French-based label Cielo Records is a techno project from JC Laurent that has so far been a vessel for his own cutting-edge ideas and diverse taste. Having over ten years of production experience to his name, JC Laurent has released on the likes of Coyu's Suara, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, and Deepak Sharma's Hidden Recordings amongst others. Na Nich is a Ukranian artist who features with the solo remix here and can be found on the mighty Delsin Records, Svreca's Semantica, Viels' End of Perception and his own Rhythm Büro. Starting with "Comet" it's a melting pot of dub techno and modular sound effects with an ethereal, analogue presence. Second up is the "Comet (Na Nich Remix)" which adds an even more dreamy textures to some elements turning it into a dystopian soundscape. "Nothing But An Illusion" steps into a slightly leftfield approach with cyclical tones, shuffling beat and a sci-fi aesthetic. The final track titled "The Switch" is an overall deeper facet of techno that intertwines with a looming intensity. Always good to see Robin at Purgatorium on the big red machine Amsterdam's Most Wanted. Get ready for a hybrid set with his very own signature sounds! Active in the field of electronic music since the early 90's, Robin Kampschoer is an artist and composer whose works traverse the terrain between contemporary dance music and experimental electronica. Clearly establishing a unique sonic identity, while refusing to compromise to temporary trends, Kampschoer always remains true to himself. Apart from performing techno DJ and live sets in clubs and on festivals worldwide, more unusual projects have included multiple live jam sessions with other artists for STOOR's Stay Home Soundsystem, AV Surround Sound live sets on the Fusion Festival in Germany, an AV ambient live set in the Palais de Tokyo museum in Paris, and other AV projects and installations like the “Self Pollinating Light Organ” for the Amsterdam Dance Event in 2015. His released music include EP's and albums on STOOR, Rudiment, Dynamic Reflection, Diffuse Reality, Methodical, ATD Records, LET Recordings, Awesome Soundwave, Redevice, Bangbang, Studio Soulrock, and others. Today's premiere features Dutch duo Abstract Division with their track ‘Graveyard Shift' from their debut album, Midnight Ensemble. The full album is expected to release on September 23rd. Featuring a host of Detroit and dub techno, alongside some ambient and electro sounds too for good measure. Paul Boex and Dave Miller boast over 30 years of experience under their belt within the music industry. The Abstract Division duo are seasoned DJs and music producers who have played in the likes of Berghain, Tresor, Shelter and KHIDI over the course of their music partnership. Those who have followed the duo since their early days of playing DJ-sets together, know that it's hard to define their style anywhere beyond techno or even electronic music, as it is ever evolving and always dependent on the time of the day or night. When listening to this album, the resemblance between their unpredictable selection behind the decks and the eclectic range of subgenres on this album is more obvious than ever before. ‘Midnight Ensemble' could be interpreted as an ode to nightlife; a reminiscence of all that happens between dusk and dawn, captured and compressed into about one hour of music. An hour in which they so delicately time their changing of styles and tempos, always reading the room and always being one step ahead of the crowd. Graveyard Shift consists of experimental breaks and is accompanied with eerie undertones to keep the listener guessing. Extracting such a dark and murky energy that can be felt throughout the recording, concluding with an all-nighter vibe. The uplifting upheaval towards the end makes you feel a sense of satisfaction, yet flustered at the same time and eager for more. TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ CONRAD VAN ORTON Andrea Zanchetta, aka Conrad Van Orton, is a Rome-born DJ and producer. CVO’s musical history and taste range from 90s Italian rap to minimal and experimental Techno, which is reflected in his eclectic sets and productions containing deep sounds as well as industrial influences. Since 2010 he is co-founder of the record label CRS Recordings with his old friend Francesco Visconti aka VSK. During the last years his studio work found space on many important labels such as Dynamic Reflection, PoleGroup, Sonntag Morgen, Attic Music, Lyree, Soma Records and he signed a six tracker EP with VSK on Developer's Modularz. He spent most of his time in 2017 studying and experimenting the discipline of live act and he's now ready to show his new performance. Arguing that it's about time for Stefan Vincent to step into the limelight is understating matters. After all, if you're able to count the heads of some of the world's finest labels, (think Token, Sthlm LTD and Dynamic Reflection) and the likes of Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills among your fans, you're obviously doing something right. This relative anonymity isn't something that troubles the Amsterdam based producer, DJ and live act, though: more than willing to invest time in his art, the man literally lives in his studio and so is in no hurry whatsoever. His path, unlike that of many, hasn't found him go from playing records to making them, but instead, after discovering work by inspirational figures like Steve Rachmad, Surgeon and Jeff Mills, Stefan immediately set to work on his won creative projects. Whether it is playing a DJ set or cooking up an expressive live set, Stefan always translates his singularly deep, rich and driving sound into the club environment. With a good amount of solid techno releases under