However, Romans 12:2 reminds us not to conform to the patterns of this world but to renew our minds. We need to focus on God's promises and truths, which are found in His Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 also encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our understanding. We need to acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He will make our paths straight. When we trust in Jesus, we can find rest for our souls. We can have peace in the midst of chaos and hope in the midst of despair. God's love and acceptance are constant, regardless of our circumstances. As Diane Stewart reminds us in the Faith with Friends podcast, we need to seek Jesus with all our hearts. We need to become more like Him and less like ourselves. We need to surrender our burdens to Him and trust Him to carry them for us.
