Hello Lovies, Happy day after Christmas to everyone who celebrates. I know this year the holidays have looked different, but I hope that you can find some resemblance of comfort this holiday season. This week I was lucky enough to be joined by the lovely Maya Fleming. Youtuber and Podcaster, Maya Fleming dives into different types of practical self care. We discuss how to be kind to yourself and still accomplish your goals, paying special attention to what systems you are currently using that might be failing you. If you’re anything like me 2020 disrupted all of the systems I had previously implemented to be my best self, so this conversation was very necessary. Begin the new year by being the best REALISTIC version of yourself. Thank you so much Maya for giving us your time and expertise, and I hope you all love the episode. Happy Saturday Friends, This week, I am bringing you a solo episode for your Saturday morning. In this week's episode I talk all about returning to school and the anxiety that comes with that. On this podcast I have not shied away from discussing just how difficult it was to be home last semester, so returning back to school feels like a dream come true; that being said, I am scared, really scared. With never- ending questions like: What if the relationships I made in quarantine only existed there? How do I navigate being safe while also having fun? The questions can consume you. So, cozy up this Saturday morning and listen to me talk through them all, the best I can, with the best I got. I hope this episode reminds you that you can honor you anxiety and still be so excited to return back to school. So, if you’re like me returning back to campus 2021, give yourself the grace to acknowledge your questions and anxieties, but then let them go. Life is so beautiful, and worth living, so do it … with a mask & distanced ofc ;) Lots of love, Hale Document with Black Lives Matter Resources: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XHLKAzDwB5fxPCLTbyFK2G-OjocRKwoQlO0ePbo8FFg/edit UNFILTERED INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/unfiltered_podcast_/?hl=en
Hi Friends, Happy Saturday Loves, last week I had the immense pleasure of being joined by Youtuber, Podcaster, Dancer, and Actress (there is really nothing she doesn’t do) Jada Jones. I had such an amazing time talking to Jada, and felt as though we could connect a lot in regards to being young girls pursuing growth on social platforms. Jada and I talk about everything and anything, but specifically focus on how to be your best self, by keeping people who love and support you close, planning your schedule best, and following your dreams! It can be really difficult to find happiness through pandemic fatigue. Coronavirus is hard, winter months are hard, and life can be hard right now. Jada’s recommendation: just start now. Do what you can right now. Jada is the epitome of love and light and I am so honored that we had the time to connect. I hope you all love this episode and can find some tips to help you just make one aspect of your life a little better. I hope this one can be on your weekend playlist. Happy Saturday Friends, “A Love Letter to My High School Best Friends,” was one of the hardest episodes to record yet. Mostly because I am still navigating my own relationship with this topic. It seems as though we undervalue the pain of friendship “breakups.” Always talking about the heartbreak that results from a romantic one, but never taking the time to discuss just how difficult it is to end platonic relationships as well, especially without closure. In this episode I discuss how sometimes we can draw closure from understanding that both individuals are moving on, that we are no longer trying to preserve a relationship that might not suit either of us anymore. This episode is titled a love letter to my high school best friends because I care about each person I encountered with in high school, they witnessed integral parts of me becoming me, but at the same time I acknowledge our relationship is changing, in fact, it must. I hope this episode can provide you the strength you need to evaluate some for your relationships, to love yourself enough to save the relationships you want to and say goodbye to some others. All my love. Hi Friends, I hope you are all well and had a lovely Thanksgiving with the people you love. This Thanksgiving was hard, being away from family seems like the icing on the cake of this tremendously difficult year, but I hope there were still things you could be grateful and thankful for, no matter how big or small. I’m back and I could not be more excited. In this episode I talk about how I took a break, a posting vacation, and while I am not sure it is everything I needed, I am coming out on the other seem and that is something to be proud of. In this episode I also discuss Corona fatigue and some sadness I have been experiencing over the last month. How putting language to my sadness really helped me, removing guilt from my daily activities saved me, and connecting with people was crucial. I hope this episode reminds you that it is okay to still be struggling - acknowledging that this has been a super difficult year and you are still reckoning with that. That being said, I do try to provide some tips that have been helping me over the past few months, such as dissociating happiness with productivity, implementing self care, and what that looks like for me and being honest and open about my feelings. I am so proud of this episode, and I hope you can be too. I am so happy to be back. All my love, you turkeys. xx, Hale Document with Black Lives Matter Resources: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XHLKAzDwB5fxPCLTbyFK2G-OjocRKwoQlO0ePbo8FFg/edit UNFILTERED INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/unfiltered_podcast_/?hl=en
