The award-winning Spectral Silhouette Radio Show is a musical audio drama/podcast produced in the Chicagoland area by Henry Scherrer and Matt Winkelman. It combines the pulpy noir spirit of programs from the golden age of radio with modern sensibilities and style. Part comedy, part mystery, all fun, Silhouette is a labor of love from a great group of actors, musicians, and crew members. The show is performed live every two months and both nights sell out within hours, sometimes minutes. We have a full stage production with an audio engineer, sound effects engineer, fifteen actors, and a jazz band with horns. It's a one of a kind experience, mixing the feel of a jazz club with a stage show full of mystery, laughs, ghosts and more. Our show has grown a lot over the years. What started as a one off production became twenty six episodes, four minisodes and forty two original songs. We even have our own beer, Puzzle Club (a delicious ruby rye ale), from the fine people at Skeleton Key Brewery. We are now on our fourth season, and look forward to producing more installments in the years to come. Monty and company investigate the disappearance of a famous actress. The stakes get even higher when another actress goes missing prompting the detectives to step into the brutal world of big dreams and silver screens. Fearing they've been kidnapped by a killer; the detectives find themselves in a race against time to discover the starlets whereabouts before their final curtain calls. Pirates, laughs, casting agents, thespians, and more in this exciting installment of The Spectral Silhouette! If you've been using ERP or the Triple-A Response and still feel stuck, this episode explains why. Matt Codde, LCSW breaks down one of the most misunderstood concepts in OCD and anxiety recovery: the difference between chasing a future free of intrusive thoughts versus ascending to a higher level of consciousness where those thoughts lose their grip. Most people in OCD recovery are secretly operating from a cause-and-effect loop: "If I eliminate the thoughts, I'll eliminate the anxiety." Matt explains why this Newtonian paradigm keeps you oscillating in the same cycle — and why recovery only becomes possible when you stop treating it as a destination and start treating it as a shift in consciousness.Using Einstein's principle that you can't solve a problem from the same level of consciousness that created it, this episode reframes the entire goal of recovery tools like ERP and the Triple-A Response — and shows you what it actually looks like when they start working.
Dante Lauretta details the complex scientific objectives that formed the OSIRIS-REx mission name: Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, and Regolith Explorer. He reflects on the mythological significance of Osiris as both a bringer of life and a harbinger of death, mirroring the nature of asteroids. The mission faced a major turning point when Mike Drake passed away shortly after NASA's 2011 selection, leaving Lauretta to lead as the designated "risk mitigation." Despite rigorous technical reviews in 2014 that challenged their landing design, the team convinced NASA of their cost-credibility and engineering resilience. (2/4)JANUARY 1951

From ghostly apparitions to mysterious lights in the night, tales of the supernatural have echoed through history and across cultures. In this captivating episode, Raymond Buckland explores Apparitions, Spirits, Spectral Lights and Other Hauntings of History and Legend, offering a rich journey into the enduring world of the paranormal. Drawing from historical records, folklore, and decades of research, Buckland examines how reports of hauntings and spirit encounters have been documented over centuries—often sharing striking similarities despite differences in time and place. From eerie apparitions seen in ancient times to modern-day encounters with unexplained lights and presences, these phenomena continue to challenge our understanding of reality. This episode goes beyond storytelling, exploring why such experiences persist and what they may reveal about human perception, belief, and the possibility of life beyond the physical world. Are these hauntings echoes of the past, manifestations of consciousness, or something entirely unknown? Join us for a fascinating and atmospheric conversation that bridges history, legend, and the unexplained—where the stories that have shaped our fears and fascinations may also hold clues to one of humanity's greatest mysteries.