Can Tefillin Be Worn Again After Musaf on Rosh Hodesh for a Berit Mila?

Can Tefillin Be Worn Again After Musaf on Rosh Hodesh for a Berit Mila? Rosh Hodesh presents a unique halachic situation. On one hand, it is a semi-Yom Tob , and thus many customs are softened or adjusted. On the other hand, Tefillin are not typically worn during Musaf , as the spiritual "Ot" (sign) of the day is already present in the Musaf offering itself. So what happens when a Berit Mila takes place after Musaf on Rosh Hodesh —can the Tefillin be worn again? Tefillin and Musaf on Rosh Hodesh: What's the Rule? On Rosh Hodesh: Tefillin are worn throughout Shaharit until Musaf . Before Musaf begins , it is customary to remove Tefillin out of respect for the added sanctity of the day. This is based on the idea that Rosh Hodesh has its own "sign"—its Korban Musaf —and we do not "add a sign upon a sign." This is the standard Halacha practiced in both Ashkenazi and Sephardi communities. But What If There Is a Berit Mila After Musaf? If a Berit Mila takes place after Musaf , the question arises: may one put Tefillin back on to enhance the Misva? The answer is: Yes . Hacham Ovadia Yosef, the Ben Ish Hai, and many Poskim rule that one may put Tefillin back on after Musaf for the sake of a Berit Mila . Since the Berit Mila itself is a sign ( Ot ), the Tefillin complement and enhance it. This is not considered adding a sign upon a sign because the Misva of the Berit changes the framework—you're wearing Tefillin not for the day, but for the ceremony. How Should One Do This? Wash hands (Netilat Yadayim) before putting the Tefillin back on. Say Shema Yisrael or learn a small amount of Torah while wearing them. Remove them immediately after the ceremony concludes. Important: One does not recite a new Beracha when re-wearing the Tefillin in this context. The act is an enhancement, not a fresh fulfillment of the daily obligation. What If Someone Already Removed Their Tefillin? If the person already removed Tefillin after Shaharit or Musaf, he may still put them back on for the purpose of the Berit , as long as it's shortly thereafter and not hours later. However, it's ideal to delay removing Tefillin until after the Berit if one knows in advance that a Brit will be taking place. Summary: On Rosh Hodesh, Tefillin are removed before Musaf. If a Berit Mila occurs after Musaf, one may re-wear Tefillin for the ceremony. No Beracha is recited, and they should be removed after the Berit ends.

Should Tefillin Be Worn During a Berit Mila—and Do All Attendees Share in the Misva?

Should Tefillin Be Worn During a Berit Mila—and Do All Attendees Share in the Misva? A Berit Mila is one of the holiest events in Jewish life, symbolizing the covenant between Hashem and Am Yisrael. Tefillin, too, are a sign of this covenant. So when a Berit Mila takes place during or after Shaharit, should one continue wearing Tefillin for the ceremony? And is the Misva of the Berit shared by all who are present? Are Tefillin and Berit Mila Connected? Yes. Both Tefillin and Berit Mila are called an "Ot"—a sign of the Jewish people's bond with Hashem: Berit Mila is the physical covenant, marked on the body. Tefillin are a daily reaffirmation of that covenant, worn on the body as a public declaration. The Zohar teaches that these "signs" complement each other, and the greater the combination of "Otot" present, the stronger the spiritual impact. Should One Keep Tefillin On During the Berit? Yes— ideally, a person should keep his Tefillin on during the entire Berit Mila ceremony , even if it takes place after Shaharit has ended. This applies even if the Berit occurs after Musaf on a weekday or Rosh Hodesh (more on that in the next Halacha). Keeping the Tefillin on during the Berit adds to the holiness of the moment. Many great Rabbis, including Hacham Ben Zion Abba Shaul, would be careful not to remove their Tefillin until the Berit was completed. Exception: If it is extremely late and the person must go to work or is in discomfort, he may remove them after Tefilla—but if possible, it is praiseworthy to wait. Does Every Attendee Share in the Misva? Absolutely. According to many Rishonim and Aharonim: The Misva is not only on the father and Mohel. All those present —men standing respectfully and celebrating the moment— are rewarded for participating in the Misva . Rav Hida writes that being present for a Berit Mila is like joining in a public Kiddush Hashem. Therefore, remaining in Tefillin and treating the Berit with reverence—even as a bystander—brings spiritual reward. Extra Care During the Ceremony Because the Tefillin are on during the Berit: One should avoid casual chatter. Try to stand respectfully and listen to the Berachot. If possible, recite verses of Torah quietly or say Tehillim until the ceremony concludes. Summary: Tefillin should remain on during a Berit Mila whenever possible—even after Shaharit. All those present share in the Misva—not just the father or Mohel. Wearing Tefillin during the ceremony enhances its holiness and connects the covenant of the body (Berit) with the covenant of the mind and heart (Tefillin).

