Amber D (born 1982) is a British hard dance DJ from Staffordshire. As Amber D'Amour she plays electro, fidget, and tech house She has been a DJ since late 2001. Her first residency was at the legendary Golden, in Hanley Stoke-on-Trent, where she used to warm up for DJs such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, K-Klass, Mauro Picotto, and she then DJ'd on BPM Radio and at BPM parties.  In 2002, she won a DJ Competition at Fluffy, and started a residency at the club. She has released records with dance labels such as Tidy Trax, Kiddfectious, and Riot!, and has DJ'd internationally, including in Ibiza. She did an Essential Mix live on BBC Radio 1 in 2005.  She was “Mixmag Future Hero” in 2004, and one of her tracks was in the top 4 at the Hard Dance Awards 2008. She also had the biggest selling EP of all time on Tidy Trax in the shape of the Amber D EP that was released in 2008.    She now runs five record labels, D'Amour Recordings (electro house), D-Day Recordings (Tech, Euro Hard Trance and Hardstyle), D'Licious Recordings (UK hard house & hard dance), D'Licious HARD (Nu NRG and Harder House), and DirtyByDeisgn (Deep House / Tech House). She trained as a classical pianist and has a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology and is currently studying at University. She married Lee Haslam, another DJ, in August 2008, but they have since divorced.    As of 2021 Amber continues to DJ, including on Twitch, and is also an ambassador for mental health, doing regular livestreams talking and connecting with her fans She is also a Radio Presenter at LDC Radio (Leeds Dance Community Radio) and her show is every Friday 23:00 - 01:00. My guest this week is Paul Roberts from Electronic group, K-Klass K-Klass, who formed in Manchester back in 1991, enjoyed great success in the mid 90s, scoring five top 40 hits on the UK singles chart. After 36 years, group are still going strong, regularly performing live and DJing at various festivals and club nights. We discuss the making of K-Klass' biggest hit "Rhythm Is A Mystery”. Legendary Manchester nightclub, The Haçienda, where the guys met and what it was like recording music in a converted military bunker. TRUE HOUSE STORIES WITH FARLEY & HELLER INTERVIEW BY LENNY FONTANA PODCAST 025 (PART 2) Respected UK dance music producers and remixers, Terry Farley and Pete Heller initially found success in the UK in the early 90s. Londoner Terry Farley was a fan of Studio One reggae and ska before becoming involved with the London soul club scene during the 80s. Pete Heller grew up on the south coast of England and began his musical career by Djing in a Brighton discotheque, playing disco, hip-hop and house. After playing warm-up sets for Danny Rampling, Heller and Andrew Weatherall formed the Boy's Own collective, running a fanzine, Boy's Own club nights and eventually a record label - Junior Boy's Own. Farley and Heller's initial productions as a team with Hugo Nicholson were released as Bocca Juniors. Since then, they have remixed for many artists including Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, Sunscreem, K-Klass, Simply Red, New Order, U2, Janet Jackson, Boy George, and the Pet Shop Boys. Their own productions have appeared under the name Fire Island and have been hugely popular on the club scene. As Fire Island, they covered Machine's 1979 classic ‘There But For The Grace Of God'. Their 1997 recording ‘Ultra Flava' was a huge hit in European clubs and Ibiza and eventually became a UK Top 40 hit when the vocals of Ultra Naté were added. In 1999, Heller's track ‘Big Love' was signed to Pete Tong's London Records and quickly became ubiquitous on European dancefloors (especially those in Ibiza) before entering the UK charts at number 12. Building on their reputation as excellent club DJs, they also mixed Late Night Sessions for the Ministry

Party Favorz is back with our final funky disco house shit set of the year and it's chock full of Disco House Music treasures. We always look forward to new music from Purple Disco Machine and his original track with Mind Enterprises "Exotica" fills that void. The songs has a fairly simple pulsating electronic beat complete with a vocoder to give it an 80's futuristic feel. After several listens — it became clear to me that PDM needs to collaborate with Pet Shop Boys for a match made in heaven. [youtube v="WHfdxHIy0m8"] Another personal favorite is Mark Knight and Jem Cooke's "Drowning In the Dark." It appears this song is not getting the attention it deserves so I'm here to plug it because it steps out of the more progressive work Mark has been putting out for awhile now and drowns us in an ocean disco delights. DJ Meme is back with Inaya Day and Aline Rocha on the wonderful "Satisfy" where Yam Who? reworks the original into a crowd pleaser. There's lot's of classic reworks and samples in this set like Liquid Gold's "Dance Yourself Dizzy" where you'd never know it from the original, Kurd Maverick & The Cube Guys' "It's Not Over" samples the First Choice classic "Let No Man Put Asunder" (more on these ladies coming in 2021), Adri Block & Paul Parsons do faithful housed-up rendition of the Al Wilson Soul classic "Show and Tell" that delivers in spades, and Christopher Williams & Carolyn Griffey remake the D-Train classic "You're the One For Me" with LEGEND Steve 'Silk' Hurley doing remix honors. Hot on the heels of the Bee Gees documentary that debuts on HBO on Saturday, Ian Ossia is back with a total rework of "You Should Be Dancing" bringing the massive disco classic into the 21st century with "Moves At Midnight." Overall, this set much more soulful than previous efforts while retaining its disco roots, which is perfect for escaping from the hell that is 2020. We're not quite done with the year just yet.
