Anthony, to Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar!  The Dublin native is an upcoming author who previously published Love of Sacrifice, then rebooted it as The World of Antheric. Some who have known Marcus from school found the news of his book a surprise, as Marcus struggled through school dealing with dyslexia and social anxiety. Marcus lacked focus in his studies and would spend most of his time daydreaming about flying on dragons or waving a wand to cast a spell. Fantasy fueled Marcus's mind. However, it caused him to fall behind in school. He would be exempt from Irish language studies, which was disheartening for him, as he could not translate his country's original language. When Marcus was ten, he suffered from sleep anxiety. So, he decided to use his strong imagination to create ‘movies' in his head that would help him sleep. That was when some of the characters in this novel were created. In the years that followed, the movies in his head developed into a magical world that Marcus could not resist writing about. Creative writing became his passion, and Marcus would not allow his dyslexia to stop him from achieving. He spent most of his teenage years (staying home on weekends) writing and learning until he found his writing style.   Marcus has a great love for animals and supports charities. He is vocal about awareness of animal abuse, which is expressed in the story through Jenin's past experiences. Marcus has four cats: Summer, Junior, Littler, and Leia. In 2017, Marcus fell into a dark spell of generalized anxiety and depression, which delayed the release of his book. The Black Grawth came from his experience with anxiety and panic attacks. And Gaul – the Dark Lord- represented the darkness of depression. With the help of treatment, family, and meditation, Marcus found strength and happiness again and continues to write, drawing inspiration from the world around him.  Since 2024, Marcus J. Anthony has established EliteMJ TV, which started with the original fan fiction series, Pokémon Next Generation. Set 10 years after Ash Ketchum won the Pokémon World Championship, the series follows Johto native Marc Masters, who hero-worships Ash, and travels across Kanto with his friends, Rachel Oak-Stone and Anthony Green.  So far, Marc has earned five gym badges from Forrest (Brock's youngest brother), Rain (Misty's cousin), Sgt. Sara (Lt. Surge's daughter), Skorcha (Blaine's granddaughter), and Erika.  The trio also battled foes in the form of Nastina, Earl, and Blurt, and Team Justice.  In addition to earning gym badges, Marc uncovered a threat that could destroy the Pokémon world: this threat's name is Mew-Z.  This Pokémon is unlike any creature that inhabits this world; it is pure evil. This monstrosity was the brainchild of Team Rocket leader Giovanni and brought to life by the sinister Dr. Yung and Evice, using genes from Mew, Mewtwo, Zygarde, and unknown factors.  While it is powerful, Mew-Z has not reached its final form.   According to Looker, for Mew-Z to reach its full potential, it must absorb both Mew and Mewtwo in one hour. The creature has begun hunting down mythical and legendary Pokémon, as well as Zygarde cells, to boost its power. Both Jirachi and Tapu Koko have fallen victim to this monstrosity.  He is also growing a following and assisting him with his misdeeds are Evice and a mysterious, red-haired woman named Commander, who kidnapped both Ash Ketchum and Pikachu at the series' beginning.  On the 425th edition of Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar, Marcus J. Global figures suggest living shopping will tip an eye-watering US$2 trillion by 2030 and hit $1 trillion this year. It’s already revolutionising retail in Asian markets: Live shopping in China represents 80 per cent of the incremental growth in the ecommerce sector. A big driver for this gamified commerce phenomenon? FOMO. Per eBay research, almost half of Australians (48%) are driven by fear of missing out in their shopping habits, and one in two say they’ve missed out on coveted limited edition or rare items they would have liked to have purchase. With such insights to hand, eBay Live launched in Australia just in time for Christmas, coupling the livestream broadcasting format with its goods marketplace. First port of call: The growing collectables audience of buyers and sellers on its platform (30 per cent of Australians are collectors). Over the last 3-4 years, eBay took a position that it wasn’t going to be a marketplace for everyone and everything, says eBay head of marketing and communications, Zannie Abbott. Core categories for eBay include car parts and accessories, pre-loved fashion and the ballooning category of collectibles and trading cards. “There are other places where you can buy your tissues and your nappies, but we really are the place to go for the things you love, and we have really doubled down in specific focus categories where we know we have a right to win here locally in Australia,” she says. “There is a perfect synergy around community, commerce and culture as an opportunity that really is ripe for us.” eBay Live has been natively built into the marketplace and app. Users can go straight