We are more than overcomers through Him who loves us. Jesus gave very specific promises to those who overcomes, but we will never be able to overcome in our own strength. Instead, we overcome by resting in the love of Christ. It is by keeping an open heart and receiving His love that an overcoming lifestyle grows as a fruit! In this stirring and deeply encouraging Advent message, Pastor Karl launches the new series The King Has Come with a powerful exploration of the first great gift Jesus brings: hope.Turning to Luke 2 and the quiet, largely forgotten figures of Simeon and Anna, Pastor Karl paints a vivid picture of two elderly saints who spent decades waiting in faithful obscurity—praying unanswered prayers, worshiping through silence, and serving without recognition. Yet the moment a 40-day-old baby was carried into the temple, their Spirit-illuminated eyes saw what the crowds missed: the long-promised Messiah, the Consolation of Israel, the Redemption of Jerusalem.Through their story, Pastor Karl reveals that biblical hope is not wishful thinking; it is the confident, unshakable expectation of future good rooted in the unchanging character and faithfulness of God. Hope grows in the hidden soil of daily faithfulness, thrives when God chooses to work in silence, and celebrates the tiny seed because it already trusts the coming harvest. Simeon and Anna never saw Jesus preach, heal, or rise from the dead—yet they held the infant King and departed in peace, because they knew who He was long before they saw what He would do.A tender yet convicting word for everyone who has waited a long time and is still waiting, prayed a long time and is still praying, and hoped a long time and is still hoping. In a season that can feel rushed and noisy, this message calls us to slow down, stay faithful, and train our eyes to recognize the presence of the King—even when He shows up wrapped in the ordinary, the small, and the seemingly insignificant.Because the King has come, hope is not dead. It is alive, resilient, and bubbling up in every heart that keeps showing up and keeps looking for Jesus. In this episode of The Mountain Podcast, Samuel Goulet continues on week 5 on the theme of “Design & Purpose,” emphasizing that every believer is made to share Christ with others. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 5:11–21, he explains that receiving Christ naturally leads to giving Christ, and that the love of Jesus should be the controlling force in our lives, freeing us from fear, resentment, and selfishness. Samuel outlines five practical ways to live out this calling—intercession, evangelism, counsel, edification, and restoration—encouraging listeners to be active ministers of reconciliation, to build up and restore others, and to let the love of Christ mobilize them to serve and impact those around them.

Heart Speaks to Heart: The Love of Christ in the Eucharist Today's Homily centers on St. Paul's teaching that to truly know God's love, . . . . . . one must be rooted and grounded in it . . . not merely observing from a distance but living within it. The Homily then turns to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, whose mystical experiences of Christ's Sacred Heart revealed the depth of His love and sorrow at being loved so little in return. Through her, Jesus emphasized that devotion to His Heart is inseparable from devotion to His Eucharistic Presence. He lamented the neglect and indifference shown toward the Blessed Sacrament, even by those consecrated to Him, and called for reparation through time spent with Him in prayer and adoration. Heart Speaking to Heart From her quiet convent, this message gave rise to practices such as the First Friday devotion, Holy Hours of Reparation, and the simple yet profound habit of “visiting the Lord” in the tabernacle. The reflection concludes that true devotion to the Sacred Heart is not symbolic or sentimental, but an active, personal engagement . . . heart speaking to heart . . . in which Christ's love calls to the depths of our own hearts. Many people miss the love of Jesus because they think: “Happiness is found only when I am free to live for myself.” Pastor Colin talks about the misery of this position and the hope of breaking free from it.
How can you have a deeper experience of the love of Christ? Some would say “rededication” or “more discipline.” Pastor Colin explains the Bible's answer to this question.
In this powerful episode of The Compelled Podcast, Emma Mae McDaniel walks through the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10, reminding us that loving God and loving people cannot be separated. With heartfelt encouragement and biblical insight, Emma challenges us to see the people around us, be moved with compassion, and live generously—because this is what it means to be a neighbor. As she unpacks Jesus' words, “Go and do likewise,” she points us back to the sacrificial, steadfast love of Christ that first saw, pursued, and gave everything for us. https://www.emmamaemcdaniel.com/books Learn more about your ad choices. In this powerful message, we're reminded of the urgency of our spiritual awakening. Drawing from Romans 13, we're called to 'wake up from our spiritual complacency' and recognize that our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The central theme revolves around knowing our time and being ready to act on God's prompting. We're challenged to be disciples who know who they are and what to do, embracing ministry in our everyday lives. The message emphasizes that God has always known us and has a plan for each of us, regardless of our past mistakes. We're encouraged to step out in faith, one decision at a time, trusting that God has already seen the life we could have. This overview leaves us pondering: Are we ready to let Jesus interrupt our lives and use us to reach others?

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives. Here are the promises we covered this week. 1 John 5:4 – Faith that Overcomers. Psalm 118:29 – I Am Thankful for God's Goodness. Psalm 37:23-24 – God Picks Me Up When I Fall. Ephesians 3:20 – I Have God's Abundant Power in Me. John 15:9 – I Dwell in the Love of Christ.
Today's Promise: John 15:9 If there is one word that summarizes the Gospel, it's love. From the beginning, love was the central theme of Christianity. God loves you so much that He gave His Son. Jesus said, as much as God loves Him, He loves us. Now here is the twist. Jesus loves you as much as God loves Him. Jesus invites you to live in His love. To "abide" is to connect or rest. We are to rest and "make ourselves at home" in the love of Christ. As you abide in His love, His love flows through you to the world around you.
By leaving the saving news of the Gospel and the saving power of the sacraments to the Church, Jesus put great things into our hands. The apostolic mission of Christians is an extension of Christ's own love for souls. Apostolate, evangelization, becomes natural when we remember, or realize in a deeper way, just how much Christ means to us.
Be intentional on how you love on others
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review this week's promises so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives. Here are the promises we covered this week. Proverbs 2:6-7 – The Lord Gives Wisdom to Those Who Ask. 2 Corinthians 12:10 – When I Am Weak, He is Strong. Romans 15:13 – The Promises of God Bring Hope. Ephesians 3:19 – You Can Know the Love of Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:18 – I Am Reconciled to Jesus.
Today's Promise: Ephesians 3:19 This promise is the third part of a prayer Paul made for the church of Ephesus. We are claiming it for ourselves today. God wants you to know the full love of Christ. He wants more for you than a head knowledge of His love. He wants you to experience the love of Christ that is beyond your ability to comprehend, a love that goes beyond understanding. As Warren Wiersbe said, "As a Christian, you never have to worry about inadequate spiritual resources for day-to-day living." The more you grab hold of God's love, the more you find the abundance of God's presence flowing through your life.
