For our last episode of Season 6 Part 1, we're taking a look at the 3 OVA releases for Heavy Metal L-Gaim. Released between 1986 and 1987, the first two offer recap specials of the TV series alongside original comedy shorts, while the third, Full Metal Soldier, is an original story set during the first half of the show, and it's a real treat if you enjoyed the series as much as we did. Then, we look back on Part 1 of our Tomino-thon with a bunch of fun rankings! We rank each of the 7 shows we reviewed this season, before counting down the craziest Tomino names, best theme songs, and greatest mech designs, as we used to do every year on Weekly Suit Gundam. It's a very fun, very silly episode, as we take stock of the journey so far before continuing on to the second half of our season this fall.  Enjoy! We conducted this interview a few years ago. We decided to bring it back now. It is a valuable discussion on how law enforcement can be helpful years after horrible crimes have taken place. This is worth an investment of your time. J R Waltemyer is a valuable contact at the Office of Victim Advocate (OVA) in Pennsylvania. OVA is the state agency with the authority and duty to advocate for the rights and needs of crime victims. OVA accomplishes their mission through victim services, which includes post-sentencing notifications of offender status and movements within the Department of Corrections and the parole system; restorative justice programs that promote resilience and healing; and they are currently developing new initiatives around crime prevention. OVA envisions a Pennsylvania in which justice thrives. They collaborate closely with fellow state agencies and community groups to develop and promote trauma informed programs. Ova epizoda razbija upravo taj mit. Jer biti carica u Vizantiji nije značilo biti nevidljiva. Naprotiv.U razgovoru istoričarke umetnosti dr Jovane Milovanović i istoričarke Ivane Veselinović otvara se jedno slojevito i često zanemareno pitanje: šta je zaista značilo biti žena na vrhu najdugovečnije imperije evropske istorije? Vizantijske carice nisu bile samo supruge careva. One su bile regentkinje, zakonodavke, politički igrači, pokroviteljke umetnosti i Crkve, ali i figure oko kojih su se lomile dinastije, ikonoklastičke krize i državni udari.Od Teodore, koja iz najnižih slojeva društva dolazi do samog vrha vlasti i zajedno sa Justinijanom oblikuje zakonodavstvo Carstva, preko Irine Atinske, prve žene u Vizantiji koja samostalno vlada i potpisuje akte kao basileus, pa do Jelene Dragaš, čiji život je bio posvećen politici i podršci sinu, Konstantinu XI Paleologu Dragašu, ova epizoda pokazuje da su carice često bile ključni nosioci moći, čak i kada formalno nisu nosile krunu.Razgovaramo o tome kako je izgledao položaj žena u vizantijskom društvu, gde su bile granice njihovog delovanja, ali i kako su te granice stalno pomerane upravo na dvoru. Koliko je religija bila sredstvo kontrole, a koliko prostor uticaja? Zašto su carice istovremeno slavljenje kao svetice i demonizovane kao opasne zavodnice? I zbog čega je Vizantija, za razliku od mnogih zapadnoevropskih država, relativno često dopuštala ženama da vladaju, makar u kriznim trenucima?Ovo je priča o realnoj moći, političkoj inteligenciji i institucionalnim okvirima koji su caricama omogućavali da budu mnogo više od simbola - žene koje su oblikovale istoriju.

Poslednji kralj Jugoslavije, simbol jedne epohe koja se raspala brže nego što je stigla da sazri, ostao je zarobljen između mita, politike, rata i lične tragedije.Na presto je stupio kao sedamnaestogodišnjak, u trenutku kada se Evropa već raspadala pod težinom rata, a Jugoslavija ulazila u svoju najdublju krizu. Njegova sudbina od samog početka nije bila državnički projekat, već istorijski lom: spoj detinjstva prekinutog atentatom, prerano nametnute simbolike i političkih odluka koje su se donosile mimo njega.Nikola Đukić i Ivan Drljača ne govore o romantičnom kralju u egzilu, već o realnoj istorijskoj figuri: o poreklu i dinastičkom nasleđu Petra II, o detinjstvu provedenom u senci atentata na kralja Aleksandra, o 27. martu 1941. i trenutku kada je maloletni kralj pretvoren u politički simbol otpora.
