TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ DAHRAXT DAHRAXT is the techno project of the electronic music artist Alessandro Mannella ( formerly known as Mannella ). Italian-born and Berlin-adopted, he expresses his multi-faceted talent producing music, DJing and performing live. Apart from being heavily influenced by the UK techno sound, DAHRAXT's musical narratives oscillate between industrial techno and distorted electro soundscapes, all the way to the more mental techno textures. Moving at a young age to Ibiza, he crafted his DJ mixing skills performing regularly at important venues like Space and throwing illegal parties around the island. Not long after, he moved to Berlin and immediately caught the attention of many, playing at the iconic Tresor basement and shaking the dancefloors of other major clubs such as About Blank, Arena and Suicide Circus, as well as hosting events at the former Griessmühle. Eventually, as one of the founders of the multidisciplinary event project ENIGMA, he brought a brand-new event concept at Tresor Club. Besides Germany, DAHRAXT has made appearances at other influential venues across Europe such as Gare (Porto) and FOLD (London) among others. Touring overseas and taking part in the underground festival circuit, DAHRAXT has performed with the likes of Ancient Methods, Ben Klock, Detroit Techno Militia, Nene H, New Frames, Tommy Four Seven, Scan7, Sunil Sharpe and many more. His unmatched dexterity in bringing the crowd into his own visionary trip and the intensity of his DJ sets allowed him to also gain a residency at the techno party Vocoder in Mexico City (2018) and most recently at ARIA, London. As a long-time vinyl collector and supporter, in 2015 DAHRAXT founded two record labels: “Jtseries”, (a techno dancefloor-oriented imprint) and “PicNic34” (having a more experimental direction). On those, he has collaborated with Blawan, Cristian Vogel, Charlton, Kucera, Santiago Salazar, Tobias, Vladislav Delay and VSK to name a few. With an arsenal of music ready to hit some of the most important music platforms out there, DAHRAXT's ever mind-expanding DJ and studio experiments are bound to be experienced by many. *The Mix was live recorded at Tresor Berlin* Follow DAHRAXT here: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mannella.dahraxt Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dahraxt/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/dahraxt

As a well-established artist, Rommek has expanded his own sound, carving his way into the current techno and experimental scenes. His extensive interest in sound design is crafted within the dense atmospheres, heavy broken rhythms and electrifying tones found within his productions. The London based producer released his debut record 'Thought Patterns' on Weekend Circuit in 2014. Rommek later joined the seminal Blueprint Records in 2016, gradually releasing five solo EPs, plus remixes from label owner James Ruskin and Broken English Club, O/V/R, Makton. Since then, he's had a steady output of releases on Dutch imprint Leyla Records, Natural Selection as well as Mord, Hex, Loose Lips and collaborative release with the Spanish duo NX1 in 2022. Rommek's latest EP pushes his creative boundaries one-step further, as the UK Producer makes his debut on Tommy Four Seven's - 47 imprint. Exploring futuristic techno fused with 180 BPM IDM/ D&B crossovers. Torn Relics, the experimental project between Rommek + Aimee Mullen was formed during 2018. Their debut EP, The Poisoned Chalice, released on Sacred Court, featured a remix by label owner SNTS. In 2020 the duo's debut album: Abolish The Dogma, was released on Leyla Records, followed by ‘Burning Injustice' in 2021 via Instruments of Discipline. Since releasing over 10 EP's, Rommek has gained a wide range of noteworthy support, from BBC Radio 1, to many features and reviews in Mixmag, The Wire, The Quietus and Fuze magazine. In 2018 he was featured within the top 100 globally charted artists on Resident Advisor. Furthermore, as a touring DJ, he has played in over 20 countries around the globe. From this, it's clear that Rommek is driven to continue expanding his capabilities and keep things moving forward. Today we premiere a