Pastor Ed Taylor is in the middle of a study in Galatians. In chapter three, the apostle Paul drives home the point that God has promised salvation through Abraham and his seed, Jesus. And God always keeps His promises. The Galatians needed to be reminded of that, as legalists had come into the church telling them the work of Christ wasn't enough. Come, Holy Spirit — Week 3: God Keeps Us | Ephesians 1:11–14 Texts: Ephesians 1:11–14A lot of people fear that what started well may not finish well.In Week 3 of Come, Holy Spirit, Pastor Kevin teaches from Ephesians 1 and shows that the Holy Spirit is not only the One who fills God's people and leads God's people—He is the One who keeps God's people. He is God's seal and guarantee that what Jesus purchased, God will complete. This message is a powerful reminder that redemption is not fragile. In Christ, believers have obtained an inheritance, been sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, and given the assurance that their future is held by the faithfulness of God—not the strength of their own grip.If you have ever felt unfinished, insecure, or afraid you will not make it, this message points you back to the finished work of Jesus and forward to the promise God will surely complete.Broad River Church | Norwalk, CT Join us Sundays: 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM (English) | 1:00 PM (Español) Learn more or take your next step: https://broadriver.church/nextstepsFollow us on Instagram: @iambroadriverchurch
A land company promised poor settlers nearly two million acres of North Texas. For some of them the promise fell apart and left only graves on the prairie. That is where this sermon begins, at a roadside marker in Grapevine, and it turns out to be where Paul begins too.In Romans 4 he points us to a promise made to a man whose body was as good as dead and a womb that was closed, and he tells us why that promise held when so many others break. It never rested on anyone's strength. It rested on grace. This is not a lesson about having enough faith. It is the announcement that the God who makes the promise is the God who gives life to the dead, in a closed womb, in a house full of mourners, and in a sealed tomb outside Jerusalem.Part of Roman Roads, a summer series walking straight through Paul's letter to the Romans, one passage at a time, each week paired with a real Texas historical marker standing on the roads around us.Readings: Romans 4:13-25 and Matthew 9:18-26 Marker: The Peters Colony in Tarrant County and the Hedgcoxe War (Grapevine and The Colony)
From promises to take our kid to the ballgame, or to do something around the house or at work, we so often fail to keep our promises. God on the otherhand always keeps His promises. That we can count on. And pastor Ed Taylor underscores that today on Abounding Grace through this encouraging study in Galatians chapter three. Paul continues to prove how it is we can be sure that God keeps all of His promises when it appears to us like He might have broken a few to Israel.
While we have struggled to keep our promises, God does not. God is always faithful, always consistent, and always steadfast. He does not forget, he does not change His mind, and he does not fail. He is a promise keeper.Main Points:1. What is a promise? A promise is a declaration or assurance that someone will do a particular thing or that a specific thing will happen. 2. Because of our humanity and our own sinfulness, all of us have, at times, failed to keep our promises. We've made promises to God, others, and even ourselves that we have not kept. Thankfully, we serve a God who is abundant in grace and mercy.3. He has given us His word in print. We have his promises in black and white. As Jesus told Satan in Luke chapter four, “It is written.” We know He will keep His promises because His character is proven. Today, you and I can trust God's promise. If He has made a promise, we can be sure that He will keep it.Today's Scripture Verses:Numbers 23:19 - “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”Joshua 21:45 - “Not one of all the Lord's good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”Luke 1:37 - “For no word from God will ever fail.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group

You keep quitting the idea… but God keeps bringing it back. You've talked yourself out of it and buried it. Told yourself it was bad timing, wishful thinking, or maybe just something you made up in your own head. But somehow, the nudge keeps returning. The thing you cannot seem to shake, no matter how many times you try to move on from it. That's not random. In today's episode, we're talking about why God-given assignments don't simply disappear because fear showed up or because you walked away for a season. Sometimes the very thing you keep trying to quit is the exact thing God keeps resurrecting because He never asked you to let it go in the first place. I'm walking you through the spiritual truth behind why certain ideas keep resurfacing, the practical steps to stop running from the calling, and how to discern whether this idea is actually from God or just from you. We'll also dive into three powerful scriptures that will completely reframe every restart, and every season you thought you wasted, along with a simple three-question test to help you know if this is truly a God idea. If it keeps coming back, that may be your answer. It's time to stop quitting what God won't let die. I pray this blesses you! Ready to Make Consistent Income From a Podcast? God spoke to Jeremiah when he was in prison and promised to keep His covenant with Israel, that the LORD would cause His people to return to their land and rejoice in Him. Though God's people rebelled against Him, He would be like a shepherd who makes His sheep lie down in safety. We are flawed and fail, but God will be faithful to keep His covenant according to His grace. In this powerful message from 1 Peter and Hebrews, Pastor John Carter helps us discover how God's salvation is more than a moment—it's a lifelong work of grace, transformation, and restoration. Through biblical teaching and honest truth, this message reveals how the Father's love not only saves His children, but also disciplines, strengthens, and keeps them so they can finish strong in faith.

