In this episode of the Memoirs of an LDS Servant Teacher Podcast, host Maurice Harker dives into one of Satan's most subtle but powerful tactics: the war between remembering and forgetting. Why is it so hard to remember spiritual impressions, goals, and revelations—even when we want to? And why do the worst thoughts tend to show up right as we're falling asleep or just waking up?Drawing on his Spiritual Psychology Masterclass, Maurice shares how he discovered and built “personalized iron rods”—practical systems that help you hold to the word of God when your mind is drifting or under attack. From missionary days with 3x5 scripture cards in Detroit to using modern text-to-audio tools as wake-up and bedtime “iron rods,” he explains how to turn reminder systems into spiritual weapons, not shame-filled “crutches.”In this episode you'll learn:How Satan uses drifting, anxiety, and late-night/early-morning thoughts to derail youWhy even smart, faithful people forget critical truths and commitmentsHow to build personalized iron rods using scriptures, notes, and audioHow to use two-alarm systems and intentional listening to push back on fear-based morning thoughtsWhy “affirmations” often feel cheesy—but intelligent reminders are powerful and doctrinally soundHow to see structure, tools, and supports as Christlike compensation, not weaknessIf you're an LDS disciple striving for self-mastery, stronger relationships, and spiritual clarity, this episode will give you hope—and concrete tools—to stop losing battles you're not even aware you're fighting.

Winning the War Within: Jesus & Mental Health - Part 4 by
When you experience anxiety, it's a signal alerting you that it's time to pray!
From 1 Corinthians 3, we learn that, if we are to win the war with the culture, we must first win the war within.
Teaching on Matthew 6:25-34
In this episode, I sit down with Itamar Marani, a former Israeli special operator turned elite performance coach, to talk about what it really takes to win the battles inside your own head. Itamar shares a wild story from his undercover days that completely reshaped how he viewed fear, identity, and control — and how those lessons now help high-level entrepreneurs break mental patterns that hold them back.We unpack how pressure shows up in business, the three default responses people fall into when stressed, and why slowing down might be the most powerful move you can make. This is a deep dive into the psychology of performance, leadership, and mindset — from survival mode to peak potential.Key Takeaways:- Fear is context. Whether it's life-or-death or payroll-on-Friday, your nervous system can't tell the difference.- Awareness first. You can't out-work a pattern you don't even know exists.- The three stress defaults: go harder, play nice, or prove them wrong — and how each can quietly destroy progress.- Performance ≠ pressure. You can achieve big goals without the emotional chaos that usually comes with them.- Future-first focus. Clarify what you want, identify the bottleneck, and only then explore what's holding you back.- Toxic achievement is real. Hustle built on resentment or a chip on your shoulder burns fast and leaves you empty.- Coaching that works creates results. Healing is part of growth, but measurable impact keeps it grounded and real.If this episode hit home, send it to a friend who needs a mindset reset. Rate and review the show to help more high-achievers build calm, confident momentum.

You win the war in your mind by replacing the enemy's lies with the truth of God's word.
In a world where worry flies at us like arrows and comparison cuts like a knife, we're invited to discover a peace that transcends all understanding. This message centers on Philippians 4:4-9, where we find not just a promise of peace, but the very presence of the God of peace Himself. The passage reveals five transformative practices for maintaining the peace that Jesus guarantees: remembering who's truly in control, renewing our minds daily, refocusing our perspective, reflecting the mind of Christ, and resting in His presence. What's particularly powerful is the shift from 'the peace of God' to 'the God of peace'—reminding us that we're not just receiving something from Jesus, but receiving Jesus Himself. The repeated word 'whatever' six times in verse 8 isn't accidental; it's God's way of telling us that in every circumstance, we're called to lift our gaze to the horizon of hope. This isn't wishful thinking or positive psychology—it's a complete operating system upgrade for our minds, built on the foundation of Christ's indestructible life. The enemy wants to control our minds because he knows that's how he controls our actions, but we have access to a peace that guards our hearts and minds like a fortress.Connect with First Baptist Starkville: https://bit.ly/3imWgqv Subscribe to see our latest sermons: https://bit.ly/3DxRyjH Support this ministry and our work in Starkville, MS: https://bit.ly/44muvW0