thunderous industrial techno track from one of Cork's trailblazers from a new generation of distorted techno, as BUCA supplies a free download. The young producer showcases his vision of techno which heavily lyes on brutal atmospheric grooves. Charlie Foley better known as BUCA has been steadily grafting within the Cork techno scene in recent years. Over the past 12 months the young DJ and producer has become a firm fixture in the city's expansive techno circle, and has become the go to man for supplying cavernous rhythms and distorted mayhem. Cork's appetite for techno remains unparalleled within the context of Ireland's dance music scene, and the county seem's to be spitting out some of the countries best techno DJs by the minute, with each DJ honing in on their craft and having a vast knowledge of the culture of their slice of techno. BUCA is one of the latest DJs to arise from the underbelly of pounding rhythms in the rebel county, and his appetite for industrial techno has seen him become a firm favourite for all things gnarly and tough. BUCA has only recently started sharing his music after a long period of producing music behind close doors, and perfecting his trade. His debut track Muerta came on Imminent Records in September and acted as a bold introduction to the rapturous sound of BUCA. Muerta caught the attention of plenty of techno heavyweights including Tommy Four Seven, Cassie Raptor, SNTS and many more. BUCA's latest track Conclusion show's BUCA at his finest as he explores the realms of bone shattering techno, while remaining somewhat poignant and atmospheric. In the world of harsh and slamming techno tracks can seem somewhat lethargic and lacking in dynamics but BUCA has managed to create a hypnotic and vigorous groove which is utterly relentless. Excellent new release from a prosperous producer. This aggressive sound of TLP068 is brought to you by Vendex! He has found his way, the path of Techno, with a philosophy that envelops him in a cloak of darkness. Influenced by the literature of Dante Alighieri in his work the Divine Comedy, as well as everything related to history, Vendex comes with the intention of creating a path to an inner journey wrapped in dark melodies, blunt and sharp bass that defy the natural , reaching supernatural sounds that touch or even reach what would be the sound of the underworld. Generating sounds that guide the Dantesque idea of a trip in the underworld with the aim of reaching paradise. All this through a forceful and enveloping sound, this creating a path to the nine levels of hell, purgatory and finally reaching paradise. Influenced today in his sessions by artists such as Dax J, Parallx, I Hate Models, Scalameriya, Ancient Methods, Tommy Four Seven or Setaoc Mass and many more. TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ VSK Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, born in Rome in 1986 and based in Berlin. Since his earliest youth he has had a huge passion for electronic music, and through hanging out at the famous record store from the Capital “Remix”, he was introduced to the world of djing when he wa only 16 years old. He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually very hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind. At the same time he met the artist Ken Karter, who introduced him to the world of production and mastering. He began an education as an audio-engineer and sound-designer, in music and especially in television, working in different recording studios; currently he does this alongside his artistic career. In 2010 he and his friends Conrad Van Orton and Vilix started their own label “Consumer Recreation Service”, which got immediate support from big names in the international techno scene, currently he has been handling “CRS ltd” series, focused on a darker and more industrial sound. Over the years he has released music on many other important labels such as Ear To Ground, Sonntag Morgen,Genesa, Planet Rhythm, on which he has an important collaboration with the Italian icon Giorgio Gigli, “Silent Age Ep”. In 2016 he also signed an extended six-track Ep with Conrad Van Orton on Developer’s imprint Modularz ( USA) and in 2018 on historical Soma Records under the name