There's an intriguing verse in the Bible, in the tiny book of Philemon. It's Philemon 1:6 and it says, “I pray that you will be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of all the good things that you have in Christ Jesus.” You would think God would have said, “I pray you'll be active in sharing your faith because I need your help so much.” Right? But He says, share your faith so you will understand all the riches you have in Christ. It's amazing! The God who needs no one has chosen to work through and in His children. We can bless others by sharing with them the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ, and in turn we are blessed as our understanding grows. As we watch people's lives being transformed by God, we can more fully grasp what He has done in our own lives. [It's a win/win situation!] Let's joyfully share our faith, knowing that God will bless us as well as those we are talking with. This is Andrew Palau. Have you ever done something so bad, that you felt like running away was the only option? Maybe you broke a plate you weren't supposed to be playing with, or ruined a precious piece of furniture. Or what about scratching your dad's car.... Hm. Destin would say that sounds familiar! (Scripture: Philemon, Romans 8:38 and 39, Mark 3:28)

God doesn't make us use resources at our disposal to advance the Kingdom of God, but it is His heart for us through Christ, though there will be trials, to willingly lay down our lives. Scripture: Philemon 1:5 and 14 "...thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus" and "do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly."

In all but one of his letters, Paul told his audience that he thanked God for them. Being grateful for one another celebrates the love that true believers have for each other, and encourages both them and us as we move through our journey of faith together.