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-x-zone-radio-tv-show--1078348/support.Please note that all XZBN radio and/or television shows are Copyright © REL-MAR McConnell Meda Company, Niagara, Ontario, Canada – www.rel-mar.com. Spectral evidence, Salem witch trials, dream accusations, historical justice failure—this rather shocking but true story reveals how people were condemned based on experiences that couldn't be proven, tested, or challenged. In 1692, during the Salem witch trials, people weren't just accused of crimes—they were accused of actions that supposedly took place in dreams. Courts accepted these claims as credible, and lives were lost as a result. This episode of An Ounce explores how a system can function exactly as intended… and still arrive at the wrong outcome when it accepts the wrong kind of evidence. If you value clear, thoughtful storytelling that challenges how we think about truth, certainty, and human behavior, consider subscribing and sharing this with someone who enjoys looking at history from a different angle.________________________________________
Cursed Media is proud to present “The Spectral Voyager II: Timeslip Radio” -- Presented in Stereo! In this second season, co-hosts and (I want to) believers Brad Abrahams and Jake Rockatansky embark on a six episode journey into Instrumental Transcommunication -- the idea that living humans in the present can communicate with dead humans living in the past. Old radios, analog clocks, and ancient computers could hold the key to understanding the world of the paranormal in a grounded, scientific way. What if WE are the ghosts in someone else's time? To introduce the concept of ITC, Chapter One sees Brad and Jake diving into Ken Webster's 1989 book “The Vertical Plane” -- a strange tale involving a BBC Microcomputer, and a man living in the 1500's. My guest for this episode is author and folklorist Hugh Williams, who joined me to discuss his new book The Horn of Mercia; The Wild Hunt and The Spectral Huntsman of Central England. In the book, Hugh explores the history of the legendary Wild Hunt, delving into the ancient origins of the idea, it's emergence as a supernatural phenomenon in Medieval Europe and how it has been recorded and reported in the folklore of the English Midlands, where he grew up. He also writes about both the mythic figures who were said to lead the hunt and those that were solitary, most notably Herne the Hunter a character famously mentioned in the Shakespeare play The Merry Wives of Windsor. Hugh investigates the legend of Herne in depth and, using an evidence-based approach, theorises a new origin for this legendary phantom. I begin the interview by talking briefly with Hugh about the medieval kingdom of Mercia. From there he discusses the history of the Wild Hunt legend, and goes through his theory about the origins and evidence for Herne the Hunter. You can find out more about Hugh's book, along with his 'Mysteries of Mercia' social media accounts at https://www.mysteriesofmercia.com/. Time Between Times – The Spectral Lady of Waterston Road There are roads we travel every day…and then there are roads that remember us.This week on Time Between Times, we journey deep into the quiet, coastal heart of Pembrokeshire… to Waterston Road — a place where the hedgerows whisper, the night air thickens… and something walks when it should not.Locals speak in hushed tones of the Waterston Lady — a lone, spectral figure drifting along the roadside beneath the moon. Those who have seen her describe a pale glow, a chilling silence… and the dreadful feeling that they were not alone, even after she vanished. But she is not the only presence bound to this lonely stretch of road.Because sometimes…when the mist rolls in from the Milford Haven Waterway…a phantom carriage is heard before it is seen.Hooves striking the tarmac.Wheels creaking through the dark.A journey that has never truly ended. Is Waterston Road haunted by a restless spirit… or is it something older?A place where the past bleeds into the present…and the veil grows thin.Step carefully…and join me.