of “Symmetrical Behaviuor”. In 2017 he started performing live, both individually and as part of a duo with the Serbian artist Scalameriya. This collaboration brought to several relevant releases on the British labels Power Vacuum and the legendary Perc Trax, as well as leading to their appearance in the MORD box 002. At the same time he took part in the latest VA on the amazing “47” label along with Ancient Methods, OAKE and the label owner Tommy Four Seven. He also signed 47's third solo Ep, following those by Headless Horseman and Killawatt. Andrea Greco, artist name Burden, is an Italian born, London based DJ and producer. Over the years his sound has emerged as increasingly dark and industrial; energised with driving basslines, shadowy atmosphere, and hypnotic leads. Burden’s DJ career was born in Rome in 2011, when he had the chance to play alongside internationally renowned techno artists like Len Faki and Shifted. In 2013 Burden moved to London. His masters degree in Sound Engineering at SAE Institute, the experiences this new city offered, and his fascination with its underground scene, helped sculpt his signature, albeit versatile, sound. Burden was soon contributing to the rave scene playing parties such as Aria, Superstition, Corner, HTBX, Dazed and Confused, 000011010 Collective, Wachtraum… As well as renowned warehouses and clubs such as Fold, Bloc, Electrowerks, The Cause, 93 Feed East, and Egg. Currently, Burden is one of the resident DJs of ARIA; a collective of likeminded techno lovers that have allowed him to perform in underground venues, and alongside names like Blawan and Electric Indigo. At the beginning of 2018, together with DLTN and a group of friends, Burden started his record label ‘Aurea Records’, where he continues to release his music and collaborate with artists such as Uun, Stanislav Tolkachev, Ness, Arnaud Le Texier, Tapefeed, End Train and Flaminia. Burden’s productions are played and supported by Tommy Four Seven, Ben Klock, Cleric, Paula Temple, Ancient Methods, Killawatt and many others. During one, when i was in party in front of "I hate models" at his beginnings, I knew that this was somehow the new essence of punk. So after started with playing with my first little pioneer mixing table and a computer, the Opäk project was born. Virtual Underground : Where do you draw your inspiration from ? Opäk : I find my inspiration in all the music that has nourished me from my childhood to here. From rock to metal, from blues to stoner, from EBM to Techno, from Techno to Acid, from industrial to hardcore. I often define myself as a "Industrial Techno " artist but in the end, I think the richness is to open up my influences as much as possible! if I have to name names that I have listened to a lot I will say The Doors, Rage Against The Machine, Official Motörhead, The Rolling Stones, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson then in techno I Hate Models, RVDE, Gijensu, Ancient Methods, Phase Fatale, Tommy Four Seven, Ansome, Ayarcana, Myler, TWAN and many other artists in the same genre. Virtual Underground : Could you describe your mixing process ? Opäk : For me the role of the DJ is like that of the sculptor, he must shape the atmosphere and take people on his journey. As a story it is important to have a beginning, a middle and a logical end, so the selection is made in such a way as to respect this narrative scheme! Then of course the best is to perceive only slightly the transitions between the tracks and that they bring a new breath to the set. Virtual Underground : Which software/hardware did you use for this set ? Opäk : I used CDJs and a DJM900 and then I equalized the mix on bleachton so that the audio quality and the feeling was pleasant, simply ahaha Virtual Underground : What are your next plans ? Opäk : What I prefer for the moment is the "show and concert" part I like to perform in search of people, their opinions, emotions. This is the area where I am most comfortable and very beautiful dates like the pulse festival, Entente nocturne arrive. I also created my own label: Askorn Records, which I intend to develop, and finally I am working hard to improve and work to release my first EP which should arrive in 2020.
