Salme Dahlstrom – a.k.a. Salme -- is a New York-based  musical artist who writes, performs and produces  irrepressible dance music.   She is releasinga new album and we are going to debut  it Friday on MusicFridayLive! Romance and Rebellion. Emerging from the bubbling hip warren of production studios, venues and meetups in the Echo Park district of LA,  David LaViola (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Aaron Medina (Lead Guitar, Harmony Vocals), Kyle Jordan Mueller (Drums), and Brandon Davis (Bass, Harmony Vocals), formed the band Romance and Rebellion in 2015 and quickly gained traction in the crowded Los Angeles market.  After capturing the attention of famed producer Stefan Litrownik (Andy Grammer, One Direction), they began work on their debut EP, a project that would produce the addictive, beat-driven single, “More Than Friends.”  They are the essence of youth exuberance and their growing local fanbase will soon be national. Goodbye Blue is the duo  Charlotte Kendrick and Dan Rowe who write and sing  melodic,  personal Americana-Folk  reminiscent of classic  story-telling artists.  Both Charlotte and Dan grew up playing music and their separate lives took many turns – including Charlotte’s 2 years in the Peace Corps – before they met through a music producer relative of Dan’s.  They synced immediately and played and toured extensively until a family of three children arrived, which slowed them to a crawl musically (although not logistically!). Their new album  “Worth the Wait” marks their re-emergence into Americana music 

Salme Dahlstrom, the Acid Cowgirl Licensing Queen returns with her electro pop dance music with a little supernatural touch for our Halloween show..  She is a  one-woman dynamo with mass appeal in radio ready songs like "Superstar Car Crash"  and  tracks like "C'Mon Y'All"  that are good sound and good fun. With songs on the Billboard Dance Chart and the Global Dance TraxTop 100, she never stops.  And she brings us her newest album Pop Propagana 2.   PP2 is full of hot summer music to keep your Halloween warm and maybe scare you a little with the high energy that only Salme can deliver. Mallory Tunnel premieres her debut EP, Words on Music Friday this Halloween. She will release the unique piano infused electro pop album in two weeks and we have teh first first preview.  Mallory is a natural born songwriter who  did some profitable time in  Nashville and now  connects to her audience with punchy melodies and feel good declarations  that aren’t quite so feel good on closer listening.  She creates a sound that expertly mixes the two distinctly different aesthetics:  delicious mainstream pop  and introspective and sometimes really tough lyrics. This angelic looking songstress with a demonic side is scary fun and we get to talk with her on Halloween.

It's a big one this week enough to keep you going over the festive period as I will be taking a couple of weeks off. A nice chilled out start to this weeks podcast with the beautiful Late Riser, followed by the equally beautiful These Fine Galleons. Matt from  King Never makes everyone feel beautiful buy that tune here  The Hostages may think they are beautiful but they're not a patch on Salme Dahlstrom who is quite gorgeous and you can buy her track here WaxEsatz are from up north so anything is possible. May KB makes beautiful music so therefore must be beautiful. Paul Lane from Unplug The Jukebox isn't as beautiful as he thinks........or is he? I encouraged everyone to go out and find their own X Factor out in their town unless you want to watch people who think they can sing but can't. There are loads of musicians doing plying their trade so forget the mediocre rubbish on the tv and get out and enjoy yourself.
