Have you even noticed that when something is far away it looks VERY different than when it is close up? Our relationship with Jesus is the same way. If we keep Him distant and only see Him from afar, then we are missing out on so much he has to offer our lives. This week we will explore the Heart of Heaven, and what happens when we decide to move closer to Jesus, and how that changes everything!

Researchers have determined that there is ONE difference between the happiest and unhappiest people. And that difference isn't money, social status, physical appearance, I.Q., or possessions. It's the presence of joy-producing, life-giving relationships. That's right...people! Flourishing isn't just about connecting to God (and being connected to God), it's about connecting to God's people. In this message, Max Vanderpool offers some practical steps to activate your tribe.

No parable of Jesus is better known than the story of the Prodigal Son. In Pastor Jeff’s powerful series on Things Lost, he will speak on The Lost Son. What lured him out of the Father’s house? What did he discover in the far country? What does his father’s response when he came home tell us about God?

The story of the prodigal son is one of the best-known stories in the Bible. We all can relate to it in one way or another because we have all experienced at one time: Rebellion Fallenness Repentance Forgiveness & Rejoicing And while we see this as the story about the wayward son, ultimately, this is a story the Father’s love for the lost. Please listen to this message and hear your Heavenly Father calling you to come home.

In the parable of the Prodigal Son, the image of his father’s servants having enough is the first image that comes to him when he “came to his senses.” And it was those servants who helped throw a great party when he returned home. As servants of God, that’s our job!

: One of the greatest dangers we face as Christians is when we do not do what God tells us to do. We hear, but we do not make the self-adjustments to correct ourselves. The Prodigal Son came to himself and realized where he should be. And he took corrective measures to fix himself. We must be willing to do the same thing when God speaks to us.
This sermon is the powerful story of how God called one man to follow him.
God has provided us with the only solution to our sin problem: forgiveness through Jesus. As part of our identity in Jesus, we now count ourselves “forgiven”!
Many of us have prodigal relatives... and perhaps we bathe in the hope found in the parable of the prodigal son. What does this parable really say? And where is our hope firmly placed?
When we first understand the depth of God's love for us, when we come to the understanding that all of our past is laid at the Cross, and when we understand that we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, we find this a very relieving and exciting time in our lives. We are on fire to serve the Kingdom. Too quickly, though, our interests get distracted from those things that are good and worthy, and we find ourselves back in some of the same mess we were in before. If you feel you've lost your love for the Father, if the things of the world pique your interest more than those of the Kingdom, or if you feel God's blessing and favor are absent in your life, then it's time to turn back to God and come back to the Father's house. Get your heart on God and keep your focus on Him!

Jesus' beautiful story of the Prodigal Son is more than a lesson about God's love. It also illustrates some powerful principles for parenting. We see 3 stages in this parent-child conflict
It's no secret that America is a nation of consumers. We consume; that's what we do. We maximize EVERYTHING for our benefit. And, for better or worse, we take that same approach to our faith. We approach God for what God can do FOR us, what God can GIVE us. And when we do that, we miss out on something very, very special.

As followers of Jesus, you and I play an essential role in God’s plan for the lost to be found. We must be active and faithful in trying to bring the lost to Christ. Before we will be active in seeking to bring the lost to Christ, we must be convinced of the power of the Gospel to lead people to Jesus. We must be convinced of Jesus' desire and power to save the lost and restore the backslider. Today we'll look at a story that will reaffirm to us Jesus' desire to save the lost and restore the backslider.

One of the strongest influences over our life is our identity or self image. Greg Kloxin continues the series on Identity by teaching what it means to be biblically righteous, how we become righteous, and what happens when we don't walk in the righteousness that comes from God.
