When the world became "filled with violence," God sent a Flood. Was it a fit of divine anger, or a desperate act of love to save future generations from a world without hope? Discover why Noah's Ark is the ultimate symbol of the Atonement. Summary: In this episode, we dive into the deep waters of Genesis 6–11. We move past the Sunday School "flannel board" version of Noah to find a profound story of covenants, agency, and second chances. The Problem of Wickedness: We explore why the earth was "corrupt" and how the Flood served as a necessary "reset" to allow God's children a fair chance at life. Building the Ark: Noah was commanded to build a "tebah" (box or chest), a word used only one other time in the Bible—for Moses' basket. We discuss how we can build our own spiritual arks today. The Second Creation: We analyze the parallels between the Flood and the original Creation, seeing the earth emerge from the water as a new beginning. The Token of the Covenant: The rainbow wasn't just a pretty sign; it was a "token" of an everlasting covenant between God and Enoch's posterity. The Tower of Babel: We contrast Noah's altar with Nimrod's tower—showing the difference between building toward heaven God's way versus trying to "make a name for ourselves". Call-to-Action: What are the "thorns and thistles" in your life that God is trying to wash away through a fresh start? Share your thoughts on "new beginnings" in the comments! We are at an interesting moment in the dairy sector. For years, smaller farmers with around 200 cows, who were also great graziers, could undercut the costs of large concentrated dairy operations, keeping costs low, taking healthy margins in good years, and surviving the bad ones. But something has changed: CAFO dairies have grown bigger and bigger (10,000 cows is now normal, and 100,000 is no longer an exception) and their economies of scale mean they are undercutting the grazers. Of course, this leads to massive manure lagoons, animal welfare disasters, and all kinds of other externalities, but nobody is paying for that yet. Not to mention that you can only push biology so far before it literally breaks. So what's next for regenerative grazing? Joe Tomandl, 4th generation dairy farmer, founder and director of the Dairy Grazing Alliance, argues instead for focusing on the transition of mid-size farms with 300– 700 cows that have surrounding land which could be grazed but currently isn't. You need grazing experience and a long-term offtake agreement, but it can be done.More about this episode.==========================In Investing in Regenerative Agriculture and Food podcast show we talk to the pioneers in the regenerative food and agriculture space to learn more on how to put our money to work to regenerate soil, people, local communities and ecosystems while making an appropriate and fair return. Zak Mir caught up with Howard White, Chairman of Hydrogen Utopia, to discuss the company's strategy and progress in the fast-evolving hydrogen and clean energy space.Hydrogen Utopia International PLC (LON: HUI) has identified a substantial opportunity in the MENA region, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia, to deploy its proprietary InEnTec technology for the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and hydrogen-derived diesel from waste streams.Preliminary financial modelling indicates potential internal rates of return in the high teens for projects requiring minimum capital investment of around US$800m per facility. Under the proposed structure, HUI could retain a 10–20% free-carry equity interest, alongside management fee income commencing from the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase. The strategy is underpinned by expectations of SAF demand growth in the MENA region exceeding a 40% compound annual growth rate through the 2030s, driven by airline decarbonisation targets and a constrained supply backdrop. HUI believes this positioning offers the potential to capture value from a widening global SAF shortfall while leveraging regional scale and policy momentum.Aleksandra Binkowska, Chief Executive Officer of HUI, commented: "When I started HUI, I believed we would be playing in the EU league, fuelling hydrogen buses and transforming local transport. Today, after years of trials, resilience, and learning, we stand at the threshold of something far bigger, an opportunity to play in the international league alongside the world's largest players: the airlines and the airports. Reshaping one of the biggest industries in the world. What once was a game of a few tonnes of hydrogen and local pilot projects has evolved into a game of scale, impact, and vision, shaping global, large-scale infrastructure projects. People will always fly. Humanity is driven to explore, to connect, to discover the world, and there is nothing wrong with that. The challenge was never flight itself, but how we power it.That is why I would like to invite every CEO of the world's major airlines to come and sit down with us, to explore our  real, scalable solution to meet the demands of international aviation. I'm confident in what I know to be bold enough to say it.If aircraft can fly on waste, guilt disappears and responsibility transforms into progress, regardless of what some so-called eco-purists may claim. There is already enough plastic waste on this planet to fuel the world, without asking people to change their lives or sacrifice their freedom. For the first time, we will be able to say something extraordinary: fly - and you are helping to save the planet."Howard White, Chairman of HUI, commented: "I am delighted and very excited by this long-overdue recognition of the potential of SAF, which could unlock exponential opportunities across the MENA region. What has surprised us most is the sheer scale of the shortage - far greater than we ever anticipated. Even more striking is the widespread lack of understanding about what SAF is and how it is fundamentally reshaping global air travel. The growth potential is extraordinary, with a CAGR of over 40% projected over the next five years, and strong momentum sustained over the next 20 years. I have recorded an interview with Zak Mir, to be released today, to explain why so many still fail to grasp its impact.I believe mandated technologies often go largely unnoticed.SAF isn't widely known because nothing about flying changes. The plane looks the same, the ticket costs the same, and the passenger doesn't choose the fuel; thus,  no one notices it exists."