Hi Everyone, Happy Friday, and Halloweekend! This week I'm coming to you with a solo episode! In this episode I discuss the 20 most important things I have learned in 2020 - in honor of my 20th birthday. I hope in this episode you can find comfort in my reminders, and remember that even when the world is hard, celebration is still necessary. Acknowledge the state of our country, the danger of this pandemic, and all the kindness our world needs - but also remember you deserve to celebrate the little things. Your accomplishments are worth celebrating. So, even when it is hard, celebrate the little victories. Congratulate yourself for all you have done, achieved, and learned this year. I’m sending so much love as you begin your halloweekend. Remember to be safe, wear a mask, distance, slay your costume ( bring a sweatshirt, its cold) and whatever you do … DON’T drink too much jungle juice. Happy Friday Friends, Episode 33 is HERE, and its good! This Friday I was lucky enough to be joined by Ama Appiyah! Ama is the host of the Bonnet Talks, a student at GW receiving a Global MBA, and an aerie brand ambassador. During our episode, Ama and I discuss how detrimental performative allyship can be, while also providing advice on how to do more. Ways to get involved within your community, and fighting for human rights offline as well. Ama and I define allyship as being a friend, and I hope this episode provides you with some tools and ideas on what ways you can get involved, how you define being an ally, and the importance of voting for candidates that value the people you love. Finally, we talk about the significance of acknowledging that it is not the role of your black friends to inform you about systemic racism within America. Ama is both so kind and well informed, and it was a privilege to speak with her. I hope you all enjoy the episode as much as I did. Hi Everyone! I hope you had a lovely week and are READY for the weekend! This week's episode we are back with another member of the Feel Good Voting Team, and I couldn't be more excited. This episode is with teenage, self taught digital artist and graphic designer Zoë McGough. We talk about how Zoë got involved with Feel Good Voting's mission and used her talents to create informative artwork for all. This was an incredible episode all about how you can pursue your passions, even if you are young and "unexperienced"! This episode left me wanting to be my best self - I hope it does that for you as well. Have a lovely weekend. Hi Loves, Happy Friday and welcome to season 2 of UNFILTERED. I can't believe we are 30 episodes in, my on the side passion project has grown so much and I couldn't be more thankful. For everyone that has been here since day 1, I love you, and for everyone who is just showing up ... I love you, welcome to the family. I really can't emphasize the importance of this episode. This episode is all about voting with Genessa Krasnow, from Feel Good Voting. Feel Good Voting is an organization that harnesses the power of social media to mobilize young people to vote ( 18-30). In this episode we discuss the importance of your vote, and how to facilitate difficult conversations in person, what cancel culture really is. I am so grateful that Genessa took the time out of her day to speak to me about the power of your vote ( yes, even if you think you know the outcome of your state) and I can't wait for next week ... which will be a part two with the social media director Zoë McGough! Voting is so much bigger than you think. In this episode I also discuss voter suppression, and just how many people cannot vote in 2020 (in 11 states those incarcerated lose their right to vote indefinitely)! Enact the change you want to see, and create a better world than you grew up in! Your vote matters, you matter. Have a lovely weekend and share this episode with a friend! Happy Friday Lovies! This is an episode just with me today, just for fun! I talk all about my how I'm doing, how my gap semester is going, and my favorite snacks ... SPOILER ALERT ... I need new snacks, I literally said carrots I think ... bruh. The world has been really heavy recently, and I know I have been struggling with it; its okay if you are too. I hope this episode gives you a lil something to smile and feel good about. Sending out all my love and positivity into the world. Have a lovely weekend loves! XX, Hale