Fresh meat! We're excited to announce the first of two new arrivals to the FACETS gäng. In our 45th episode of our podcast series we want to introduce you to Arousal - a young & aspiring DJ from Munich. Being with us for a while now and sharing the mindset towards the music, the scene and beyond we've found a perfect match in him and are happy to have him on board. Arousals' interest in the electronic styles first took hold when he began listening DnB and its various sub-genres. With time and his first visit to Berlin his taste shifted towards Techno and with having world-class clubs like the former MMA or the infamous Rote Sonne in his home town of Munich, the path was set. Joining the creative side of the spectrum and still exploring his own style, he eventually got to perform at his first B2B gig. Gaining more experience while playing numerous times at the Ravescape Collective parties in Munich, he also co-launched his own event imprint called Accelerate. Among his influences are names like Kanding Ray, Tommy Four Seven, UVB, Voiski and Regis. -- 045: Arousal from Munich, Germany Arousal @ SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/arousalofficial Arousal @ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/arousal.official

The latest edition of As You Like It's podcast is mixed by Lindsey Herbert — and it's a session recorded live, opening for British techno purist Ø [Phase] in March of this year. Dive into the mix while you read her interview below — and make sure to snag presales for Spanish maestro Oscar Mulero‘s return to San Francisco, landing Friday May 31 at F8. For techno lovers, San Francisco dance-floors are a good place to be right now. Techno with a capital T — fast, tough, rough, and rugged — has taken the city by storm, and that's in no small part thanks to the efforts of people like Lindsey Herbert and parties like Robot Ears, the techno-focused crew she’s worked with for years. After nearly six years running, Robot Ears has brought some of techno's most well-known players (Speedy J, Chris Liebing) plus new-school favorites (Truncate, Tommy Four Seven) to San Francisco. Lindsey's been one of their resident DJs for almost as long, honing her craft and pushing a deep, psychedelic techno sound.

We're not fooling around in the month of April on Techno Delivery Systems Radio! We're excited and humbled to have TechnoFist founder, Damon Bradley, on the show this month! I had the pleasure of meeting Damon face-to-face in Berlin at Tresor.Berlin (OFFICIAL) a couple of weeks ago, and am very excited to hear what he's going to bring to our ears. Featured Set - 12am Damon Bradley TechnoFist Damon Bradley is a veteran electronic music enthusiast, a house-head since 1989, techno/trance head since 1993, and DJing since 2005. Originally from Philly, Damon is the creator of TechnoFist and is one of the co-creators of SEQUENCE in Washington DC. Damon Bradley, a resident of central Maryland, USA, was born and raised in South Philadelphia. It was here that he was first exposed to the beginnings of house music on Saturday nights on the legendary 105.3 FM WDAS R&B and classic soul radio station back in 1989. A few years later, while searching for new sounds, he stumbled on ambient, techno, and trance nearly simultaneously during the summer of 1993, on Drexel University’s WKDU 91.7 FM. During these formative years, Damon instantly fell in love with the sounds of Josh Wink, Sven Vaeth, Oliver Lieb, The Orb, Joey Beltram, Steve Roach, Aphex Twin, and just about anything released on the Harthouse, Strictly Rhythm, and R&S music labels. Damon only started DJ’ing around 2005, playing progressive house for a few parties and UMBC’s student radio station while in graduate school. He returned to his techno roots in 2010 and started DJ’ing techno in 2015 in Washington DC. Damon’s musical influences span a very broad spectrum from ambient to industrial techno, groovy and soulful house, and melodic progressive trance. Currently, he’s focused on exposing the boundaries of techno to as many people as possible, and he does this using the TechnoFist group and TechnoFist podcast he created in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He curates both new and classic techno on TechnoFist which now has over 2,200 members, mostly from New York, Washington DC, and various European cities. Damon has played in numerous places in Washington DC, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia including Jimmy Valentines, and Dr. Clocks Nowhere Bar for the Degenerate, Void Archive, and Phonic parties in DC, EXILE Brooklyn, Flash DC, Tilt, and Aphotic in Brooklyn. He's also played at Generator in Amsterdam in 2017. Damon has played at all ends of the running order, opening for the likes of Shifted, Ben Damage, Exos, and Phase, and closing for juggernauts such as Perc, Tommy Four Seven, Headless Horseman, Stranger, Milton Bradley, and The Gods Planet. In 2016, Damon teamed up with Ron Jackson, Jacob Knibb, Associate and Juana to form SEQUENCE, an ambitious underground techno event series that aims to push the Washington DC techno scene as far as possible. SEQUENCE has been throwing parties since August 2016, and has feature strong local talent alongside heavyweights such as Headless Horseman, UVB, Discwoman, Milton Bradley, BMG, and Tommy Four Seven. With an emphasis on unconventional sound design, Tunnel is best described as a sound sculptor working within the genre of Techno and dance music. His compositional forms combine elements of sub bass, broken rhythms, and melodic abstractions into a sonic tapestry that existS somewhere between fervor and seance, chaos and artistry. Tunnel is an outlier within the techno scene, exclusively performing his own original material and that of his Chicago-based electronic music label, [ Webuildmachines ]. Based in Chicago, inspired by the echoes of Detroit, Tunnel launched his record label, [ webuildmachines ], in 2013. The label’s Prolific output of releases have garnered high praise and charted recognition from big players within the electronic music community – Dave Clarke, Surgeon, Ben Sims, Paula Temple, Tommy Four Seven, Drumcell, and Claude Young Jr. In 2016, TUNNEL’S ORIGINAL TRACK “NOSTALGIA” (DIDREC089) was featured on Richie hawtin’S Essential mix. Tunnel will continue to search for new sounds and structures, getting deeper into the journey. Every tunnel performance is an opportunity to participate in, and witness, the evolution of techno. “Through darkness, towards the light within.”

