Life brings moments that feel too heavy to carry alone. But God surrounds us with His comfort and places people beside us. Today, let's open our hearts to receive that comfort—and be ready to extend it to those who need it.
If worry were an Olympic sport, some of us would qualify for the Gold Medal. But, in reality, life gives us so much to worry about, doesn’t it? The world is a mess, on so many levels. And we all have issues on a personal level, as well. But so many times, we’re so much more attached to our burdens than our burdens are attached to us. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie begins a message designed to set us free from the worry trap. Good encouragement worth taking some notes. Pastor Greg brings a powerful message on fixing your focus on thankfulness!
Pastor Greg begins our new sermon series through 1 and 2 Thessalonians and encourages us by expounding on the total Gospel transformation of the new believers in Thessalonica who were evidently changed by both God's Word and God's Power.
The world doesn't change… the Winds will always be present. But blessed are those today, who are saved and are getting baptized, because of the powerful change that takes place within them, not outside of them. Their sins are redeemed. Their soul is restored. Their mind is renewed. God has filled them with His Spirit, and the pneuma will always be present. Just as sure as the wind that blows against them, is the Holy Spirit inside them. So today, we celebrate their newness of life! Their new heart and new mind. Take a look at some of the testimonies of life now in Christ, and then we'll turn our attention to the baptism pool following.

In this week's episode of God Talk, Pastor Greg dives into the “3 P's” shaping our culture today: Politics, Prophets, and Perversion. He reflects on the current political climate in the U.S., growing ideological shifts, and fractures within both major parties. Then he turns to Jeremiah 23, warning against false prophets who offer “false hopes” by either distorting or avoiding God's truth. Finally, he shares a striking real-life story illustrating the brokenness of human nature. Through each topic, Pastor Greg points us back to our ultimate hope, Jesus Christ, the One who offers forgiveness and eternal life in the midst of a sinful world.
Join us as Pastor Greg leads us through the first week of this series.
All Saints Day. It can tug at your heart in a variety of ways. Our senses can quickly bring us back to one of our loved ones can't they? It could be a smell, something we see, something we smell or something or something we hear and we instantly have a loved one in our minds and also in our hearts. All Saints Day is a time to remember them fondly, but it isn't always easy. There is most certainly or was most certainly crying involved. Now there is waiting involved, waiting for Jesus to return on the Last Day, and there is hoping involved. Hope in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to restore all things including our loved ones to a new paradise where they(we) will walk in newness of life forever. Crying, Waiting and Hoping - What a process He has given us. Thanks be to God. Psalm 130 1 John 3:1-3 Matthew 5:1-12

In this episode of God Talk, Pastor Greg reflects on how his views on Halloween have shifted over the years. While he doesn't judge those who celebrate or hand out candy, he explains why he now sees the holiday as problematic, pointing to its roots in celebrating darkness and his own experiences confronting spiritual battles as a pastor. He discusses how cultural traditions can downplay the seriousness of evil, and why Christians may want to reconsider how they participate in Halloween. The conversation also touches on haunted houses, paranormal curiosity, and the reality of spiritual warfare in everyday life.
We are to act in faith and move with boldness and courage, but when we have actively done all that we could do, we patiently wait on God to do what only God can do. By faith you actively search for a job, diligently prepare for the interview, faithfully pray for God's provision; Then by faith you patiently wait for God to provide the position or the promotion he's prepared for you. By faith you actively seek counsel, pray for wisdom, read scripture for guidance about the future; then by faith you patiently wait on God's sovereignty to order our steps and open the doors.
If you've ever had heart burn, you know it isn't a burning that feels good. “Plop, plop, fiz, fiz. Oh what a relief it is. ” Or at least we hope. The heart burn that the two of the disciples felt as Jesus walked with them on the day he was resurrected was not a burning that needed relief. It was a burning from being in the presence of Jesus, the Word of God himself. Being in the presence of the Light of the World will do that to a person. But He is still present in many ways. That burning wasn't reserved just for the disciples. As we are in the Word and the Word is in us, indeed that burning feeling the disciples had while Jesus revealed the scriptures to them isn't going anywhere. It is here to stay. Revelation 14:6-7 Romans 3:21-28 Luke 24:13-35

World Evangelism Night from the Waltham Forest Conference with Pastor Greg Mitchell. From 2 Corinthians 12:14–15, this message lays out a “spending plan” for life and money: gladly spend and be spent for souls. Why some hold back. Why missions costs so much. Why it is worth it forever. Sometimes we may think that our effort, by itself, does count for much. Maybe we’re the only believer in our family . . . or the only Christian at work . . . or the only one in our group of friends at school. The odds are against us. Well today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie takes us to one of the most encouraging stories in the Old Testament. We’ll catch up with a military leader about to fight a battle, when God told him to send most of his army home so that God alone would get credit for the victory. During Jesus’ earthly ministry, He didn’t restore sight to just one eye. He didn’t feed most of the 5,000. He didn’t calm the storm on only half the Sea of Galilee. And He didn’t give part of His life on the cross to pay for some of our sins. Kids learn early on the playground that if a bully is bigger than them, it’s good to have a friend who’s bigger than the bully. A bully who’s met his match is no longer a threat. Well as Pastor Greg just said, greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Our adversary is no match for our Almighty God. We stand in victory when we stand with the Lord. We don’t take our young kids to the shoe store to learn to tie their shoes. We don’t take them to the dentist to learn to brush their teeth. The Christian life has been compared to a race. And it certainly is that. But given the opposition we often face, it could also be compared to an obstacle course. It’s a tough assignment to “run to win” when our adversary is trying to trip us up and stop us in our tracks.