Happy Friday Loves! This Friday we are here to talk all about mental health. In this episode, I talk all about my struggles during the last few months and some small changes that have had real impactful differences on my mental health. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't need to hear another "you'll get through it :/" ( we are SO not here for invalidating feelings, thank you!). I try to stress that you know yourself better than anyone else, so you know what you need. I hope this episode reminds everyone that this is a difficult time, and its okay if you are not being the best version of yourself. However, if this time feels like it is too much, it is uber important to reach out to people and resources that can help you feel better and provide you with the support you need. This episode was a lil all over the place but I hope it helps you find some resources that can help you. You deserve to be happy, and you are worthy of all the love. I'm sending you lots of it, xx, Hale
Happy Friday Everyone! Episode 27 is here, and I am so excited! This episode was so amazing to film; there is such a sense of comfort in finding the words to articulate all that you have been feeling. This episode is also really special to me because it kicks off my Black Girl Mini- Series! In episode 27, I am joined by Kim and Brea from HearttoHeart podcast while we discuss Imposter Syndrome, and how ours was heightened with our racial and gender identities. We discuss our experiences, tips, and daily reminders to combat our feelings of discomfort and doubt. We also talk about navigating the college process, and the Ivy League institutions we attend. Most importantly this episode emphasizes that you deserve to be where you are.To anyone and everyone listening, I hope that this helps you through whatever you are struggling with. College admission officers do not make mistakes, and if they do, it was definitely not on you. Thank you so much to Kim and Brea, and make sure to check them out at @heart2heartpodcast. xx, Hale
Hi loves, today I am joined by two of my best friends! Chloe, Katie and I are all rising Sophomores at Brown and in this episode we discuss how we made our decision's to take a gap semester, do work remotely, or even go back ( if they let us). We each provide our own unique reasonings and stories, in addition to giving helpful tips on how to not feel stuck this semester, power through the difficult days, and remember that you cannot compare this experience to the "Normal" college one. Coronavirus is unprecedented and it is unfair to yourself to compare it to a time before the pandemic. We talk about some triggers such as social media, reminding you that it is all a highlight reel. Lots of people might be living at home this semester, but those are not the people you see on snapchat at 2 am partying . . . and thats okay! Be kind to yourself during this difficult time, and remember you need to pick the best option for yourself RIGHT now & whatever option you make will be best. We are all *rooting for you* today. I hope this episode reminds you that everyone is different, and everyone is making different decisions that is best for themselves and their family RIGHT NOW!!! Lots of love. XX, Hale
Hi Loves! Happy Friday. I hope you are all doing well. Hard to believe the summer is almost over, AND we are almost at our 30th episode AHHH! Today, I am joined by the lovely Emily Gigliotti from the Purpose Project. Emily and I discuss our experiences with burnout, what we learned, and how we try to prevent burnout now. I feel as though there is this belief in popular culture that you have to keep on hustling and power through anything ... but what happens when you can't? I have been very open about my burnout experiences - I remember the moment I broke vividly. However, I want to be CLEAR ... You don't have to break to know that you're struggling. I hope Emily and I can help everyone and anyone who feels like they might be going through burnout, or is working themselves towards that. To ANYONE struggling, you are going to get through it, and I hope, our tips and insights help you through that process. As always, I'm rooting for you. Be a little kinder to yourself today. Hi Everyone, Happy Friday! This week I made an episode that is very prevalent right now - taking time off. Over the last week, my college delayed the move in date, and I have had to grappling with what this semester will look like. Lots of questions going through my head … like should I take a semester off? Or just do fully remote? Will 22 year old Haley hate me if I prolong our degree? As I try to understand and decide what to do, I felt making an episode might be helpful for others as well. In this episode stress the importance of doing what is best for you! DEFYING norms... SPOILER ALERT you don’t need to change the world to take time off. It’s okay if some of your days aren’t filled with meetings, and instead you take the time and space you need to understand what is going on in your environment, and your mental health. I also speak a little bit about my first semester at college, and my struggles. TRANSFERRING is also okay. You don’t have to be the same person you were at 17 as you are at 19 years old. Always strive to be in environments that are best for you, and don’t be afraid to recognize you can change and so can the school you attend. Overall, I hope this episode reminds you that everything will work out, even when it seems like it can’t. I am rooting for you! XX, Hale