Hello and welcome to episode #081 of Lehmann Podcast - Alex Dolby! When you have grown and lived in the early ’90s, the golden period of Rome raves and of the musical transformation that occurred in those authentically underground places, you have many things to say. In this background, Alex Dolby, DJ and producer, has formed in his youth, taking inspiration from pillars of the scene such as Jeff Mills, Joy Beltram, Robert Armani and from the music released by record label like R&S and Metroplex, just to name a few. In order to develop, even more, his potential, Alex Dolby has travelled a lot during the years, both as good listener and DJ. He has performed in top club around the world: Ministry of Sound in London, DC10 at Ibiza, Pacha in Buenos Aires, Magazzini Generali in Milan, Sazae in Osaka, Brancaleone in Rome, Cafè D'Anvers in Belgium and many others. The musical desolation and the dark industrial landscape of Frosinone and its province, where Alex Dolby grew, brought him to start a “revolution from below”: to open his own club which respond to the musical culture he would like to spread. So, in 2013, Affekt Club born. The raw and underground culture is the demanding but noble mission that Alex Dolby has set, on the example of the city where the musical movements, that are still a model for everybody, born. Simultaneously with his achievements as producer (Alex released Nefesis, the second album of his career with Affekt Recordings, the label of the same name of the club. The LP contains ten tracks: Paranco e Morphosis which have become real hits, played by DJs such as Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Chris Liebing, Truncate e Alan Fitzpatrick) Alex Dolby, through his club, grown on both a part of people that never had lived that reality and on field’s experts, DJs that have appreciated the quality of sound which come from that dark room. This success was possible mainly through a different approach to the “party system” which is largely used in Italy. The Affekt club offers both promising young DJs and successful DJs who are not (inclined to) part of the mainstream commercialization. The artistical programmation of the club has been of a very high level since its beginning and the club has been able to host, for the first time in the history of territory, artists such as Len Faki, Speedy J, Oscar Mulero, Monoloc, Rebekah, Truncate, Francois x, Marcel Fengler, Tommy Four Seven, Norman Nodge, Giorgio Gigli, Shifted, Sigha, Joel Mull, Markantonio, Brian Sanhaji, Par Grindvik, Jonas Kopp, Reeko, Gaetano Parisio and many others. Experimentation and underground are Alex Dolby’s key words. Audio Perversion is the alias of Scottish DJ & Producer Tommy Fraser. Known for his unmistakeable and addicting brand of Techno, Tommy has been a key figure in the Aberdeen & Scottish underground music scene for more years than most. Alongside crafting and evolving his sound as a performer, Tommy has been working with fellow Aberdeen producer Jamie ‘Kaeva’ Robertson, to hold some of the most infamous parties in the country as Co-Founder and Director of TLF Events. Since the early 2000’s he has played and held residencies at almost every notable underground club in his city, slowly becoming one of the most experienced and respected party starters going. In recent years, drawing on the influences of legends Dave Clarke, Edit Select, Mark Broom, Billy Nasty, Jeff Mills, and James Ruskin – Tommy has embraced Techno and settled into the genre he identifies with the most, creating the Audio Perversion project. Under the Audio Perversion moniker and with his residency at TLF, Tommy has supported & played alongside the likes of Billy Nasty, Gary Beck, Dustin Zahn, Edit Select, Tommy Four Seven, Hans Bouffmyhre, Mark Broom, Matador, and for TLF White with Tech House giants Pleasurekraft, Bontan, and Stefano Noferini. 