Welcome to the daily304 – your window into Wonderful, Almost Heaven, West Virginia. Today is Monday, March 18 Today we talk “defense” in the Mountain State. The WV National Guard partners with the African nation of Gabon to help build their democracy. Major Gen. Bill Crane shares what's great about West Virginia. And find out why the defense industry says #YesWV…on today's daily304. #1 – From METRO NEWS – The West Virginia National Guard has been selected to partner with the African nation of Gabon as part of the National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program. Members of the Guard work alongside military officials in partner nations to show them techniques to help people in crises through natural disaster response. There has also been a good relationship to help with the training of many of the military members in those countries. General Bill Crane, head of the West Virginia National Guard, said it's an extremely important relationship to build with young and emerging democracies. “The Governor understands the importance of Africa. It is a very wealthy continent, three and a half times larger than the United States. They are full of natural resources and the United States absolutely wants to make sure the citizens of Africa get the benefit of those resources,” he said. Along with training for disaster preparedness and humanitarian relief, Crane said basic military techniques are also part of the plan. The idea is to develop allies as the democracies mature. Welcome to the very first episode of 2020! It's a brand new decade my friends! Brand new clean chapter ahead of you to create whatever you want, the future that you want! That's why I decided for this episode to share with you some of my personal big lessons, some of my big wins for last year.. Some of my fails for last year and then talk about what I wanna do for this year..So we've said fair well 2019 .. What a year!! There were certain milestones last year that made it outstanding, and it ended up perfectly..First, it did not start as I was hoping for, My mother passed away in January and it was devastating.. then I knew I was pregnant with my second child and I was super excited.. where one life ends, there is another one begins… I was happy and I was teaching my little baby Maryam about how she's gonna take care of her little baby sister/brother , until I learned from my doctor that the baby had no pulse.. I just lost my baby.. I cried,.. I can't lie, I wasn't at my best, I ignored everything, I gained weight, I was sleeping a lot , I ignored my business.. thank god my husband and the team were taking care of our businesses.. But I was in a very low point when I received an email from Dean Graziosi about the biggest training in history with Tony Robbins.. I remember that night I couldn't sleep.. the online training was to be held at 3 AM in the morning my time.. I slept early that day, and I sat the alarm to wake up at 3… and that day changed my life.. Joining Dean Graziosi and Tonny Robbins biggest movement was a life changing.. The Power and the Confidence that I gained, it revived something in me I felt I was unstoppable.. I had every single reason why to quit, or not to believe in my self.. whether its cultural, mental, you name it..i was surrounded by amazing people, very inspiring, and then the roadtrip to self development seemed never ending, I loved the feeling, I loved knowledge and the power I had,I realized that I can share my 20+ years of experience in strategy and finance and business and as a CFO and as an entrepreneur.. I cofounded a hugely successful Software company from scratch with no VC, with zero experience in programming or coding. I built another ecom business and got featured in vogue magazine.. If I can just help one person at a time, I will be making a huge impact in this world.. and this was priceless..That's why I started my 3rd company and its growing, and I am enjoying it more than anything else because its made for a purpose, to change lives and to make an impact and leave a legacy..But since I was never an online person, who cared for fame or visibility.. I built very successful business without me being the center of attention.. I knew that if I want to help people, and share with them some of my powers and knowledge, then I have to be visible for them or else I will be doing them a disservice.. that's why I started to take more courses and I think I got caught with the “Shiny Object Syndrome” buying every course, piling up more information inside my head but not OUT! Something was wrong.. and I noticed the same thing with my peers.. Smart, thoughtful, leaders, with very strong knowledge, feeling paralyzed and not being able to serve their people properly because they're spending their time piling more information instead of sharing it.. that's why I decided to create my platform, and share my voice through this podcast..And Oh boy! It was a magical moment… hitting top of the chart! 1500 downloads in 24 hours, featuring A list celebrity and top notch online gurus! This is where I can call my tribe and show them what I can do for them and how to serve them..My lessons:There was a huge sense of arrival for me, in terms of really being an example of what is possible.. Some people think that I what I achieved is not reasonable or realistic.. But I know myself and I know what I'm capable of, and I know that it's not something that you are not capable of, and there is nothing that I've done that I haven't learned or that is not teachable .. My friend told me, and I am quoting his words: “your natural optimism is a big secret to success”, so I want to share all what I've been through, all what I've learned, for you to know what is possible..I also want to remind you to think about online business just the same as the offline business, go back to fundamentals.. Know your numbers, your financials very well, have a proper business plan and a vision, and reverse engineer it.. Don't have fuzzy targets.. Cut the noise, surround your self with the right people in life and business.. Don't listen to those who haven't done it before… HIRE A COACH! Stand on the shoulders of the giants, do not reinvent the wheel..AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.. THINK BIG! Don't play small… Cuz playing small, will not serve the world..take what served you from 2019. Analyze all your wins, feel the joy, pat yourself on the back, and carry that with you in 2020. Pull the lessons you can learn and throw the rest away. Don't carry any failures, missed opportunities or regrets. So the best way I know how to help you is to give you a behind the scenes into my life, my business because my principles can be applied to your business principles as well. So there will be a lot more of that, a lot more of kind of supporting those of you who are kind of in the race behind me a little bit, maybe a couple of paces back and kind of showing you the way, showing you what I do to handle the challenges that may be coming up for many of you as you grow your businesses. That's what I'm most passionate about.I'll be here on the podcast. I'll be sharing all my learnings with you. A lot of what I've been studying and implementing lately…I am in the middle of writing my first book.. Actually 2 books, that I will share more about them very soon… And I am in the middle of expanding my business to an Empire, which was the biggest takeaway I had from my interview with Elena.. Which is setting aside all the differences with your partner, and focus all your effort to build that empire, and you will do it..So I hope that you enjoyed this episode, if you want to get in touch with me directly, follow me on social media, on facebook and instagram or linkedin.. or if you'd like to schedule a call to discuss your struggles in business and how I can help you accelerate your success, then go to www.reemkharbat.comTalk to you next week everyone with another episode, another interview with the amazing friend Bill Crane.. Speak to you soon guys.