3.8.26 – Day 11/13 of the Blue Storm Wavespell – Solar Moon 2
How do planetary systems form? If you wanted to observe them, where would you look and what would you look for? To find out, Dr. Charles Liu and co-host Allen Liu welcome Luke Keller, professor of Astronomy and Physics at Ithaca College, who together with his team has identified 9 of these early solar systems. As always, though, we start off with the day's joyfully cool cosmic thing: a recently published paper that determined that at any given time, it is likely that a couple of extrasolar objects like 3I/ATLAS and Oumuamua would be present in our solar system. The real issue is detecting them. For context, Luke, whose science has focused over the years on finding debris from solar systems, explains how protoplanetary discs can eject matter that ends up orbiting that star. He's especially fond of cosmic dust, “the catalyst for the formation of planets and asteroids and comets…” Then it's time for a question for Luke from the audience, from Elisa: “I heard that the James Webb Space Telescope sees infrared light. How does that work? Does that mean it couldn't see the Sun?” Luke breaks down the various wavelengths of light and our Sun. He also explains how the JWST works and why it never looks at the sun. It turns out that Luke has built a variety of astronomical instruments including imaging and spectroscopic tools with for large observatories. He's also used information from instruments like JWST in his studies of the formation of stars and solar systems. Luke explains how his teams search for preplanetary solar systems, what they're looking for, and where they're currently looking: associations of stars in the direction of the constellations Taurus, Scorpius and Chamaeleon. All told so far Luke and his team have identified 9 of these early solar systems. He then breaks down the current thinking on how planetary systems form from clouds of dust. He explains some of the processes that involves, along with the types of planets that may form. For our next audience question, Joan asks, “What do you think is the most interesting constellation?” Luke picks two: first, Ursa Major, aka “The Big Dipper,” because he grew up in Alaska and saw it all the time – along with “auroras all the time.” The second constellation he picks is Orion, aka “The Hunter,” because it contains some of the closest star forming regions of our galaxy. Luke unpacks the difference between “watching the sky” and “observing the sky” – and why he encourages the latter to both his students and the general public. And before the episode is over, we get to hear about Luke's live show, Spacetime, where he collaborates with poet David Gonzalez and guitarist Álvaro Domene in a stage performance that's equal parts astrophysics, poetry, and music. If you'd like to know more about Luke's show, Spacetime, check it out at https://spacetimeshow.org/. We hope you enjoy this episode of The LIUniverse, and, if you do, please support us on Patreon. What a fun little uncanny experience. The family dynamic is wonderfully weird — the mom desperately trying to hide anything ghostly, poor Eli just wanting someone to believe him — and the whole atmosphere feels like a suburban haunting no one wants to talk about. As an incredibly average player with a long history of failing tutorials, I managed to score a very impressive 50% on the ghost photos. Spectral forms and apparitions completely melted together in my brain, and yes… I absolutely marked one totally normal photo as haunted. It was a moment. This video is the clipped demo section from my stream, so it's a clean first‑look at the gameplay, puzzles, and photo mechanics. I had a great time with it and I'm excited to see where the full game goes ❤️ Developer: @frostwoodinteractive

This is a spectrometer on a chip, and it's getting the Adafruit breakout treatment. The AS7343 is the successor to our AS7341, bumped from 10 channels to 14, with 12 spanning visible light into near-infrared (380nm to 1000nm), plus clear and flicker detection. Same footprint and pinout as the '41, so your existing wiring and enclosures carry over unchanged. Ladyada finished the library and testing, then pointed OpenClaw at an ESP32-S2 TFT hooked up to the sensor. Claude generated a real-time color bar visualization that's one of the nicer sensor demos we've done… hold it over a green light and watch the yellow-green channels spike, wave it past a reddish-orange source and the spectral output shifts to match. If you want to see what multi-spectral color sensing can do, check out the Color Sensing Music Player guide – we use DUPLO bricks that play songs based on color. The AS7343 would make it even better! The Puritans and the early colonists found more monsters in America than just witches. The Devil had birthed a variety of what were often called “monstrous births” and they became signs and omens for the believers in an angry god. Spectral, shape-shifting dogs, along with demonic, giant black bears, haunted the woods around the settlements. They believed they were surrounded by evil spirits in the sea, the rivers, lakes, forests, and swamps around them. But the Puritans were not the only ones finding monsters on the American frontier. Sea serpents swam in our waters and strange beasts populated the wilderness that loomed over most new American settlements. But the response to the beasts the settlers met were not always the same and didn't always share the Puritan desire to destroy all monsters or cleanse the American landscape – no matter how devilish the monsters might be. Instead, they turned them into legends. Our Sponsors:* Check out Shopify: https://shopify.com/hauntings* Check out TruDiagnostic and use my code HAUNTINGS for a great deal: https://www.trudiagnostic.comSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/american-hauntings-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

They discuss why their research focus is shifting from UAPs to USOs, the recurring water connection, and several cases where objects appeared to respond to being observed. The brothers also detail a black triangle emerging from a cloud system, complete with radar tracks, RF disturbances and electromagnetic anomalies. With newly secured multi-year funding, Nightcrawler is expanding into deep-water surveys, hyperspectral detection and a full Phase 3 investigative programme. Plus, updates on their upcoming documentaries and what they expect to uncover next. A rare, data-driven look at phenomena unfolding both above and now beneath the surface.

