Harvest Bible Fellowship's weekly Message.
As Christmas approaches, we all long for something to rekindle our hope and wonder. This Sunday’s message, “Blessing in Believing,” starts with Mary’s visit to Elizabeth and the beautiful truth: “Blessed is she who has believed.” Together, we’ll explore how belief in something greater than ourselves can bring light to this season and our lives.

God's general will is lined out for us in scripture and we get to know God's will and ways through experience. This experience requires faith, integrity, and obedience. God's will and ways become clear to us as we choose to live God's way over and over again.

God's promises are unwavering. Although their fulfillment might not align with our expectations or make sense at the moment, our role is to remain obedient. Sermon Outline @ http://bible.com/events/49285368

Have you ever thought you were missing out? The fear of missing out (FOMO) is an emotional response to the belief that other people are living better, more satisfying lives or that important opportunities are being missed. FOMO often leads to feelings of unease, dissatisfaction, depression and stress. The Bible has clear instructions to deal with FOMO.

When you are the light of Christ Jesus in this world, you should expect opposition. Sometimes intense opposition. But, how can you stand firm without becoming hard and bitter?

This is a look at some of the reasons that God may have us wait on things. We are all impatient at times and want things now but here are some reasons God may have us wait. Take a look and see if some of these apply to your life and if they do, you will understand much more about God working in your life. To protect us, to guide us, to strengthen us, to help us, to bless us, to comfort us.

Jesus' disciples obeyed God and not man. In fact, they were willing to die for their faith in Jesus Christ. They said "We must obey God rather than men!" They trusted in God. They were confident that no matter the situation they were in, God would see them through. They were willing to die rather than give up on God. They would not worship other gods or idols. The disciples worshiped God alone.

Associate Pastor Ronnie Small gives his testimony in this message
There are things we can learn from the life of Joseph. Joseph was a man of integrity, and he found favor with Potifer and he was trusted and rose to a high rank, taking care of all that he had. Yet in all this, he was set up and was thrown into prison. When things don't make sense, don't demand to understand. We'll experience times in our lives when nothing makes sense. You might want to have answers, but simply trust in the Lord. Don't fail to be faithful. Keep trusting and stay faithful. How can you develop your faith? Be saturated in the Word. Be separated from sin. Be dedicated to the Son, and be activated by the Spirit. God wants us to manifest the fruits of the spirit. You are an ambassador to the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep serving. We need to be careful not to get bitter when things go wrong. Don't be unwilling to wait. Never undo in doubt what you stepped out in faith to do. If you don't know what to do, just wait. God has His schedule, and a lot of times His schedule is much different from our schedule. He is never early, He's never late. God is always on time. Don't let dreams dissolve. God is faithful. When things in life don't make sense, just keep on keeping on.

Now more than ever, we need people we can trust to lead us through this time of fear and uncertainty. We must remember that God is at the top of the list of who we trust. His word gives us promises and His son Jesus gave proof that we can trust God always. Take a few minutes to reaffirm your trust in God today. Sermon Notes @ http://bible.com/events/7206823

What is your true potential?
As we celebrate the awesome things God has done in our lives in 2017, we also take time to leave behind the baggage and hang ups that are keeping us from God's grace and mercy to start fresh in 2018.

Since the Gospel opens us up to correction and direction from the Lord, we should open ourselves to correction and direction from wise ones.
You say you believe in God. Do you really? Do you live your life as if God is in the room, or do you assume He's not paying attention? You call yourself a Christian. Are you who you say you are? This series walks us through a modern cultural phenomenon: the person who says they believe, but whose life bears no fruit. (* The notes for the sermon are a downloadable PDF so you can follow along.)

Life is like a series of doors. These doors offer options or choices. The question is: HOW will you know which door to enter? How will you know the right choice in life? John 14:26 says, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." We have a Guide, a Helper. We only have to tap into the Source of all wisdom.

Whenever we face trouble or pressure that is beyond us—we have to choose where we place our trust and dependence. We can choose to depend on ourselves (in effort and/or understanding) or we can choose to remember that our hope and help comes from God.