into a live stream and start bidding and buying, participating in short auction bursts running for just seconds. The local rollout took a snappy six weeks thanks to learnings from US and UK launches, cross-functional collaboration and an “agile” all-in approach to innovation fuelled by a low-ego culture, says Abbott. Trust is at the heart of the offering, continues eBay Live category manager, Eric Chen. Every seller is vetted, handpicked as much for personality and broadcast potential as they are for their selling prowess. Tapping directly into FOMO and culture, eBay chose to make its first Aussie livestream secret, featuring AFL superstar, Buddy Franklin, who auctioned rare, signed AFL trading cards for just $0.01. The global trading card games market is forecast to grow to $18bn in the next five years. “It's incredibly exciting for everyone tuning in at the moment, but that also then turns into content afterwards that reaches a much bigger audience,” Chen says. “We just had a stream last week with Veronica Taylor, who was the original voice of Ash Ketchum for the Pokémon 30th anniversary event. These moments are something we’re able to build through eBay Live, which previously we didn't have a platform for, and create these special moments.” To grow awareness and education, eBay Live’s marketing strategy emphasises owned channels and grassroots connection. It’s leveraged five collectible toy events, undertaking live activations on stage to build momentum, interest and excitement in the entertainment-with-commerce proposition. Using the starting point of behaviour, iProspect national managing director, Marcelle Hoyek, says the agency worked with eBay to identify two audiences: Those ready for Live now, and those who will be ready sometime in future. Live wasn’t an unfamiliar concept, but the habit wasn’t ingrained, she points out. “It all starts with audience and that’s the biggest role we play with eBay when they’re launching something new into market,” she says. “Who's the audience? What are they into? What are their drivers? And what's the opportunity for us? Commercial data is indicating eBay is onto a winner. In the US, one seller sold $1M USD of watches in 3 hours. It is a privilege to welcome author and content creator Marcus J. Anthony to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. It is also an honor that he is making his podcasting debut on my platform. Marcus J. Anthony, an upcoming author from Dublin, Ireland, published the previous version of Love of Sacrifice before rebooting it into The World of Antheric. Some who have known Marcus from school found the news of his book a surprise, as Marcus struggled through school dealing with dyslexia and social anxiety. Marcus lacked focus in his studies and would spend most of his time daydreaming about flying on dragons or waving a wand to cast a spell. Fantasy fueled Marcus's mind. However, it caused him to fall behind in school. He would be exempt from Irish language studies, which was disheartening for him not to be able to translate his countries original language. When Marcus was ten, he suffered from sleep anxiety. So, he decided to use his strong imagination to create 'movies' in his head that would help him sleep. That was when some of the characters in this novel were created. In the years that followed, the movies in his head developed and became a magical world that Marcus could not resist writing. Creative writing became his passion, and Marcus would not allow his dyslexia to stop him from achieving.He spent most of his teenage years (staying home on weekends) writing and learning until he found his writing style. Marcus has a great love for animals and supports charities. He is vocal about the awareness of animal abuse, expressed in the story through Jenin's past experiences. Marcus has four cats: Summer, Junior, Littler, and Leia. In 2017, Marcus fell into a dark spell of generalized anxiety and depression, which delayed the release of his book. The Black Grawth came from his experience with anxiety and panic attacks. And Gaul - the Dark Lord- represented the darkness of depression. With the help of treatment, family, and meditation, Marcus found strength and happiness again and continues to write with the world around him as his inspiration.He is also known as Elite MJ on YouTube and in the content creator community. His original story, Pokémon: The Next Generation, has gained a massive fan following. The story takes place ten years after longtime series protagonist Ash Ketchum captured the World Championship title.  After a devasting Pokémon war, Johto resident Marc Masters begins his journey with his friends, Rachel and Anthony, in Kanto. In this Pokemon interview, we are joined by Out of Context Pokemon, a Pokemon Trainers who creates Pokemon media that is presented out of context.Out of Context Pokemon starts his journey as a young child watching the Pokemon anime. He dives into his interest in watching Ash Ketchum progress through the different regions.It was until Hoenn where Out of Context had his first experience with the games. Out of Context Pokemon compares how different it was playing the Pokemon games compared to watching the anime.
