Also known as part of the duo Modern Heads, 2006/2007 he released may sussessful Eps: “Paper Toys”, “Ordinary Madness” and “Gliding” are just a few pearls of a style which is now one the most followed and have been inspiring many artists from the international techno scene. Gianluca Meloni, born in Rome , made his musical path trough different styles; has been studying Piano at “Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Roma” and played in various underground bands; his big passion about music starts back when he after being listening to Tangerine Dreams first album decides to buy his first synth: a Korg MS-10. He was a pioneer in the 90′s and was able to insert electronic seeds into an underground scene mainly ruled by Gianluca Meloni A.K.A. LAERTES progressive rock; his most important contribution in that period was to the album “Strani Sogni” of the band SIG V, CNI Music -Italy. His debut single “Perchè Non Parli” was a huge successs in Italy and was much more than often played in italians radio’s shows; Not that later he mets up with Dino Sabatini, still “just” a guitarist, after a studio session and a very solid friendship, based on their common passion for music, starts to grow between them; that amazing duo soon became the “Modern Heads” project, leading both of them to play in some of the most prestigious clubs around the globe as Panorama Bar in Berlin, Brancaleone in Rome and Macumba, Madrid, AIR Tokyo, FUSE in Bruxelles, just to list few. Some years later Gianluca together with Carlo Alfano became the founder of the project “notfromearth“, expanding his artistic view into a very well crafted new Audio & Video concept, revealing soon his high level of professionally and experience; his first e.p. on Prologue label, “Origin e.p.”, is indeed a big proof of that !. In 2015 Start new Solo project LAERTES his new solo project, Laertes, inspired by the research of electronic music through the modular synthesis and passion for live improvisation, in which reason in his live set will always find vintage analog instruments, and modern technology. Born and educated in Rome, the young Italian producer Luigi Tozzi was strongly influenced by the roman scene and its local artists, many of whom gave a crucial contribution to the birth and growth of the deep techno sound. Luigi’s music has so far been released on the established label Dynamic Reflection as well as setting a regular cooperation with the very promising and mysterious techno label Hypnus Records from Sweden, where he found a platform that inspired him to develop his style. Melting the tribal and hypnotic elements of techno with the atmospheric and emotional side of ambient music he is making his own path in the world of electronics. Recently this has gotten him in contact with Dino Sabatini which led to the opportunity to join Outis Music that has released well known artists such as Modern Heads, Brando Lupi, Donato Dozzy among others.

PMS11 | All I Want For Christmas Is Worldwide Anarchist Communism | Attentat When looking for a picture to use for my Photographic Memories Series submission this seemed the most appropriate for obvious reasons. It's almost Christmas; a time of year so easy to love and hate with equal passion. Easy to love because, it’s nice to spend time with friends and family, and easy to hate because, well, it’s Christmas. By the look on my face it appears I embraced distaste for the celebration of baby Jesus. This is insightful because I remember myself being a greedy little bastard at that age. I remember, once, my selfishness got the best of me, and I attempted to clandestinely open a gift while hiding behind a rocking chair in my parent’s living room, only to be caught by one of my siblings with a handful of brand new LEGO pieces in my sticky paws. I used to beg to open gifts before Christmas day, and sometimes my parents would give in, mostly because I wouldn't leave them alone until I got my way. When I found this photo it gave me hope I wasnäó»t always a greedy little tub of fat; a pushy whiner that pressured people until they gave in to his demands. If only I knew why I was wearing a look of disgust and disappointment? Is my grimace a sign of my future attitude towards Christmas and popular culture? An attitude containing heavy doses of cynicism and disgust aimed at the obsession capitalist society places on the accumulation of material goods? Maybe, it’s a look saying, I'm just freaked out by the fact I'm sitting on a creepy guy's lap hoping for toys? Perhaps, an early awareness of the humiliating nature of this degrading system of bondage, and wage slavery humans have so happily embraced? I’m not a fan of Christmas because it perpetuates the hyper-individualism, greed, and selfishness inherent in the capitalist system. This year however, I would like three things for Christmas, (1) worldwide anarchist communism, (2) looting and redistribution of the Christmas stockings of the rich (3) a good rave to keep the people moving through the night.