This is the story of how the nation of Israel got divided into the the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah, which was all part of God's perfect plan. In it we discuss what it means for God to fulfill His plans on this earth and how that practically plays out in people's lives. How do we reconcile the tension between God's sovereignty and our freewill.
Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus MinistriesOur mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with surrendered obedience, unshakable faith, and courage that holds fast under pressure. We believe truth matters, obedience costs something, and God always keeps the score. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God's Word with clarity and conviction, calling believers to stand firm when compromise feels easier than faithfulness.Today's Message“God Keeps the Score”Lee Arnold LiveScripture: Jeremiah 39:1–18Jeremiah 39 records the fulfillment of everything God warned Judah about for decades. The city of Jerusalem falls. Judgment arrives. Choices made in secret are exposed in public. Leaders who refused truth face devastating consequences, while those who trusted God—even quietly and courageously—are remembered, protected, and rewarded. This chapter reminds us that God is never indifferent to obedience or compromise. He sees every decision. He remembers every stand. And He always proves faithful to those who trust Him—no matter how small or unseen their faithfulness may seem.Key Takeaways• God always keeps His Word—both promises and warnings• What we ignore today often determines what we endure tomorrow• Delayed judgment does not mean dismissed judgment• Fear-driven leadership leads to destruction• Obedience may cost us in the moment but saves us in eternity• God sees faithful servants even when people overlook them• Mercy triumphs for those who trust and act in faith• God's rewards are certain, though not always immediateToday's ReminderZedekiah heard the truth repeatedly—yet delayed obedience until it was too late. Jeremiah stood firm—steadfast, rejected, imprisoned, and ignored—yet God never abandoned him. And in the midst of national collapse, God singled out one faithful man, Ebed-melech, and promised him deliverance simply because he trusted the Lord and acted with courage. This chapter proves a timeless truth: Whatever a person sows, they will reap. We may think we are the exception. We may believe time has erased the consequences. But God's justice is precise, patient, and unavoidable.God sees every act of faithfulness.God remembers every quiet prayer.God keeps the score—perfectly.Truth Statements• Standing for truth will often cost you• Weak leadership enables devastating outcomes• Obedience may bring hardship, not comfort• God always sees and sends help in His timing• Fear of people will keep us from God's bestThe question Jeremiah 39 leaves us with is sobering and personal:When obedience costs you something—will you stand, or will you run? When the pressure comes—will you ring the bell, or hold your ground?Because in the end, applause on earth fades—but heaven remembers faithfulness.Stay Connected• Sunday Sermons – Live on Zoom & Facebook• Wednesday Bible Study – He's The Solution Interactive Discussion• Daily Dose of Boldness – Daily encouragement from God's WordBe Bold for Jesus Conference 2026October 2–3, 2026Tickets & information at BB4J.comSupport the MissionHelp us continue sharing the Gospel and equipping believers to stand boldly for Christ in a world that desperately needs truth.Give at bebold4jesus.org#BeBoldForJesus #GodKeepsTheScore #Jeremiah39 #ObedienceOverFear #StandingForTruth #FaithThatEndures #LiveBoldly #BibleTeaching #SundaySermon #FaithInAction

Habakkuk: God Keeps His Promises
Why did God set Israel apart?
How could the God of the universe forget something? Well, He does forget—all the time—because if He remembered this one thing, that would be very bad... for us. In this episode of his verse-by-verse series on the book of Hebrews, Kevin reveals from Hebrews 10:1-18 how God forgetting leads to God forgiving. WATCH ON YOUTUBE • https://bcpodca.st/y/ep88

