Alysen shared her experiences and challenges as a young woman and mother in our profession, including taking her daughter, Atlas, in the field during her workday. She is reluctant to be called a role model for young surveyors, but she is truly a trailblazer and we look forward to see her continued success. AMIE is an acronym for “Anxiety, Mood, Irritability and Energy.” Nutritional Neuroscience is the study of how carbohydrates, proteins, fats, supplements vitamins, minerals and additives can alter brain chemistry, cognition and behavior. The conversation is quite fascinating as it moves from a scientific background to real life application. What was originally designed as a fitness supplement showed significant change in mental health, mood and anxiety.
