Talking all about the classic SNK anime flick, Fatal Fury The Motion Picture. Which is really the 3rd in a series, just oddly named. But a fun romp from the yee ole times of limited choices in the 90s. But there at least was always a good flow of fighting game animes to compliment the games. So, come on by and join us on another adventure of OMO Podcast. Old Man Orange is Spencer Scott Holmes & Ryan Dunigan - 2021 - "Young Adults, Old Man Attitude. In this week's episode of Catching Up On Cinema's Anime August event month, Trevor and Kyle sit down for a casual, if not meandering review of Masami Obari's Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture (1994)! The concluding (and only feature length) chapter of a short lived anime series, the film largely serves as a promotional tool for the SNK fighting game series of the same name, as well as that of a platform for gratuitous fanservice. A treasure hunt/chase story in the same vein as Avengers: Infinity War or any of the Indiana Jones films, the film is by no means a lazy effort, boasting a gorgeous soundtrack by Toshihiko Sahashi, and ambitous cinematography on the part of first (and only) time feature director Obari.
Get your quarters ready! Because we're traveling back to the early 1990s -- a time of flashy arcades, fighting games, Saturday Anime, and peak Masami Obari -- to find out whether Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture still possesses the power to... ROCK YOU! Review (19:50) Twitter Questions (1:44:30)

Jason Arriola, Vanessa Cahill, and John Lucero have a palate cleanser with “Pokémon: The Movie 2000: The Power of One”. We know it’s going to be better than “Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture” and “Wing Commander”, but just how high up the list does it make it? Like what you hear? You can support us on Patreon, listen […]
Jason Arriola, Vanessa Cahill, and John Lucero are once again joined by Melissa Diaz. This time, we’re covering something more enjoyable than her last appearance. We needed someone to be the true Sonic supporter on this episode and Melissa definitely filled that need. Thankfully, this wasn’t as rough to get through as Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture was. Like what […]

Subscribers! Be sure to go to the blog to read the description easier & check out links for this episode! This month's episode is another ReView! What is a “ReView” episode, you might ask? Well, it's my highly-clever (ok not really) title for episodes where I go back and watch an older title I haven't seen in a long time, and see if what I remember (and what my opinions on it) are still the same now that some time's gone by. Last month was E3, and we're still getting lots & lots of coverage of upcoming games....so why not take a look back at a 90s anime movie adaptation of a popular fighting game series? Dennis, Diana, Ed, and Kate go over one of Diana's favorite anime titles, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. It's the first title we have all watched dubbed for this podcast. We also go over terrible anime shirts from Hot Topic, Lollapalooza, and Anime Expo background checks.
