Throughout the year we will be sharing messages on specific weekends in a series titled “Foundations”. This weekend is our first message in this series! Having a solid foundation is the beginning of a faith that can stand the tests of time. Each message will lay a block that will help you understand who we are as a church and what we believe about faith topics.
God's people are called to live differently—to reflect His heart and character in a world that needs to know Him. We've been set apart by His grace and invited to show His love, truth, and compassion through the way we live and love others. As the church, we are His special people with a sacred calling: to represent God well and make His goodness visible in everyday life. The way we do this is simple: Love God. Love People.
Jesus has given us a clear vision to love God, love people and to make disciples. Join us as we unpack this vision – it sets out our destination for the next season. We also include an important finance update from the past year.
Paul reminds us that following Jesus means more than asking, “Can I do this?”—it's asking, “Does this honor God and help others?” In this message, we'll unpack how love, humility, and a desire to glorify God can guide our choices in life's gray areas.
In this episode, Alex Watkins, David Tooley, TJ Renfro, and Keith Christopher engage in a thoughtful and challenging conversation about what it truly means to love God and love people—especially those we might view as outsiders. Drawing from the parable of the Good Samaritan, they explore how easy it can be to make excuses that prevent us from living out the radical love Jesus calls us to. Through Scripture, personal reflection, and honest discussion, they invite listeners to consider how to break down barriers and embody compassion in everyday life. This episode is a convicting yet hopeful reminder that love knows no boundaries. --- This episode of The Beyond Sunday Podcast explores the sermon The Good Samaritan | Luke 10:29–37. In this striking parable, Jesus challenges our understanding of neighborly love by showing mercy across social and cultural divides. Join us as we reflect on what it means to love without limits, confront our excuses, and follow Christ's call to extend compassion—even to those we might least expect. In this episode of Midweek Move, Dallas and Carlos walk through Mark 12:28–34 and talk about the greatest commandment. Jesus makes it simple: love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself. We look at what this meant for the people listening to Jesus in the first century, how it connects to the Old Testament, and why it still matters for us today. Whether you're new to reading the Bible or have studied for years, this conversation will help you see the passage in a new way and think through what it looks like to live it out. Join us as we go line by line, keeping it practical, biblical, and real. Time Stamps: 00:00 – Intro 01:12 – Context: where we are in the book of Mark 02:14 – The Gospels and why Mark is unique 03:12 – The scribe's honest question 04:19 – Why the greatest commandment mattered in Judaism 05:01 – Jesus' answer: Love God with everything 06:07 – What it means to make God first 07:15 – Loving God above family, career, and everything else 08:22 – How God fills in the gaps in our relationships 09:13 – The second commandment: love your neighbor as yourself 10:12 – Loving others as an outgrowth of loving God 11:09 – What love really looks like 12:12 – Speaking truth with love and wisdom 13:34 – What it means to care for others like yourself 13:47 – The scribe's response and Jesus' reply 14:41 – Obedience over sacrifice in the Old Testament 15:09 – What true obedience looks like today 16:38 – Living submitted to God so love flows naturally 17:30 – Wrap up and how to connect with us

In this episode of Side Notes, Josh and Arch explore what it means to live out the Great Commandment and Great Commission. From behind-the-scenes stories and moments of levity to practical examples like explaining communion, baptism, and student ministry events, they show how faith is put into action every day. Reflecting on the church's roots in the neighborhood, they discuss how honoring the past shapes the future—equipping people to love God, love others, and make disciples in their schools, workplaces, and communities.
Pastor Kenny Keating teaches us that God has always been about reaching people who would spend time in His presence and be shaped by it to reflect His goodness as they live amongst their neighbors.
During our summer preaching series on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), Ethan shares about love, and particularly about agape love, which is the highest value of love. This is the way in which God loves us (John 3:16), it is also the way in which we are commanded to love in Mark 12 and in Matthew 22. Thirdly, we (plural) are equipped, by the Holy Spirit, to do agape love, with particular reference to forgiveness. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian

The call repeated throughout these chapters is simple but demanding: Love God, obey Him, and do the work. Easier said than done. Join us to see how David, our shepherd king, shows Israel exactly how to do it.Themes of this podcast:Legacy leadership: living for the next generation. David's final acts are less about finishing his own story and more about launching the future. His leadership shows that true greatness isn't about what you personally accomplish. It's about how well you prepare and position others to flourish and carry God's work forward when you're gone.Worship as the center of life. David's obsession with the Temple isn't about architecture—it's about anchoring the people's identity and future in worship. For David, worship is more than music or rituals; it's obedience, generosity, community, and a loving relationship with God and others. Worship is the way God's people flourish.True success isn't found in achievement but in wholehearted devotion. David's success as a shepherd-king stemmed from his pure heart that genuinely loved God. This allowed him to serve God with a willing mind because true obedience flows from love.Show Notes:BlogWe love feedback, but can't reply without your email address. In the final weekend of the We Believe series, Pastor Curt Taylor shared a powerful message titled "Love God, Love People", calling the church to live out its faith through action. He emphasized that love is not just a belief we hold, but a mission we carry—one that must reach beyond the church walls. Pastor Curt challenged Cherry Hills Community Church to be a tangible expression of Christ's love in the local community. He reminded us that when the church steps into places of need, hope is restored, and lives are transformed. This message is a great reminder to let God's love move through us into every corner of our city.
Good doctrine must produce good theology. (Love God/Love People is good doctrine that must find practical expression in investing in one's neighbors for the sake of the gospel.)Luke 10:25-37
What does it really mean to love God with all your heart? In this message, guest speaker David Nasser unpacks Jesus' greatest commandment—love God and love people. Through powerful stories and real-life examples, he shows how a deep love for God naturally leads to serving and caring for others in meaningful ways. Be inspired by the incredible impact of a church that lives this out and discover how putting God first changes everything. (03/30/2025)

Our love for one another is the test of our relationship with God. If we do not love one another, then we are not really in relationship with God. As Christians, we must evaluate our love for one another based on our actions.