By mid-January, many people are still taking action toward change but feel increasingly unsure of themselves. In this Think Thursday episode, Molly introduces the concept of identity lag to explain why behavior often changes before belief does and why that gap can feel uncomfortable.Building on recent conversations about the Fresh Start Effect and the neuroscience of follow-through, this episode explores what happens in the brain when new behaviors challenge long-held self-stories. Molly explains how identity is shaped through evidence over time, why self-doubt often peaks after consistency begins, and how cognitive dissonance plays a central role in this phase of change.Rather than seeing discomfort as a sign that something is wrong, listeners are invited to understand identity lag as a normal and necessary transition in sustainable behavior change. What You'll LearnWhy behavior change often feels awkward before it feels alignedWhat identity lag is and why it shows up in mid-JanuaryHow the brain prioritizes stability and safetyWhy confidence does not come first in lasting changeHow cognitive dissonance creates tension during growthWhy self-doubt often increases after consistency beginsHow identity actually updates through repetition and evidenceKey Concepts ExplainedIdentity lag as the gap between behavior and beliefDefault mode network and self-referential processingCognitive dissonance and the brain's drive for consistencyEvidence accumulation in identity-based behavior changeNeuroplasticity and learning across time and contextImpostor syndrome as a byproduct of uncertainty during growthCore Takeaways from the EpisodeBehavior leads and identity followsFeeling unfamiliar does not mean being misalignedSelf-doubt is information, not instructionConfidence grows from repetition, not declarationsConsistent behavior resolves cognitive dissonance over timeOver time, research shows that behavior is often what resolves cognitive dissonance, not beliefs. When behavior stays consistent, identity eventually follows. That's why you don't have to convince yourself. My research sounds narrow: how do you learn from failure, and how does that turn into innovation. But “failure” is a misleading word. Once you look closely, it is not one event. It is a messy story. It is nuance. It is trial and error inside real life.I started in medical technology, staring at adverse event reports. On the surface, it looks simple: one report, one problem. Then you open the text and it is hospital speak, doctor speak, long narratives, and contradictions. Even one “report” can hide thousands of uses, under reporting, or over reporting. The whole thing is hard to read, hard to code, hard to trust. That mess is what pushed me toward building a way to process narrative data, before machine learning was even common. I had tens of gigabytes of raw text. I needed a way to make sense of it.The medical context mattered to me. My dad was dying. I had worked in health care. But most people did not care about health care back then. So I had to learn to zoom out, and explain it as something everyone faces: messy moments, setbacks, and how you move forward anyway. It took me 20 years to communicate that clearly. If you stay with one narrow question long enough, you realize it connects to everything.

If you're an ambitious rider trying to juggle horses, work, family, goals, money, fitness, and your sanity… this episode is going to feel like a deep exhale. Today, I and Lorna dive into one of the biggest struggles riders face: How do you manage everything without feeling overwhelmed, guilty, or constantly behind? And the honest answer? You don't “balance” it. Because balance is a myth, an illusion we keep chasing, then beating ourselves up for not catching. Inside this episode, we explore: Why riders don't actually have a time problem, they have a thinking problem How overwhelm isn't failure… it's the abundance of everything you once wished for The link between your to-do list and your limiting beliefs Why your mind becomes a “washing machine” of pressure, and how to stop feeding it The REAL reason you procrastinate (hint: it's not laziness) How to recognize when your subconscious is trying to protect you Why some days you glide through 80 tasks and others you can't handle five The secret difference between an “incapable rider” and an “incapable state” This episode gives you the awareness, the metaphors, and the mental models to finally understand: why you feel overwhelmed why your brain spirals why you keep recreating the same stress patterns and how to start shifting out of them with compassion instead of criticism Whether you're riding six horses a day or squeezing in one evening ride after work, this conversation will help you stop fighting your mind and start working with it. In this eye-opening conversation, I sit down with Darel Paul, Professor of Political Science at Williams College and author of From Tolerance to Equality: How Elites Brought America to Same-Sex Marriage, to discuss his provocative First Things article "Feminism Against Fertility."We explore a stunning reversal in gender dynamics that challenges everything we thought we knew: women are now less interested in marriage, dating, and parenthood than men. Through data and careful analysis, Darel explains how we're experiencing an unprecedented retreat from lifelong care relationships, the apocalyptic consequences of global fertility collapse, and what this means for the future of society. From depopulation in rural areas to the rise of right-wing populism in response to immigration pressures, this conversation covers the massive societal transformations happening right now that most people aren't talking about.CHAPTERS:(00:00 Introduction)(00:48 The Retreat from Care Relationships)(03:18 Data Showing Women Less Interested in Marriage & Kids)(04:31 Why Public Discourse Hasn't Caught Up)(06:43 The Feminist Sensibility vs. Reality)(10:45 Fertility Rates and Global Demographics)(21:04 Depopulation: From Rural Areas to Ghost Towns)(23:02 Immigration, Assimilation & Political Consequences)(25:23 What Should Young People Do?)(26:57 The Role of the Church in Matchmaking)(27:53 Closing Thoughts)DAREL PAUL LINKS:

Feast of Tabernacles Thursday, 10-9-25: 1 Thess 4:17:  "Caught Up!"  Todays Bible study was revelation from the Holy Spirit to me on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles.  Come and see what all has been pulled together for this episode! If you are blessed by today's Bible study, please support my channel by liking, subscribing, commenting, and sharing with your friends and family!  I am not a Pastor, and agree with God's word that women are not supposed to be Pastors.  However, all people are called to share the gospel. It is perfectly acceptable and Biblical for women to lead Bibles studies outside the church as an ancillary addition to the church, and especially if it is a viable avenue for study of the Word on a daily basis, like I'm doing on this show, and paving the way for all of us to be closer to the Lord and become more knowledgeable of the Bible.  If you care to contribute to my work with the Daily Bible study and sharing the Gospel, as part of your tithes and offerings, you can do so through PayPal by sending it to my PayPal address of: ReneHoladay@gmail.com You are also welcome to email me at the same email address above if you have any thoughts you'd like to share about this episode!    Thank you for watching and God Bless you all! ;()