Episode 23: We Are not even gonna talk about my voice in my most recent episode, not really sure why it sounds like I have a frog in my throat … but we back .. & hopefully with the content you have all been waiting for! This Friday, I am joined by the amazing Sydney Lotuaco! In addition to her appearance in Season 23 of the Bachelor (Colton’s season) and season 6 of the Bachelor in Paradise, Sydney is also a professional dancer, model, podcast host, and Instagram fitness trainer ( is there anything she can’t do?). This week we talked all about RELATIONSHIPS: how Sydney knew the bachelor wasn’t for her, and how it prepared her for what was right. We talked about NOT settling for what you deserve and finding a significant other that can be a WHOLE with you, not your “other half” ( you are a whole queen, not a half). Sydney and I discuss how she is making long distance work and how she knew she was ready to date again. I hope this episode reminds you that the right boy/girl/person is out there, so stop settling for less than you deserve . . . . good things take time. This one was a fun one, and I hope you all love it. Spoiler Alert: Stick around for Sydney’s BEST tips on how to keep the romance alive. Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful week. In this episode I give some new tips on how to live a life full of more joy and gratitude. Really shedding light on how destructive it is to be constantly comparing! This one is just with me, and I give you all of it, completely UNFILTERED. Hi Loves, How is everyone doing this week? I hope well. Wow, this episode I hold so close to my heart. Comparison SUCKS am I right? I have STRUGGLED with comparison my whole life ... might be the CEO of it! I hope this episode can remind you how much comparing affects every aspect of your life, not just your mental health. Bri and I talk about our struggles, and the struggles we even have NOW in the podcast industry. It is so easy to get sucked into the comparison game, but I hope this episode reminds you to love yourself and change your mindset about the pieces of yourself that might be harder to give love to. I am rooting for you! xx, Hale
In this episode I talk all about Imposter Syndrome and my struggles with it. I talk about how I struggled my freshman year, always doubting my intellect. Telling myself I wasn’t good enough, or smart enough … imagine if I put that energy into lifting myself up? I hope this episode can remind you that you deserve everything that happens to you. Be your own hype man, give yourself the love and grace you deserve. You have earned it. Heres the truth about imposter syndrome: it is just anxiety, and negative self talk … how can you think you’re great at anything if you don’t try?If you never start? If you constantly doubt yourself? You are not an imposter, you’re just getting started :)
Hello Loves! I hope you are all doing well. I don't know about anyone else, but the last couple months, I have felt like. I kind of lost my groove, anyone else? Luckily for me, last week I for the first time in a while felt like ... I GOT THIS! Super fitting because this episode is all about being the BEST you! Living a life that aligns with your core values and builds HABITS. I am joined by the incredible Veronika Abrams that gives us all all the deets! She is so insightful, passionate, and knowledgable about her work. Whatever you are going through, I hope this episode gives you the motivation you need to accomplish your goals today, tomorrow or even next month. Rooting for you! XX, Hale
Hi Squad! Wow, this one was SO fun to make. Please enjoy coffee induced Hale, and let me know what you thing ;) No, but honestly, maybe a large expresso coffee at 10 pm is not the moves #whatdoesn'tkillyoumakesyoustronger! In this episode I answer anything and everything and while there aren't too many questions, I still think it was so much fun. Listen as a I talk for 2 minutes about the smoothie bowl I order. I know the world can seem hard and heavy so I hope this brightened your day/week/month up a little bit. As always, I'm thankful for each and every one of you. Hi lovelies, Okay, this one is GOOD. I am joined by the king, David Garnick. David, my dear friend and inspiration, bestows on us SO much wisdom. He talks about what Pride means to him, and ways you can still celebrate it, even amidst a pandemic. Then we discuss his coming out "story," and David gives recommendations on how to be honest and find your true self, while keeping your safety first and foremost. He also talks about ways you can become involved in your community, and his incredible summer plans. The positivity is literally radiating from this episode. I hope anyone and everyone is inspired to celebrate, advocate, or donate. Hi Lovies, In this episode I talk about how to get your "summer body," but with a twist ... I mean did you expect anything else? I discuss the importance of just moving your body, in whichever way feels right. Whether that be running, lifting, or just WALKING. I also explain that everyones healthy looks different, strong is beautiful, never forget that. It feels odd to return back to the normal content I had planned prior to the events that have been happening in our country. There is so much work to be done, and I hope this episode in come across as if I am disregarding that. Please do your research and look into the links in my bio. As always continuously educating ourselves is hard and heavy, but so necessary! Continue to amplify black voices, and let me know if you need any podcast recs. Thinking of everyone during these times. All my love, Hale