Catalyst Church of Carrollton - 6/23/25 "Why Are You Settling?" “When the boys became men, Esau was a good hunter, out in the fields. Jacob was a quiet man. He stayed near to the tents. Isaac liked to eat the meat from the wild animals that Esau killed. So he loved Esau. But Rebekah loved Jacob. One day, Jacob was cooking a meal. Esau came back from the country. He was very hungry. He said to Jacob ‘Quick, let me have some of that red food! I am very hungry.' (That is why Esau was also called Edom.) Jacob said, ‘You must first sell me your birthright.' Esau said, ‘Look, I am so hungry that I will die. Then my birthright will not help me at all!' Jacob said, ‘First, make a serious promise to me.' So Esau promised to sell his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and the soup made from lentils. Esau ate the food and he drank. Then he got up and he left. In that way, Esau showed that he did not think that his birthright was important.” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭25‬:‭27‬-‭34‬ ‭EASY‬‬ You become consumed by the chase and grow numb to the things of God. Worn out by the pursuit, you settle and trade what matters most for what feels urgent in the moment. You settle when you strive to earn what God has already given you.

Fear vs Faith

God tells us not to be afraid BUT to trust Him--so fear and faith are opposites. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" (Josh 1:9). "Say to those who are fearful-hearted, 'Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you'" (Isaiah 35:4). "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10). "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you" (Isaiah 43:1-2). "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." (2 Tim 1:7). "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you" (Deut 31:6). "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Ps 27:1). "I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears." (Ps 34:4). Faith (and trust) work through love, and when we understand His love, we cannot also fear (or doubt): "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:31-32). "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18). "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27). "...but faith work(s) through love" (Gal 5:6). "...cast(ing) all your care upon Him, for He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). "And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." (Heb 11:6). "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths" (Prov 3:5-6). If you REALLY believe that you have what you ask when you pray, there will be no fear... because you believe you already have it. "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them" (Matt 11:23-24). "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb 11:1). So you should be in rest, no matter what happens between when you ask and when you see it. Even if trials arise, you should still be in rest: "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work. that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways" (James 1:2-8). "There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His" (Heb 4:9-10). When Satan comes to try to steal from you, resist: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you" (1 Peter 5:8-10). "Resist the devil and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones" (Prov 3:7-8). "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore" (Eph 6:13-14). Lack of fear (and thus, faith) is evidence to Satan that you're going to win: "and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God" (Phil 1:28). "For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith." (1 John 5:4). If it's been a long time coming, do not give up: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life" (Prov 13:12). "Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart" (Gal 6:9). But instead, keep your eyes on the Lord, and not on your problem: David did this, when he encouraged himself in the Lord after Ziklag and his men threatened to stone him: 1 Sam 30:1-8 "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matt 11:28-30, Msg translation) "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10) "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Heb 12:1-2). Full Text of ReadingsMonday of the Fifth Week of Easter Lectionary: 285The Saint of the day is Saint Theophilus of CorteSaint Theophilus of Corte's Story If we expect saints to do marvelous things continually and to leave us many memorable quotes, we are bound to be disappointed with Saint Theophilus. The mystery of God's grace in a person's life, however, has a beauty all its own. Theophilus was born in Corsica of rich and noble parents. As a young man, he entered the Franciscans and soon showed his love for solitude and prayer. After admirably completing his studies, he was ordained and assigned to a retreat house near Subiaco. Inspired by the austere life of the Franciscans there, he founded other such houses in Corsica and Tuscany. Over the years, he became famous for his preaching as well as his missionary efforts. Though he was always somewhat sickly, Theophilus generously served the needs of God's people in the confessional, in the sickroom, and at the graveside. Worn out by his labors, he died on June 17, 1740. He was canonized in 1930. Reflection There is a certain dynamism in all the saints that prompts them to find ever more selfless ways of responding to God's grace. As time went on, Theophilus gave more and more single-hearted service to God and to God's sons and daughters. Honoring the saints will make no sense unless we are thus drawn to live as generously as they did. Their holiness can never substitute for our own. Saint of the Day, Copyright Franciscan Media