Darryl Cooper from Martyrmade whom I owe a lot to, just released an episode where he claimed that Russia is winning this war. This is an open response to Darryl and to all of his fans, because it was very stupid of him to make such claims in the same day when the Z-vatnik blogosphere was busy whining about why and how Russia is about to lose. Therefore, please share and spread this - because as you'll hear, Darryl is either horribly misinformed or outright lying. He started the fight back in 2022, when he thought I was lying about Russia in my interview on his show and this is the point where I strike backSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/theeasternborder. In this episode of The Big Ben Show, Ben Domenech unpacks a defining question of our time: What happens when you win the war but lose a generation? Ben explores how Israel's global image is shifting among Gen Z, young Christians, and American conservatives and why social media, faith, and foreign policy are reshaping how a new generation views the Middle East, Trump, and America's role in the world. Later, Fox News correspondent Lucas Tomlinson joins to break down President Trump's brokered ceasefire deal in Israel, what it means for Netanyahu, JD Vance, and the future of “America First” foreign policy. Then, journalist Katie Herzog sits down with Ben to discuss her new book Drink Your Way Sober, a science-based approach to recovery that challenges traditional AA methods. They explore the rise of Gen Z sobriety, faith in modern America, and why our cultural relationship with alcohol is changing. We need to learn how to play both offense and defense in this spiritual battle that we face.In this message, Pastor Tasia gives us way that we can begin to protect what's open and guard what you are filling yourself with throughout the week.
The flesh is not just our weakness—it's our willfulness. When it rules, it reshapes our desires, fetters our freedom and wars against the Spirit's work of ushering in peace. This battle isn't fought out in the streets; the war is waged in the soul. The flesh deceives us, arguing that life works best when we sit on the throne. But every time the flesh rules, peace dies—first in our hearts, then in our relationships — with people, places and things. The only way we overcome is to live life surrendering to He who has overcome the world.
Pastor Mike Roberts continues in our church series called " Winning The War". In this weeks sermon he talks about righteousness and peace
God gives us the resources for victory in the war within. It comes down to whether we are going to feed the flesh or the spirit more.

Ever feel like you're working harder than ever but still not hitting that next level of success? Like no matter how much you push, something inside keeps holding you back? In this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast I chat with my man Itamar Marani — a world-class performance and mindset coach who's helped top entrepreneurs, executives, and high achievers break through the internal barriers that keep them stuck.Itamar's got a fascinating background — from serving in the Israeli Special Forces to working as a federal agent, and now coaching elite performers across the globe. His new book, Elite Performance, dives deep into what it really takes to achieve audacious goals — not by doing more, but by winning the war within. In this conversation, we unpack how to create psychological freedom, build guardrails to protect what matters most, and remove the “performance anchors” that quietly weigh us down. One of the biggest truths Itamar drops in this episode is that clarity creates freedom. When you know exactly what you want not what others expect of you , you can channel your energy toward what truly matters. He also explains how humility plays a powerful role in success. Sometimes, we hold on to toxic relationships, outdated beliefs, or unnecessary responsibilities out of guilt or pride. But real growth happens when we have the courage to let go of what no longer serves us.We also talk about the balance between ambition and peace. So many people dull their drive because they're afraid of the sacrifices success might demand. But Itamar flips that mindset. He shares how putting up the right guardrails boundaries that protect your health, relationships, and well-being that actually gives you the permission to go all in without fear. Think of it like bowling with bumpers — you can give it everything you've got, knowing you won't crash into the gutter.Another key takeaway: performance = skill + pressure management. Most people think they need to work harder, but Itamar reminds us that high performance often comes down to how well you handle internal pressure. If you can learn to modulate that stress — to breathe, recalibrate, and stay composed under fire — you can achieve more with less effort and enjoy the process along the way.If you've ever felt torn between chasing your dreams and staying grounded, this episode is your roadmap. It's about reclaiming your ambition without losing your peace. What does Happy Hustlin mean to you?Sustainable that you get to wake up again, there's obviously challenging days, but you get to say when you're 70 when you're 80, I did things the right way. Today's talk reminds us that most of life's battles are won or lost in the mind, and the life we live is a reflection of the thoughts we think. By identifying lies that hold us captive and replacing them with God's truth, we can renew our minds, break strongholds, and live in the freedom Jesus has already won for us.
What's holding you back? In this episode, Randy digs into The War of Art by Steven Pressfield, a book that calls out the monster of procrastination. Pressfield calls it “the resistance,” the fear that keeps us from doing what we're meant to do. Randy shares powerful quotes about how to push through fear, take action, and finally do the work. If you've got a dream, a project, or even a relationship you've been putting off, this episode will inspire you to stop waiting and start moving.

When you've had enough, God is enough. In Part 3, uncover a simple daily practice to exchange anxious thoughts for God's peace and learn how to win the battle in your mind one day at a time.
You can't always control what happens to you—but you can control how you frame it. In Part 2 of Winning The War in Your Mind, Chris unpacks how the stories we tell ourselves shape the way we live, and how reframing our perspective through God's truth can bring clarity and peace, even when life doesn't go the way we planned.Next Steps:
This week Steve completed the summer series on Pride and Humility, teaching out of James 4:1-10, on how to humble ourselves before God as we move past story and parable to the Word of God.
In this powerful message, we're challenged to confront our fears head-on through the lens of faith. Drawing inspiration from Acts 4, we see how the early church faced intimidation and threats, yet emerged stronger through unity and prayer. The key lesson here is that fear is often a lie, and the truth of God's word is our most potent weapon against it. We're reminded that just as the disciples found strength in community, we too need to surround ourselves with fellow believers who can pray with us, remind us of God's promises, and help put our problems into perspective. The empty tomb serves as a powerful symbol of Christ's victory over our greatest fears – sin and death. This message urges us to breathe in God's presence, exhale our worries, and trust in His sovereignty. It's a call to live courageously, not by the absence of fear, but by the presence of faith that fills us and makes us unshakeable in the face of life's challenges.