his belt, he continues to win over the hearts and dancing feet of audiences across the planet. Container Podcast is back with Viels. Class 1990, Viels was born in a little city outside Milan (Italy). Early in his adolescence he discovered techno culture inspired by a book called “TECHNO“ by Christian Zingales. Having released his first Ep on Initial Berlin in 2015, Viels continued his musical path appearing with a track on the well respected dutch imprint Dynamic Reflection, followed by his debut ep “Distrophism” and contributing for the 10 years anniversary of the label, among some of the most recognised artists in the scene : Donato Dozzy, Mike Parker, Shifted, Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Ness, Jeroen Search and many more. 2018 marks the launch of his own imprint “ End Of Perception ” in co-ownership with Francesco della Sala, the label is now at the third chapter of its VA series. With an increasing interest and having performed in quality line-ups around the globe, with the likes of The Gods Planet, Svreca and Dasha Rush to name a few, Viels is establishing himself as part of a new wave of djs and producers approaching the contemporary techno scene. @viels

Born and educated in Rome, the young Italian producer Luigi Tozzi was strongly influenced by the roman scene and its local artists, many of whom gave a crucial contribution to the birth and growth of the deep techno sound. Luigi’s music has so far been released on the established label Dynamic Reflection as well as setting a regular cooperation with the very promising and mysterious techno label Hypnus Records from Sweden, where he found a platform that inspired him to develop his style. Melting the tribal and hypnotic elements of techno with the atmospheric and emotional side of ambient music he is making his own path in the world of electronics. Recently this has gotten him in contact with Dino Sabatini which led to the opportunity to join Outis Music that has released well known artists such as Modern Heads, Brando Lupi, Donato Dozzy among others.
The Italian peninsula is known for its output of powerful, atmospheric and emotive techno, and Luigi Tozzi is just one supreme example of this type of sound. Hailing from Rome, Tozzi is a young producer and DJ who's Luigi-Tozziinfluenced by the deep and atmospheric sounds that are coming from the capital city and whose contributions to techno have piqued the interests of Edit Select, Claudio PRC and Deepbass; producers who Tozzi has featured with on the Outis Music imprint. Tozzi has also released on Dynamic Reflection and swedish label Hypnus Records. We really enjoy the vibe of this mix, as it takes you on a deeply introspective journey of the mind while allowing yourself to feel like you're floating out in the cosmos.

Hello! Friends of the Monument. Our guest for this episode is Luigi Tozzi(@luigitozzi). An Italian based producer with releases on influential labels like Dynamic Reflection and Hypnus Records (Sweden). We could expect to hear more from Luigi in the future as you could read about in the Q&A. On the note of “future”, this mix showcases a futuristic landscape of techno sounds and grooves. A real treat for the mind. 1. Which DJ would you like to share a beer and a conversation with? Why? Probably with the guys from Northern Electronics, especially with Acronym. I am paying a lot of attention to their output and like it very much, it's interesting to me how they express all a similar mood in their music, but keeping a very distinctive and individual touch. They are very careful not to unveil too much about themselves, which is something that I respect, but I'd be very curious to know a bit more about their methods and workflow. 2. How do you make your music? And whats up with the deep and sci-fi sound style? I make my music with an hybrid setup, I own some analog machines (Ms20 mini/Microbrute and a couple drum machines) but I tend to work and process a lot in the box with Ableton and some plugin bundles. This is the way I will continue to work in my solo project, but in the future I am planning to make a collaboration with a friend here in Rome which will be centered only on machines. I think that jamming and arranging live can be very stimulating for creativity and I'm very looking forward to give it a try. 3. What's happening in the future? (releases, gigs etc) A lot is happening in the next months, with Hypnus we will release a LP with great artists (such as Cassegrain,Ness, Svreca, Mike Parker, Alan Backdrop, Orphx, Cio d'Or and Edit Select) remixing our works from the past year.This will be released in January and in the following months I already have three solo releases confirmed and some remixes. Also I am very excited about starting to work on a live set, I know this won't be easy and will take some time but it's an objective I have fixed as a goal for 2015. 4. Any words to the people out there mesmerized by your sound? For us, Deepbass is one of those producers that creates a new and unique sound to the techno scene. He has a futuristic vibe over his tracks and DJ sets. This sound for me is not something I chose, I always had an element of this sound when working in the studio. Just something about the rolling hypnotic ambient infused sounds that I love. I feel this music is all about the atmosphere and every track takes you on a journey and tells it's own story. 2. What kind of DJ gig do you like the most? (and yea... how was berghain?) Usually I prefer smaller intimate venues where you have a close connection with the crowd, always helps if its a dark and dirty space. Berghain was amazing, playing was everything I hoped and more, its true what they say there is a really special feeling in that place. 3. Whats coming up for 2014?
