-KoopCast
I applaud Asteroid Base. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is an amazing experience that actually focuses on the art of couch co-op. This is a dying trend in video games. This is a fun Valentines Day activity for the couple who wants to stay inside.
Jonathan chats with Jamie Tucker and Matt Hammill of Asteroid Base, developers of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime!
We're just barely recovered from our marathon of game coverage at PAX Prime 2014 in Seattle, but we managed to crawl to the computer and edit together one hour of interviews for your enjoyment. Why? Because we're gluttons for punishment and we will do anything for our listeners. Out of courtesy to you and your internet connection, we've broken all our interviews down into separate shows of about one hour each. We're also offering these up in sequential order of when we recorded them so you can hear us slowly deconstruct as we become increasingly exhaused and succumb to the effects of too much booze and not enough sleep. This episode features: Shaz and Duncan Greenwood of Free Lives about "Broforce and Brospendables;" John Ribbins of Roll7 about "Not a Hero" and "OlliOlli;" Seth Rosen of Klei Entertainment about "Don't Starve Together;" Bunny Dast and Rikki Knight of On the Level Studios about "Boo Bunny Plague;" Armin Ibrisadic and Oscar Jilsén of Coffee Stain Studios about "Goat Simulator" for iOS and Android; Jon SmallWood from Deep Silver about "Escape Dead Island;" Adam Winkles of Asteroid Base about "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Also, don't forget, details on how to win our gigantic PAX Prime Swag Bag will be on next Wednesday's show. Enjoy.
In this second and final installment, we feature eight more developer interviews we did from PAX East 2014 in Boston, Mass. This episode features: Nick Dinicola and Edie Sellers chat with Matt Hammill, co-founder of Asteroid Base, about his upcoming title "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" (and now that song is stuck in your head); Holy Goalie interviews Anthony Pecorella, producer of "Defender's Quest 2," the sequel to the popular tower-defense-RPG from Kongregate; Nick Dinicola chats with Jason Dreger, designer of "Invisible, Inc." from Klei Entertainment. Holy Goalie chats with Alex Nichiporchik, co-founder of tinyBuild Games to talk about their new title, "No Time To Explain;" Edie Sellers chats with Eric Chung of Muse Games about "Guns of Icarus Online;" The team meets up with Andrew Sandifer of 2D Heroes about "Bit Brawlers;" Edie Sellers and Nick Dinicola get some face time with David Welch of Experimental Gamer about his Steam title "Boot Hill Heroes;" Holy Goalie and Nick Dinicola talk with Andrew Zoboki, lead designer of "Grey Goo" from Petroglyph Games. Enjoy.
Nick Dinicola and Edie Sellers chat with Matt Hammill, co-founder of Asteroid Base, about his upcoming title Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (and now that song is stuck in your head). Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a frantic 1- or 2-player local co-op action game in development for PC and Mac. Set inside a neon spaceship, players work together manning turrets, lasers, shields and thrusters to fight robots, save animals, and stave off a vacuumy demise.
