Packinghouse's Wednesday night worship service from July 151, 2026. In Exodus 8–10, Pastor Greg explains how each plague was a direct judgment against the false gods of Egypt, revealing that the Lord alone has power over creation while exposing the emptiness of idols and Pharaoh's supposed divinity. He highlights Moses' remarkable transformation from a fearful, reluctant servant into a confident leader who simply obeys God's commands and leaves the outcome in God's hands. The study also contrasts Pharaoh's repeated hardening of his own heart with God's eventual confirmation of Pharaoh's chosen rebellion, demonstrating the danger of continually resisting the Lord. Throughout the message, Pastor Greg reminds believers that God always provides a way of escape for those who trust His word, faithfully blesses those who walk with Him, and desires that people from every nation come to know Him through faith. - Greg Opean - Wednesday, July 15, 2026

Packinghouse's Wednesday night worship service from July 13, 2026. In Exodus 7, Pastor Greg explores Moses' first confrontation with Pharaoh and the beginning of God's judgments against Egypt. The message highlights how God prepared Moses to faithfully obey even when success was not immediate, reminding believers that our responsibility is obedience while the results belong to the Lord. As Pharaoh repeatedly hardens his heart and the first plague exposes the emptiness of Egypt's false gods, the study emphasizes the danger of resisting God's truth, pursuing counterfeit spirituality, and placing our trust in idols rather than the living God. Ultimately, this passage encourages us to anchor our faith in God's Word, pursue Christ above signs and wonders, and trust His purposes even when the path ahead is marked by resistance. - Greg Opean - Wednesday, July 8, 2026

Acts 9:1–19 — The Conversion of Saul In Acts 9, Pastor Greg examines the dramatic conversion of Saul of Tarsus, showing how the greatest persecutor of the early church became one of Christ's greatest servants through a personal encounter with the risen Jesus. The message highlights God's power to transform even the hardest heart, reminding us that no one is beyond His grace and that our past does not disqualify us from His purposes. Through the courage of Ananias and Saul's complete surrender, the study emphasizes that God prepares each believer for a unique calling, often using life's hardships to shape us for future ministry. Ultimately, the passage encourages us to fix our eyes on Jesus, trust Him with the direction of our lives, and faithfully step into the assignments He places before us. - Greg Opean - Sunday, July 12, 2026

Changed hearts.  This is what Jesus is after in this part of His Sermon on the Mount.  It is not about check lists.  They will ALWAYS be imperfect.  Even when we have a TO DO list, and start crossing things off on it, you can still see through the scribbles and be reminded of not being able to be perfect when it comes to DOING what is needed to be done.  Also, there are some things that remain on our TO DO lists unchecked as we either run out of time to do them or ignore them out of inconvenience.   Jesus reminds us in these verses that our imperfections are not going to go away on our own.  However, Jesus, Himself, absolutely can and did perfectly fulfill the LAW for us.  His righteousness redeems us, not our “trying” hard enough to DO the things we have to do.  No, God promises to give us NEW HEARTS through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Our lights shine because of our transformed hearts, not out of our ability or inability to be righteous by upholding, perfectly, the Law of God, which we can't.  But HE can and HE did, for You and for me.  He took our imperfections to the cross and he finished what was needed for us to be saved.  Check√ Isaiah 49:1-6 Philippians 2:12-18 Matthew 5:13-16

You've heard this story so many times you can't hear it anymore. In Luke 15, Jesus tells a story about two sons — one who runs into self-destruction and one who stays home and turns to stone. Most of us know it as "the Prodigal Son." Most of us have heard it wrong. In this first week of The Parables of Jesus, Pastor Greg unpacks why Jesus told parables designed to break open your view of the world — and why this one has been working on him for ten years. You'll wrestle with the stories you tell yourself, why you do that, and why both 'finding yourself' and 'being a good person' leave you lost. Whether you've walked away from God, never met him, or have been quietly resentful in the back of the sanctuary — this story ends without an ending on purpose. The question is...what will you do with it?

Last week we heard that we are empty vessels filled with Jesus. This weekend we ask: What does a life look like when that vessel is full, oozing out? In the Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus declares, “You are the light of the world” and commands us, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” This is not about hiding Jesus or shining our own light, but allowing Christ's light to shine through us. When we are filled with Him, our good works, done in faith, love, and service, become visible reflections of His grace. Others see them and are drawn to glorify our Father in heaven. Pastor Greg Hendricks delivers a powerful message entitled, "Yes, Lord", calling believers to respond to Jesus with unwavering faith, complete surrender, and radical obedience. Through the story of Lazarus in John 11, we discover that faith is established long before trials attempt to shake us, and that God's greatest miracles often begin when we simply say, "Yes, Lord." Even when circumstances seem hopeless, Jesus is still the Resurrection and the Life, inviting us to roll away the stone, believe His Word, and witness the glory of God.This sermon challenges us to move beyond merely hearing the voice of Christ and begin walking in obedience. Just as Lazarus had to leave behind his grave clothes after being raised to life, every believer is called to lay aside the old nature and embrace the new life found in Jesus. Pastor Greg reminds us that while Lazarus walking out of the grave transformed his earthly life, Jesus walking out of the grave forever changed eternity for everyone who believes. If you're battling doubt, facing impossible circumstances, or longing for renewed faith, this message will encourage you to trust God's promises, live by faith instead of sight, and boldly declare, "Yes, Lord."

