Okay guys! This was by far the most voted for on the polls so I thought I'd give the people what they asked for. In this week's episode, I interview Annika Conn (who is absolutely amazing) and we talk all about dating. The purpose of dating, some common misconceptions, what to look for in a boyfriend/girlfriend, boundaries, and how to date as a Christian. We also talk about how to prepare your heart if you aren't in a relationship. This episode is full of wisdom and I'm so blessed to have been able to talk to Annika. Enjoy!
This week is short and sweet! Starting next week we will be back with regular episodes. This week is just a little bit about what's going on and what future episodes will be about. Also Boba! I tried it for the second time today and it was delicious. Anyways happy Wednesday and enjoy!
And we're back again with another wonderful Wednesday! This week I talk about sisterhood with my (somewhat unwilling) sister and we discuss what has helped us grow closer over the years. We also get into the history of Socrates, who he was, what he did, and some of the contributions he made to philosophy. All in all a classic Wednesdays with Winnie! Enjoy!
This episode is a tough one. It actually wasn't the original topic I had planned for the week, but I felt called to talk about it so here it is. We cover some practical tips about moving on, trusting God, and finding hope after an especially difficult time. We end with some Bible verses and a little about my cooking adventures (I promise I'll upload the recipe to Instagram). Enjoy!
Back at it again with another episode! This week we're talking about the differences between Protestants and Catholics, the Reformation, and some stats on global Christianity. I also share my experience hosting a surprise party and my struggles with keeping things a surprise. Enjoy!
Hi guys! This episode is all about.... college! We're talking college preparation, things I wish I did, things I'm glad I did, and even some lifehacks (at least things I think are lifehacks). Anyways, I hope you enjoy! - Winnie
The last and final installment on abortion. In this episode, we discuss when life begins (from a scientific standpoint), and some common pro-abortion arguments and how to answer them. We also discuss the double effect theory and how it applies to abortion.
In this episode, we are getting into how the first abortion and birth control clinics were founded, how early abortions were performed, and the history of eugenics behind modern abortion facilities. We then discuss statistics of current abortion procedures in America. This was a very hard topic for me to research; not necessarily the finding of the information, but simply because it is hard to present information about the deaths of millions of children and not have it affect you. I tried to keep it objective for the most part but the next episode will be about how to talk about abortion and debate it. Stay tuned and I hope this episode is informative.-WinnieThis episode contains statistics from the Guttmacher Institute, Planned Parenthood Financial Reports, and the CDC.
This episode covers the cases that led to and inform America's current abortion laws. We discuss Roe v. Wade as well as other pivotal Supreme Court cases in depth. 'Enjoy' probably isn't the right word to give to this discussion but I hope that it is informative! There will be two other parts to this series so stay tuned! -Winnie
In this episode, we're talking about why Instapots are so awesome, my fear of shots, and how to develop a prayer routine. We also talk about some different prayer practices and how to pray if you're unsure of what to do. Hope you all enjoy!
This week we're talking all things business. How to start a business, what types of businesses there are, how to name your business, and create copy that sells. Along with a whole lot of other tips. We also get into college prep- (which is honestly pretty chill for me right now). Enjoy!
Thought we were in need of a lighter topic so this week we're talking all about.... pretzels! Shoutout to my aunt for giving me this idea and hope you all enjoy!
In this week's episode, we're talking about pornography with John Welch. This is by no means a light episode, but I believe it is very necessary. John and I discuss his personal journey in dealing with porn addiction, the science behind it, and what those struggling with it can do to stop. We also talk about how to support someone going through this addiction and how it applies to relationships. Big shoutout to John for being on the episode and you can find him on Instagram @overt_tv and his podcast, Catholic Late Night, is available on all podcast platforms.Hope you learn a lot from this one!-Winnie
This week's episode is all about Rhetoric and Aristotle! We get into the modes of persuasion, why rhetoric is useful, and different forms and types of rhetoric. I know it can be challenging for me to understand sometimes, so hopefully this makes it a little easier! Enjoy!
Episode 5! Can't believe we've been doing this for an entire month! In this episode I get into some social media statistics and why everyone should take a step back and truly look at their social media usage. I'll be the first to say that I'm not perfect who it comes to limiting the time I spend on Instagram, but when I do I feel so much better. Just wanted to supply you all with some practical tips on this and bring it to light!