Hi Everyone, I hope you are okay ( doing well seems like a luxury, that I know many of us do not have right now). I knew I had to create an episode on Black Lives Matter, it was a fact not a desire. Regardless of how big or small your platform is, you must speak up about injustices that plague so many individuals. I know this episode is not nearly enough, I tried to say so much, but there is still so much to be said. I ask you to stay until the end, the last 40 minutes are other personal accounts from some of my black friends. The stories are moving and so personal, please listen fully and attentively. In the last two weeks so much has been learned, and done, keep this momentum going. Never stop, returning back to our "normal" is no longer an option, it never was. I am sending all my love, and more than that my prayers for a better world. I can feel it coming. Take care of yourselfs. xx, Hale
Hi Lovies, This episode is all about my freshman year! I talk about all the struggles and successes you encounter in your first year. I hope this episode reminds you that not everyone is "thriving" when they go to college, in fact, to have that mindset becomes really defeating and overbearing! Do the best you can, be genuine, and have fun! Reminder that social media is a highlight real, and people are struggling even if they don't say it. As always, I feel so lucky to have this platform and talk about issues no one else wants to. I also wanted to say, I filmed this before George Floyd was murdered and for those reasons I do not really bring light to that tragedy. However, with everything going on I wanted to remind people to take action ( sign petitions, speak out, text numbers), and take care of yourselves. Have the best weekend you can. Hi Lovies, In this episode I am joined by my bestie, Alicia Newman. This episode is all about running and how important it is to FUEL yourself. Seriously, a body can’t run on no energy. We talk about our experience with cross country and how even though someone might seem like they have the “perfect body”, everyone is struggling with something! Alicia has a lot of insight and she is even running in college #gobison! I hope this episode can help anyone who is struggling with body issues specifically within sports. Remember, your car can’t run without any gasoline. Have a wonderful weekend! Xx, Hale --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Hi Lovies, Wow, we got a long episode today. In today's episode I talk all about high school. The good, the bad and the finsta fights .... just kidding (ahahha not really though). Whether you are in high school, just graduated or about to start it, I hope this episode can give you some helpful hints. My high school years were some of the best four years of my life, but also the hardest, and I don't want to hide that. I am so proud of whoo the person I was at 14, turned out to be at 18 and I contribute a lot of that to all the lessons I learned throughout those four years. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing I'm sending you lots of love! xxx, Hale --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Hi Everyone! As always, I hope you are well and safe. I know this can be a crazy time with lots of assignments and finals coming up, so I wanted to share some of my tips I have learned from my month of online school. I am far from perfect and sometimes I am unmotivated, which is okay; I think it is super important to be honest with yourself and control what you CAN right now. Having a positive mindset is key. I hope this episode can help you find your routine and change your mindset, and just remember doing the best you can with all ya got is ALWAYS enough. Hi Lovlies, This episode is about the infamous Freshman 15. If you are anything like me then this might have been a subject of anxiety before coming to college. In this episode I try to give tips on how to avoid mindless snacking, and provide reasonings behind why you might have gained a little extra weight. I also talk about perspective and really preach the fact that health doesn't have one body size or shape. Find the health regime that works for you. Life is so much more than the size of your clothes and the number on the scale, it is far too beautiful and full of magic to become obsessed with that. Lastly, I recognize what a difficult topic this can be, if anyone wants to reach out to talk more please email: unfiliteredpodcast20@gmail.com All my love and social distanced hugs! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