Pastor Greg utilizes the 250th anniversary of American independence as a backdrop to advocate for a spiritual "Declaration of Dependence" on God. Drawing from Psalm 25, he outlines how true faith requires yielding complete control and decision-making power to the Divine rather than relying on personal feelings like fear or anger. He emphasizes that humans are inherently stubborn and prone to exhaustion when attempting to navigate life's challenges alone. By highlighting King David's example, he argues that believers should trust God for all provisions and protection, seeking His specific will through prayer and scripture. Ultimately, he concludes that while political autonomy is valuable, a fulfilling life is found only through waiting on God and relying on His saving power.Support the showThanks for listening! Packinghouse's Wednesday night worship service from *date*. Exodus 5 — Trusting God When Obedience Gets Hard Following God's will does not always make life easier right away. In Exodus 5, Pastor Greg explains how Moses faithfully obeys God's command to confront Pharaoh, only to face greater opposition, discouragement, and criticism from both Pharaoh and the Israelites. The message explores why God sometimes allows trials to intensify before bringing deliverance, teaching that faith is built by trusting His promises even when circumstances seem to contradict them. Rather than abandoning the mission when life becomes difficult, believers are encouraged to remember God's character, stand firm in His Word, and trust that He is working according to His perfect timing. Ultimately, the study reminds us that God's presence—not immediate success—is the foundation of our confidence as we follow Him. - Greg Opean - Wednesday, July 1, 2026

Packinghouse's Wednesday night worship service from June 24, 2026. Exodus 4 emphasizes that God does not call people because they are qualified, but because He is faithful. Pastor Greg explains how Moses repeatedly offers excuses, focusing on his failures, fears, insecurities, and perceived weaknesses, yet God continually reminds him that His presence is all that matters. Through the signs of the staff, the leprous hand, and the Nile water, God demonstrates His authority over Pharaoh, sin, and Egypt, assuring Moses that He will accomplish His purposes despite human weakness. The message encourages believers not to let past mistakes, personal struggles, or feelings of inadequacy keep them from obeying God's calling, since He often chooses broken people who rely on His strength. Ultimately, God calls His people to stop making excuses, trust His promises, and step forward in faith, knowing that He equips those He sends. Follow us: - Greg Opean - Wednesday, June 24, 2026

[This episode originally aired on August 20th of 2024][Watch this on YouTube]Seacoast Church was started in 1988 by Pastor Greg and Debbie Surratt who moved from Illinois to Charleston, SC in 1987 with their four kids, Jason, Josh, Jessica, and Jenny. Early on, their family endured life-threatening hardship—two of the kids surviving a massive car wreck and their oldest daughter, Jessica, surviving an extremely close-call in a jet ski accident. On this episode, Pastor Greg, Pastor Josh Surratt, and Jenny Mayer (the youngest of the bunch) sit down with host, Joey Svendsen to discuss those dark times, including the narratives of those dreadful accidents. They reflect on God's goodness shown through church community and ponder these early seasons in the context of spiritual warfare and God's sustenance. The three also treat the listenership to some fun stories with  hilarious insight on the Surratt family, back in the old days when our Lead Pastor, Josh Surratt, still got spankings. On this EpisodeJenny Mayer / Instagram Greg Surratt / Instagram Josh Surratt / Instagram Joey Svendsen, host / InstagramSeacoast Podcast is now on InstagramBe a Patron of the podcast We have a YouTube Channel for videos of all episodes since Jan. 2024. We'd love to hear from you.  E-mail Joey HERE. Producer/Editor/host: Joey SvendsenSound Engineer/Editor: Katelyn Vandiver

Pastor Greg Scott closes out the final week of our teaching series, The Life of Abraham. Abraham modeled faith, responsibility, and leadership not just in his own life but in how he impacted others, including younger people like Lot. True legacy is built by thinking beyond the present and intentionally passing down faith, values, and spiritual truth. Rather than focusing only on personal success, believers are called to guide and influence those coming after them through integrity, honesty about their weaknesses, and consistent faith in God. In this message, Pastor Greg explores the following Scriptures: Genesis 18:18–19 Psalm 78:1–7 Malachi 4:6 Psalm 71 Psalm 145:4

1 Corinthians 14:3 | On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. So it is meant to build up, not tear down. But upbuilding doesn't mean it's always fluffy/positive. It could be corrective, but the end goal is constructive. True prophecy should leave one stronger in faith. Church, that's the power of prophecy. May we all be eager to prophesy. And remember, it's not the skill of the person, it's the gift of the Spirit.