Fr. Mike reminds us that God keeps his promises, even if it takes a little longer than we thought. Just like the people of Israel received everything the Lord had promised them, we too will receive everything the Lord has promised us, even in the midst of hardship and temptation. Today's readings are Joshua 19-21, and Psalm 131. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/bibleinayear. Pastor Jeff Schwarzentraub proclaims that God keeps His word—or nothing else matters—especially His everlasting covenant with Israel, as vivid in Jeremiah 31:35-37: as long as sun, moon, and stars endure, Israel remains His nation. He unpacks scriptures like Hebrews 8, Galatians 3, and Romans 11, refuting claims God rejected or replaced Israel. God's sovereign promises to Abraham stand firm, uniting Jew and Gentile in Christ's new covenant while preserving Israel's future salvation. Trust His authoritative voice today. Send a textThe news cycle trains us to see war as strategy, alliances, and headlines but what if there's a spiritual war underneath the surface that most people refuse to name? We take a hard look at Iran through a biblical lens and ask a simpler, sharper question: does God still act in history, or have we quietly decided he doesn't keep a record anymore? We start where clarity always starts: the Word of God. We talk about why so many Christians ignore the Old Testament, why daily Bible reading is not optional, and why John's claim that “the Word became flesh” still changes everything. Jesus isn't an idea or a mascot; he is the living center of Scripture, and knowing him requires more than vibes and quick verses. Then we go to Joshua 10 and the battle of Gibeon, a story that forces modern readers to wrestle with divine justice, covenant faithfulness, and God fighting for his people. From there, we connect the “cup of iniquity” to current events and to the uncomfortable reality that grace does not rewrite God's character. Grace pulls us closer to the table of fellowship, not farther from truth. We also address Iran's decades of brutality, especially the devastation of women's rights since 1979, and we challenge the moral blindness that can make people celebrate slogans while ignoring real suffering. Finally, we talk about how God uses flawed leaders, why that should humble us, and why the mission remains repentance, mercy, and hope as God gathers a harvest in an increasingly intense world. If this helped you think clearly, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a review then tell us: what truth do you think people are avoiding right now?Support the show

Message preached at Grace Family Church, Caymanas Estate, Jamaica, by Sean Taylor on February 8, 2025.
Episode 2.77How does God give victory—and what happens when His people forget who the battle belongs to?In this episode, Michael and Zach walk through Joshua 5:13–12:24, the heart of Israel's conquest of the Promised Land. Beginning with Joshua's encounter with the Commander of the LORD's army, the episode makes a crucial point: Joshua never wins by strategy or strength—God fights for His people. From the fall of Jericho to the defeat at Ai, the text shows that victory depends on obedience and dependence, not confidence or cleverness. The sin of Achan reveals the seriousness of God's holiness and the corporate weight of covenant faithfulness. The covenant renewal at Mount Ebal reminds listeners that conquest is never separated from worship and God's Word. The episode also addresses difficult questions—divine judgment, total warfare, archaeology, and the justice of God—while keeping the focus where Joshua does: Yahweh as Divine Warrior, Judge, and Promise-Keeper. Even as Israel “takes the land,” the book makes clear that the victory is partial, pointing forward to a greater rest still to come.Joshua isn't about how great Israel was—it's about how faithful God is, even when His people stumble.Find our videocast here: https://youtu.be/RSksvCyu3zMMerch here: https://take-2-podcast.printify.me/Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/reakt-music/deep-stoneLicense code: 2QZOZ2YHZ5UTE7C8Find more Take 2 Theology content at http://www.take2theology.com
The Bible is full of promises. Some were made by God, and some were made by men. Man’s promises are notoriously flimsy (and often broken). Conversely, the promises of God are iron clad. In today’s study, we’ll consider one of those promises up close. Questions That We’ll Answer: A) What does the term ‘covenant’ mean? B) What promise did God make to Israel after the Exodus? C) What promises has He made to you and I as believers? Speaker: Dr. Toby Holt

To borrow from Mark Twain, “bad news can travel halfway around the world, while good news is still putting on its shoes.” When an influential believer falls into sin, it seems like we hear about it at the speed of light. But how do we reach out to someone who’s helped us, when they’re the ones who need help? Pastor Greg Laurie answers that question today on A NEW BEGINNING.
