Simply Walk The Talk

SinuSonic, a revolutionary new solution for nasal congestion relief, was invented in 2016 by David Lewis and Dr. Richard K. Bogan. Longtime partners in health ventures related to sleep medicine. It all started after Dr. Bogan personally ‘discovered' the positive impact that humming provided to his own nasal congestion. SinuSonic's design is based on their extensive research of the therapeutic effects of positive expiratory pressure (PEP) and vibration on airway functionality and mucous movement in chronic lung conditions. After exhaustive research, product designs and testing, and initial trials, SinuSonic was born… #JoshuaHolland #DavidLewis #SinuSonic #NasalCongestionRelief #Innovation #DrRichardKBogan #HealthVentures #SleepMedicine #HummingTherapy #TherapeuticEffects #PEP #AirwayFunctionality #MucousMovement #ChronicLungConditions #ProductDesign #MedicalInnovation | SINUSONIC | Website - https://sinusonic.com/ IG - https://www.instagram.com/sinusonic FB - https://www.facebook.com/sinusonic Join Host

For most people with narcolepsy, management plans require implementation of ongoing pharmacological therapy to keep symptoms under control. Patients may also need substantial lifestyle adjustments, such as maintaining nocturnal sleep hygiene and regular scheduling of daytime naps. Narcolepsy management plan development should consider balance between the tolerance to available medications and impact of certain comorbidities associated with the disorder. The prevalence of certain comorbidities is higher in patients with narcolepsy compared with matched controls; this is true both at diagnosis and at prolonged follow up. The increased frequency of comorbidities among patients with this condition should be thoroughly reviewed while creating individualized management strategies. Comorbidities that are more prevalent in patients with narcolepsy include psychiatric and sleep conditions, as well as cardiovascular and cardiometabolic conditions. This episode is produced by Sleep Review and is episode 2 of a 5-part series sponsored by Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Host: Richard K. Bogan, MD While positive airway pressure is the standard of care treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), it may not always be enough to address the excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) that some patients experience. In fact, in one study, up to 34 percent of patients with OSA still reported EDS (Epworth Sleepiness Score ≥10) despite more than 5 hours of CPAP use a night. Here, Dr. Richard K. Bogan, Associate Clinical Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and Chairman and Chief Medical Officer at SleepMed, Inc., sheds light on the prevalence of EDS in OSA. Specifically, Dr. Bogan discusses key data that has raised important observations about how commonly EDS may persist even when patients adhere to CPAP therapy. This promotional, non-CME program is intended for U.S. physicians treating OSA. Guest: Richard K. Bogan, MD Emerging science can help us better understand the link between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS). While many factors, such as insufficient sleep, medication, or comorbid disorders, can cause your patients with OSA to feel sleepy, chronic sleep disruption and chronic intermittent hypoxia associated with OSA may also contribute to EDS. Here to discuss the important physiologic changes to gray and white matter that may occur in OSA and lead to EDS is Dr. Richard K.