We are all looking for a bit of relief. Some pain relief, relief from stress, the relief of getting the kids off to school or maybe to bed on time. But do we think of God's grace as the big relief? In this episode, we welcome back David Zahl, of Mockingbird Ministries. David introduces his new book titled The Big Relief: The Urgency of Grace for a Worn-Out World, which focuses on how God's grace is the ultimate relief we all seek in our stress-filled lives. They discuss various aspects of grace, including forgiveness, imputation, and surrender, and how these can alleviate the modern pressures of status anxiety and the demand for control. The conversation delves into the importance of recognizing suffering and offering consolation through the grace of God. David also shares insights on creating church communities that provide relief rather than additional burdens.00:00 Introduction: Seeking Relief00:39 Guest Introduction: David Zahl01:24 The Urgency of Grace02:56 Grace in a Pressure Cooker World06:11 Defining Grace: The Big Relief08:49 Forgiveness: Relief from Regret14:03 Imputation: Relief from Status Anxiety21:00 Surrender: Relief from Control27:09 Cultivating Communities of Relief30:10 Conclusion and FarewellStay Connected: Check out our Attaching to God 6-Week Learning Cohort. Because Somebody Prayed1 John 5:14–15 “And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.”I love this verse because God is reminding us that we can trust Him. He reminds us that if we ask anything according to his will, He hears us, and if we know that he hears us, then we know we have obtained the request made of him. I don't know about you, but I can get caught up in the part that says, according to his will. I have asked the Lord for many things, and I don't think that he has given them to me. I get frustrated when I am praying for someone, and I remember that God said if we ask in Jesus' name, then anything we ask for will be given to us.I know that God's ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts greater than our thoughts, and yet it is still frustrating when we can't understand what is going on. It is frustrating when we think we know exactly what we need or what we want and we ask the Lord, we beg the Lord and it just seems like He is not listening. If you have struggled with this, let me share with you what has helped me understand it a little better.Have your kids, your nieces/nephews, or your friends' kids ever asked for something that seemed really important to them? They asked for something that they really want, and to them, it is something that they have to have. They have given it thought, and they know it is the best thing for them. Yet, you know it is not good for them at all. You only know this because you have been where they are and things didn't end well. You have seen where this thing will take them, and it isn't anywhere good. For instance, your child, or a child you are close to, wants to drop out of school. They have given it thought, and they will get a job at the local grocery store or fast food restaurant. They are tired of all the work they need to do at school and don't want to do it anymore. However, you can see that it is not the best choice for them. You can see how that one choice will limit so many other choices about their future. They are begging you to let them drop out, and yet you know it is not really best for them. This is what I think of when I think of God answering our prayers. Good thing He doesn't give us everything we ask for because sometimes, just like our kids, we ask for some things that are not good for us. We ask for things that we think we want, but God knows we don't really want them. For instance, we might think we want a new job, but then we find out the new job has a lot of travel, or the boss isn't a nice person. God shields us from so many things that we aren't even aware of because he is shielding us from them. He does this because He is a good Father.I heard a song on the way to adoration his morning, and you know how much I love songs. I wanted to share the lyrics of this one with you today because it talks about how important prayer is. The song is titled “Somebody Prayed,” and it is sung by Crowder. The song begins:Every night there by your bedYou fold your hands and bow your headThrowing out another prayer in faithWhen you're wondering if He's hearing youLook at me, I'm living proofI'm only right where I am todayBecause somebody prayedThese lyrics remind us that when we pray and do not see results, we can look at those around us and be confident that if God answers their prayers, He will answer ours, too. I think it is vital to remember that the answers to our prayers may not look like we want them to and may not come in the timing we want them to. I like how Crowder can realize that the reason he is where he is today is because his mom prayed for him a lot. So I hit my knees 'cause I'veSeen all Heaven move (don't matter if you hit rock bottomMy God pick you up when you call Him.)I pray, "Father, please" 'cause I'veSeen what He can do (don't matter if the storm cloud comingMy God come through when you call Him)I love this verse too because it says that it doesn't matter if you hit rock bottom because God will pick you up when you call Him. This reminds us that we are never too far down for God to pick us back up again. It also says it doesn't matter if the storm cloud is coming because God will come through when we call Him. Crowder says he has seen all heaven move, and he has seen what our heavenly Father can do.You might be in a storm right now, or you might be at your lowest point yet. Either way, you can rest assured that when you call on the Lord, He is going to answer that call. He is going to lift you up out of that pit or get you safely through that storm. That is just who He is. If you wonder if this is true, look around you at all the people you know who are struggling, or the ones who were struggling and have made it through to the other side.  