Hermann Oak has been tanning leather in St. Louis since 1881, and they pretty much still do it the same way—one way, which of course is veg-tanning. Traditionally a major player in the equestrian leather world, Hermann Oak is edging into the quality footwear space in a hugely exciting way. So I chatted with Hermann Oak President Drew Gulick about the tanner's deep history, how making footwear leather is different from equestrian or tooling leather, and of course their core bridle, harness, and latigo products. A sermon from Pastor Tim Schieck in Isaiah
Luke 5:33-6:11 When legalism replaces the way of Jesus, a lack of love and concern for others results, and people’s needs for forgiveness, for daily provision, and for healing, are overlooked.
“Behold, all things have become new." It means: stop, look with intention, see what is actually in front of you. The categories by which you have known yourself - your history, shame, accumulated failures, your worst moments and your best ones - none of these are who you are anymore. Your exhausting effort to arrive at a worth that God has already freely given you has passed away.

This week the Jerusalem church's reaction to the inclusion of Cornelius and his household raises significant questions such as, “what type of community is the church if it's truly a Kingdom outpost?” And, “how do we become people capable of partnering with God's creative redemptive action in the world?”

In the past two months, we have experienced fresh wind and fresh fire in our church. We have seen God answer our prayers above and beyond what we could ever have imagined. Our TOGETHER We Pray Ministry launched on January 1 this year. I did believe the Lord would begin to work in ways we had not seen. Additionally, we observed 21 Days of Prayer in January. Hundreds of people participated. Prayer was the turning point. Right now, we have 354 PEOPLE WHO ARE A PART OF OUR TOGETHER We Pray Ministry. To be a part of this ministry, wherever you are, you commit to allocate 30 Minutes each week to pray for our church specifically, using points of prayer I personally prepare and send to you monthly. Join us today, and let's climb over 400 praying for 30 minutes each week for our church. Join now! Prayer is the greater work. The more we pray, the greater God will work in us and through us. Due to what God is doing among us, I felt deeply compelled to call us to understand the significance of this moment.

In this episode, Pastor Rachel continues the "We Are Believers" series, teaching that true belief is an action verb that must be "cranked" like an ignition to align our lives with what God says about us. She highlights two essential areas that set believers apart: walking in the fear of the Lord—defined as a jaw-dropping reverence and heart-bowing humility—and being heirs of the "new thing" that God is springing forth today. Through a stirring personal testimony of choosing the "applause of heaven" over the "fear of man" (and the contagious "What Would People Say" syndrome), Pastor Rachel illustrates the power of living for God's approval alone. As new creations in Christ, we are encouraged to overcome the "muscle memory" of old habits by meditating on the Word and embracing our new identity, purpose, and divine resilience. This message concludes with a call to a "humble strut," activating our faith to lay hands on the sick, offer hope to the hurting, and use our words to lift up everyone we encounter. Focused Scriptures: Mark 16:15, Acts 2:42, Proverbs 29:25, John 8:29, Isaiah 43:19, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Proverbs 1:7.

Send us Fan MailRemember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18,19Isaiah 43 might not be the first passage that comes to mind when considering the cross and the resurrection. But in this passage, God lays out His redemptive plan for His people Israel. Isaiah is prophesying to a people who are still in bondage and in exile in Babylon. He is pointing them to a ransom that is yet to come. The move for Israel would be more than just a change of address, it would be a spiritual rebirth. For us, the cross is prevalent in the midst of this "new thing" God is doing and we can trust Him because of what Jesus did on the cross. Finally, we have the opportunity at Easter to recommit and say "God what do you want to do through my life because of this new thing?" I pray this message strengthens and encourages you -- this Easter and beyond.
Daryl speaks about how God is doing a new thing now. God promises to always be with us throughout all time therefore we do not have to fear.

Have you ever wondered if God can truly make a new beginning out of your past mistakes and present struggles? In this powerful Sunday message, Pastor Donnie McClurkin reminds us that God's promises are greater than our past and stronger than our fears. Drawing from Isaiah 43, Pastor McClurkin encourages believers to trust that even when life feels uncertain, God is already preparing something new. Through Isaiah's prophetic message to Israel—spoken during a time of exile and hardship—Pastor Donnie McClurkin reveals how God reassured His people of restoration, renewal, and hope. He also highlights the powerful prophecy given 700 years before the birth and suffering of Jesus Christ, demonstrating the faithfulness of God to fulfill every promise. Throughout the sermon, Pastor McClurkin shares heartfelt personal testimonies of overcoming fear, hardship, and spiritual battles, reminding us that when we stand on God's Word, fear must be rebuked and every negative power must be bound. No matter what we've faced, God's plan for our future is always greater than our past. When we choose faith over fear and trust God's promises, we position ourselves to experience the "new thing" He is already preparing. Be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that God's love and deliverance are still at work in your life today. Message from Pastor Daniel Bernard on February 8, 2026
God isn't just giving you a new word for this year. He is inviting you into a new way of living. In this message, “A New Thing: A New Plan,” we wrap up our A New Thing series across our Baytown, Crosby, and La Porte campuses and lean into this truth: A New Thing requires a New Plan. Most people do not miss their goals because they do not want change. They miss them because they never decide how that change will happen. Good intentions are common. Intentional living is rare. From Isaiah 43, we see that God is already doing a new thing, but we have a part to play. We do not drift into spiritual maturity, financial freedom, or healthy relationships. We train for it. In this message you will learn why God is a planner and why you should be too, the difference between trying and training in your faith, how to name the life you are training for by starting with identity, how to identify the barriers holding you back, and how to choose simple, God-honoring practices in your spiritual, financial, and relational life. If you are tired of trying harder and ready to start training with purpose, this message will help you build a God-centered plan for your next season.