Naming OSIRIS-REx and Overcoming Major Hurdles — Dante Lauretta — Following successive rejections, Lauretta systematically defined the mission's core scientific objectives—Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security—establishing the OSIRIS framework and subsequently designating the mission OSIRIS-REx(Regolith Explorer). The mission received formal selection in 2011, and Mike Drake, serving as Lauretta's mentor while managing significant personal health challenges, designated Lauretta as "risk mitigation" leader. The team confronted and resolved critical technical obstacles, particularly the guidance system architecture, during the rigorous 2014 NASA review process, successfully enabling the planned 2016 launch. 1955

January 1692. Two girls wake up screaming with unexplained burns on their skin. Their bodies contort unnaturally. Doctors reach a chilling conclusion: they're "under an evil hand." What unfolds over the next nine months doesn't just claim 23 lives—it murders something far more profound: the Western world's faith in the supernatural itself.PhD candidate Brian Dedmon has discovered why Salem—out of hundreds of witch trials that killed far more people—became the one everyone remembers. The answer is chilling: Salem happened at the precise moment Western civilization was poised to abandon God. The timing was devastating. Nineteen souls hanged. One man crushed slowly beneath stacking stones, gasping his final words: "More weight."But here's the twist that changes everything: the guilty walked free while the innocent died. "Spectral evidence" allowed convictions based on dreams alone—no physical proof required. Wealthy families weaponized the hysteria to eliminate rivals. A minister quoted the Lord's Prayer perfectly at the gallows (something witches supposedly couldn't do) and was hanged anyway.By 1700, historians across every ideological spectrum agree: Western culture abandoned belief in the supernatural almost overnight. Salem became exhibit A that Christian faith breeds dangerous superstition. SThe real question facing us now: How do we reclaim biblical supernatural faith without triggering new witch hunts? How do we acknowledge spiritual warfare when most Christians treat it like embarrassing folklore? Salem's message echoes across three centuries: The church must remember what it lost after 1692—before what's coming makes us wish we had. High on Maine's Mt. Katahdin, the Appalachian Trail ends in a place wrapped in mystery—and haunted by a storm spirit. Hikers whisper about sudden fog, eerie moans in the wind, and the sense of eyes watching from the Knife's Edge ridge. The Wabanaki people know who it is: Pamola, the ancient birdlike guardian said to punish anyone who dares disrespect the mountain. Is he a cryptid, a god, or something else? Using NASA's Hubble and Chandra space telescopes, along with a Very Large Array radio telescope, researchers identified this rogue black hole that consumes stars and planets that venture too close. The black hole was revealed through a tidal disruption event, where a star was torn apart and swallowed, offering a glimpse into the physics of these cosmic behemoths.Meteorite Slams into Georgia HomeIn an extraordinary event, a meteorite crashed through a house in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 26, narrowly missing the homeowner. Witnessed by hundreds, the fireball streaked across the sky before fragments penetrated the roof and ceiling. Planetary geologist Scott Harris retrieved samples for analysis, revealing the meteorite's origins in the asteroid belt, dating back 4.56 billion years, and potentially linked to the breakup of a larger asteroid.Origins of Asteroids Bennu and RyuguRecent research suggests that both Bennu and Ryugu may share a common ancestry, originating from the same collisional family of asteroids known as Polana. Spectral data comparisons indicate similarities between these asteroids, supporting the hypothesis that they were formed from the remnants of a larger body that fragmented early in the solar system's history. This discovery opens new avenues for understanding the evolution of these near-Earth asteroids.www.spacetimewithstuartgary.com✍️ Episode ReferencesAstrophysical Journal Lettershttps://iopscience.iop.org/journal/2041-8205Planetary Science Journalhttps://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/planetary-science-journalBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/spacetime-space-astronomy--2458531/support.
A wrong turn off the highway and a lonely gravel road led an unsuspecting family straight into the past. Bear Ridge Battlefield appeared deserted—nothing more than a windswept rise in rural Montana—until dusk settled and the hillside erupted with an impossible glow. Spectral soldiers ringed a ghostly campfire: uniforms tattered, eyes fixed, forever silent. Were these figures a replay of the last night they ever knew, or proof that something older still patrols the grounds?