They were not alone. God helped them, and if he helped them, he can help you too! These hands have no powerThere ain't an hour He don't come throughThat's why when mountains move, I say"Looks like somebody prayed”This verse is reminding us that we can do nothing without God. He is our source of power. He is our Savior. This is why, when something amazing happens in our lives, we should automatically know that someone was praying for us. Our default should be to thank God and to thank whoever was praying for us. Sometimes we think that because we didn't pray, then it wasn't God who helped us. However, there are so many people praying all the time. There were many saints who would send up prayers for anyone who needed them. Or they would pray for those who had no one else to pray for them. You might have a whole army of people praying for you, and yet you might not even know it.For instance, when someone asks me for prayer I usually ask my parents to also pray for them because I know my parents are mighty prayer warriors. I also ask my prayer group to pray, my Encounter Ministry fellow students, and the prayer line at my church. Then sometimes I would also add their request to these three online prayer requests websites, one of which is the Lourdes website. Do you see how someone could have a whole army of people praying for them and not even know it?For the child of God that's far from homeThe one who thinks they're too far goneI'm throwing out another prayer in faith (prayer in faith)Worn-out altars, tear-stained pewsStill I won't give up on youI believe that anything can changeWhen somebody praysI love this verse because he is talking to anyone who feels like they are far from home. Anyone who feels like they are too far gone. Then he tells them that he is praying for them. We all need to be praying for those who are far from home and think they are too far gone. There is no too far gone with the Lord. He is always willing to take us back. He is always waiting for us to realize that and to come home. I love it when he says he won't give up on us because he believes that anything can change when somebody prays. This is an important thing for us all to believe. It is so true. Anything can change when somebody prays. The enemy often tries to make us believe that our situation is too bad and that there is no solution. He tries to convince us that we don't need to pray because there isn't anything God can do for anyone. There isn't anything anyone can do. This is ridiculous! God can do anything! We might not see a way out, we might not think things can get better, but God can always make a way, even when we can't see how. It is always worth it to say a prayer. It can make all the difference in the world. Sometimes God is just waiting for you to ask. He is waiting for you to invite Him into it all. Why wouldn't we want God to be in all of it?I've seen miracles come from feeble wordsI've seen hospital rooms turned into cathedralsI've seen freedom come to the prisonerYou can't tell me that prayer don't workThe first line says, “I've seen miracles come from feeble words.” Do you know why I love this? I love it because it reminds us that we don't have to know what to say. We don't have to pray these long, eloquent prayers. We don't have to ask for the exact thing or say the exact right words in order for our prayers to be answered. It's not like in all those movies about making a wish on a genie in a bottle. If you don't get the wording perfectly, then something bad happens. God is not like that. We don't have to know the perfect thing to say. We just have to call upon his name and ask him for what we want.It goes on to say, “I've seen hospital rooms turned into cathedrals.” I think what he means by this is that hospital rooms can be a powerful place for prayer. Sitting by a loved one's bedside can prompt people to pray more. It can also help us to be bold and ask for more from the Lord. Desperation to save our loved ones can be a powerful motivator. He also says, I've seen freedom come to the prisoner.  This is another great result of prayer. You might know someone who is stuck in their past. They may be an actual prisoner in jail, or they may be a prisoner to guilt, shame, and unforgiveness. Either way, prayers can free them from their prison. I have seen it happen many times!!The song ends with:So every night there by your bedWhen you fold your hands and bow your headNot a single word you've ever said in vain'Cause He hears everythingI like this verse too because it reminds us that not a single word you've ever said is in vain. When we pray to God, He hears us. We can be confident in this, just as the scripture verse for today reminds us. God hears it all, whether you are in church praying or you are crying out to him in your car. Wherever you are, no matter how far gone you think you are, He always hears every word of it, and none of it was said in vain. He hears you and He will answer your prayers according to his will and according to His timing.Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless all those listening today. Lord, we love you, and we want to bring all of our requests to you now. Lord, we ask that you give us some understanding of your ways and why our prayers appear not to have been answered for so long.  Help us be patient, Lord. Help us to keep coming back and asking the Lord. Help us to see where in our lives you have answered prayers. We love you Lord and we are so grateful for all you do for us. We are sorry if we take you for granted. We ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus's holy name, Amen!Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. I look forward to meeting you here again tomorrow. Remember, Jesus loves you just as you are, and so do I. Our dental instruments, especially when it comes to our hygiene department, are the backbone of our practice, but when they start to lose their edge, the question arises: should you retip, sharpen, replace them, or even switch to sharpen-free instruments? Each option has its pros and cons, and making the right decision can significantly impact your practice's efficiency, budget, and patient care quality. To help us make the right decision when it comes to our instrument maintenance is Emily Boge. Emily blends her extensive experience in dental hygiene and dental assisting with a dual Doctorate in Education and Organizational Leadership to provide education to entry level and licensed dental practitioners. It's not hard to make fine gearhead talk (TM) when the world lines 'em up like this: wicked and nasty Mercedes W196R Stromlinienwagen nets $54 mill on the block (and why modern go-fast cars can't hold a candle to the brutal elegance and sexual attractiveness of the classics), more failures of modern OEs as they try to avoid testing their hardware before selling it (and why WE aren't going out like a guinea pig), how BYD's going to use AI to make their customer experience ever worse, another story about how nothing makes things worse than the government, and how to avoid letting bad writers ruin good opportunities for gearhead behavior. While we're at it: cyborgs versus robots, STi versus 911, securing your home with smart children (and a kid from Kentucky who did just that), gardening for the head, sun tea for the old growlers, John Paul Jones on "Zooma", and an Excellent Weirdo R.I.P. for Air Force ace Bud Anderson.

Today, we're getting into the raw, unvarnished terrain of human longing - that aching space where despair meets unexpected grace. I'm excited to welcome back David Zahl on the podcast. He isn't here to offer another self-help platitude, but to explore something far more profound: how we find relief in a world that constantly demands more, faster, better. Imagine grace not as a churchy concept, but as a radical interruption - a surprising breath of fresh air in a culture suffocating on its own expectations. We'll talk about play, productivity, regret, and those moments when God whispers, "You are more than your achievements." This conversation is a map for the weary, a compass for those feeling crushed by life's relentless pressures. We'll explore how grace shows up in unexpected places - through music, through suffering, through the simple act of truly listening. If you've ever felt overwhelmed, stuck, or like you're perpetually running on an endless treadmill, this conversation is your permission to breathe. To rest. To receive. So join us as we figure out what it means to be human in a world that rarely slows down.David Zahl is the founder and director of Mockingbird Ministries, editor-in-chief of the Mockingbird website (www.mbird.com), and co-host of both The Mockingcast and The Brothers Zahl podcasts. He and his family live in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he also serves on the staff of Christ Episcopal Church. Zahl is the author of Seculosity: How Career, Parenting, Technology, Food, Politics, and Romance Became Our New Religion and What To Do About It and Low Anthropology: The Unlikely Key to a Gracious View of Others (and Yourself). His next book, The Big Relief: The Urgency of Grace for a Worn-Out World comes out in April 2025 from Brazos Press. His writing has been featured in The Washington Post, Christianity Today, and The Guardian, among other venues.David's Book:The Big ReliefDavid's Recommendations:Evangelism in an Age of DespairMeditations for MortalsSubscribe to Our Substack: Shifting CultureConnect with Joshua: jjohnson@allnations.usGo to www.shiftingculturepodcast.com to interact and donate. We don't make the news; we merely report and dissect it. So it's not our fault that this week's episode focuses quite a bit on some older topics come alight, starting with a new Helldivers 2 postmortem. Developer Arrowhead's CEO recently gave an interview, displaying a surprising level of accountability and levelheadedness about the ups and downs of their mega-popular game. Then, we talk a whole lot about Nintendo, because literally half of our listener inquiries this week were on the topic of Switch 2. Switch's successor is a mere months away, and while there's no doubt a lot of excitement, there also seems to exist an unusual amount of skepticism, and even anger and animosity. Will Nintendo be able to capture its first generation-to-generation success story since NES and SNES? Or are we looking at more of the same-old same-old? After, we get into rumors of yet another The Last of Us-related re-release, a mysterious physical edition at a premium price, but with contents unknown. Have we had enough, already? Other news includes data on Xbox's publishing performance on PS5, fresh sales and player numbers for the likes of Death Stranding and Atomfall, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! With the reveal of The Duskbloods on Switch 2 and because there's no Bloodborne news seemingly ever, is it clear that FromSoft has beef with Sony? Should we be worried about the survival of Ubisoft's studio Massive, and thus the future of The Division? Are physical game gimmicks getting awfully close to jumping the shark? How did we accidentally appear in a popular YouTube series about bad drivers? Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement.