2013 saw the first Audio Perversion release on Cubek Records with his track ‘Crypric’. CONTAINER PODCAST [24] JOTON Joton reaffirms in the genre he likes, with the one that most he is identified with and the one he blends as few rookies: dark techno, mixed with precision and speed. On special occasions and under the aka 'Sonny Crockett' Joton explores sounds from tech-house and electro, but he soon moves away from this aspect to focus on the purest techno. In 2005 he starts producing his own music and presents his 1st reference with Newrhythmic: a vinyl 12 " with Aitor Ronda. Since then Joton has grown to publish his work on international labels such as Fabric , Dynamic Reflection , Naked Lunch , Mastertraxx , Psychoskunk , Injected Poison Consumer Recreation Services , Parallel 125 , Ketra , Mono Basic Less N´ Less ... Joton opens 2014 with over 80 signed references, and among them there are collaborations with world-renowned producers such as Ben Sims , Oscar Mulero , Pacou , Paul Mac , Samuli Kemppi , Ben Gibson Grovskopa , A. Paul , Radial , Bas Mooy , Christian Wünsch , Jeroen Search... Joton is now indisputably a professional dj and producer. He finds the possibility, so long sounded to devote himself fully to music. As for work in the cabin: from 2005 shares space with devoted dj's as Kazu Kimura, Pepo or Exium ... and he continually learns from them. He runs with them their `tours’ around the peninsula. Before long his pieces of work are profiled in media such as magazine Dj1 or charts the likes of Dave Clarke , Ben Sims , Rolando , Jonas Kopp , Ben Klock , Pacou , Tommy Four Seven ,Truncate , Go Hiyama , Jerome Sydenham . . . A consequence of this increased media presence, increases Joton visits abroad, playing in the Netherlands , Germany , Ireland , Italy , Uk , Croatia Slovenia , Portugal ... so far. The turn of the decade - 2010 - imposes itself undisputed acceptance of digital format as a basis for any dj session: resistance to change that the heart and the love of vinyl suggest, can not, in practicefight against the evidence of a market that punishes the purist with a decreasing publication of new releases in the traditional format, vinyl ...But Joton makes this circumstance a chance and with Xone4D or CDJ discovers new possibilities that are a new boost to his ability to connect with the track that sounds under his rhythm. Not to mention a trained musician, studio engineer and a previous position as a live sound engineer. Timothy Alexander started making music in 2002 both in a live post-rock band and as an electronic instrumental act. Taking inspiration from the likes of Skinny Puppy, Nitzer Ebb, Ministr, Killing Joke and other more atmospherical acts such as Cult of Luna and Pelican, whilst making his own distinctive ambient soundscapes. Using computers as well as hardware synthesis, Tim was able to warp and mutate sounds as well as introducing drums to help build up more emotion throughout each tracks. This ambient project was developed into an unhealthy obsession where he was constantly aiming for more complex atmospheres and more relentless percussive elements. Sharing the stage with the likes of Surgeon, Dave Clarke, Gary Beck, Grovskopa, Audio Injection and Vince Watson, Timothy has learned to develop his mixing style which often comprises of up to 4 tracks at once, plus extra samples and loops. Supported by the best in the industry such as Speedy J, Chris Liebing, Tommy Four Seven and Audio Injection, Timothy is one of the true underground artists to watch out for. www.facebook.com/timothyalexander www.soundcloud.com/timothyalexander www.facebook.com/diacoperecords
